What To Expect
Leave your Hurghada hotel by air-conditioned vehicle and travel to the departure port for your full-day snorkeling trip. Step aboard your boat and find a comfortable spot on the shaded or sun deck. Meet your friendly crew and, after a safety briefing, hear an introduction to the snorkeling stops planned for the day.
Then, enjoy a scenic cruise out onto the Red Sea to the first site. Your knowledgeable skipper will drop anchor at three prime snorkeling spots during the day, each known for its coral reefs and good variety of marine life. As you sail, hone your tan and watch for the dolphins that visit the local waters.
On arrival at each site, put on your own snorkeling gear or use the equipment provided on board, and jump into the water to explore.Admire the vivid corals, and drift through schools of exotic species of fish such as clown and butterfly fish, groupers, parrot fish and more — all brilliantly visible in the translucent waters. Watch, too, for other marine life, such as spotted rays and turtles.
If you prefer not to snorkel, content yourself with dips in the sea or simply catch the rays on deck — the choice is yours. During your trip, take a break at around midday to enjoy a scrumptious lunch served on deck by the crew.
When the time comes, sail back to port and finish your trip with a drop-off at your hotel.

This was such a great trip and so glad that I found it. The guides were friendly and made sure that everyone got the best experience possible. The waters were gorgeous shades of blue that are breath taking. We saw dolphins and were able to swim near them. Highly recommend!

It promised 3 snorkeling sites. The first one was a pristine reef with amazing abundance of fishes but there were about 30 boats at the same site, anchoring 4 deep, very crowded. The second one was a reef with mostly dead corals, overgrown with algae. The third site was the same reef, just about 100 yards over, on the other side; with the same dead corals and algae. The customers on the boat were about 50% local families where the fathers chain smoked. The other half was mostly Russians where both sexes chain smoked and started vodka shots around 9AM. The whole time they were blasting awful Russian pop, sounded like polka.

A modest journey. Recommended for those who have never seen the underwater world.
Pieved you on an empty island where there is only the inscription paradise and nothing more.
Snorkelling from the shore, seeing only a few coastal fish. Do not see sea turtles or other bigger fish.
Life jackets are not even offered - especially for those who snorkel for the first time or do not swim.

Very well-organised from start to finish. Pick-up from our hotel arrived on time and took us to the dock where we boarded the boat after collecting complimentary equipment. The guys on board were super friendly and kept the children on the tour amused by making funny headgear from beach towels! We were clearly briefed on what to expect and the crew spoke multiple languages very impressively. The first snorkelling site was about an hour out to sea and immediately we got in the water we were surrounded by hundreds of beautiful exotic fish- our guide, Shark, even showed off an enormous eel. The fish were completely at ease with the humans and swam right up to and all around us. After a 45 min swim we got back on the boat and travelled a short distance to the next site where we were again surrounded by all sorts of sea creatures. Lunch was served on the boat after that and was delicious with a good variety of different dishes. After lunch the boat stopped at Giftun Island, where we were able to spend the time however we chose, sunbathing or swimming. There was plenty of coral with gorgeous fish just a few steps into the ocean and miles of white sand beaches so, even though there were many tour boats and tourists, it didnt feel crowded or overly busy. On the trip back we were invited to view the pictures the crew/ guides had taken throughout the day: although we were encouraged to buy the CDs of photos I didnt feel under pressure and chose not to make a purchase. On landing, our transport was waiting to take us back to our hotel. We were very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely recommend it.

Overall, good trip, the boat ride to the snorkeling area was pleasant and comfortable. Once at the location be prepared! With many other boats in the vicinity it is very crowded and is a bit of a 'free for all' although the guides tried to keep us together but it is very crowded. This part of the trip was a let down. Snorkeling was okay but I guess as the place was crowded by people I think this must have spooked the more exotic fish as we only saw a few. The staff on the boat and supporting in the sea were very good and not pushy on selling their photo's and videos back on the boat so this was very nice. I just think it was too rushed and crowded and with younger children, less able snorkelers it was not the best. Food was good and adequate so no issues there. If members want a more personal and a little more time then I would suggest a different trip. Value for money was okay but I was not prepared for the amount of other boats from other tour guides in the same location and arriving at the same time.

This day trip could be much better if the initial stop on the beach on Giftun Island was omitted. The beach there is just the same as on land and this long stop is a waste of time. This is supposed to be a snorkeling trip, nut sunbathing. The other two reef stops were good. The lunch was also good, and the staff on the boat was very friendly and helpful.

It was a fantastic day. Starting with the transfer from the hotel to the friendliness and helpfulness of the guides and boat staff. Lunch was delicious. The 3 stops breath taking. My son panicked, but was helped by 1 of the instructors and had a great day. We would go on this tour again.

This trip was amazing. The people were polite + friendly. We visted Giftun Island for 1 hour and then two snorkelling spots for 45 mins or so each. Even down to the photographer who asked if we were a couple (being gay we were hesitant..) said yes and he smiled and said hold hands for a photo.. A++

I was picked up at my hotel in the morning after which I was given snorkelling gear and I spent a whole day on the water. We snorkelled for around 45 minutes each at 2 different reefs with lots of fish and beautiful coral and in the afternoon we made a 1 hour stop on Giftun island. On the way back to Hurghada we saw a group of dolphins as well. Lunch was good and coffee, tea and softdrinks were all included. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Overall this tour was excellent value for money.

I would spend the extra money and go out with a better boat and tour group. Equipment was mediocre. Staff was not helpful at all. We wasted hours just sitting on the boat. The red sea and most of egypt is amazing. Like the rest of egypt, it gets ruined by its people.

Brilliant trip. All snorkelling equipment supplied, all you had to bring was a towel. Taxi picked us up from our hotel. Boat crew very friendly and helpful in and out of the water. Stopped twice for snorkelling and once for a beach stop wear sandals as the beach has a lot of stones . Had lunch on the boat. Highly recommend this trip.

The staff and other passengers were friendly and we had a great time. The snorkelling itself was a little disappointing. We stopped in 3 places, the first was absolutely packed with other trips and very hemmed in. The other 2 spots were less busy but not as interesting.

We booked through viator as the trip was much cheaper than similar trips offered in the hotel. The only downside was that I had to call them to confirm the trip. Pick-up worked fine, they were 15 mins late though. With a bus we travelled to a little harbour and went on the boat. It was quite confusing as there where two boats and we weren’t sure if we are on the right one. Afterwards we had to wait quite a long time, no one informed us why. Apparently we were waiting for more buses. Once on water, we head to an island first. Some ppl booked only snorkeling (us for example) and some snorkeling AND an island trip. It was quite chaotic as no one really knew if they have to get off. Anyway, we stayed on the boat and went for our first snorkeling trip. We had a guide we had to follow. Again, quite chaotic as several boats stop at the same time, so at times there are at least 100 snorkels in the water. Also, our guide did not speak English so was not able to point out fishes. What bothered me most was that a family on our tour always stood on the reef for taking a rest and the guide didn’t say anything. Being a diver myself, I know that the first rule under water is to NEVER EVER touch anything. Me and my boyfriend were really shocked that no one said something. There were some fishes to be seen, but as there were sooooo many ppl (also from other boats), it was not that enjoyable. The lunch we were served was nice and there was another snorkel stop in the afternoon. Same procedure: chaotic and sooooo many boats and ppl.
Would I do it again? I think so, but only because a week in a resort is quite a long time so a day on a boat is a nice change.

From booking this trip online to pick up from the hotel everything was fantastic , so glad i booked it . The day was great the guide talked you through everything on the boat before we stopped and explained things. My only moan is that our pick up back to the hotel when the trip had finished didnt turn up so a taxi had to be arranged to take us back.

Brilliant day, slight delay in arriving and transport to marina was dubious but staff aboard boat were fantastic, one member even gave my partner a quick snorkelling lesson to make sure we enjoyed it. We visited 3 sites and saw some fantastic views. Recommended.

Have to say it was a bit chaotic, lot´s of people trying to find out which boat they belong too, but from there it was so great. Our guide was super, he informed us well, my daughters first time so she was a bit insecure...First place in the water was great only us, second and third a bit crowded, but our guides in the water had they eyes on us all the time. Food was great, free water and tea on board all day was nice....I booked the trip from home and we should have been out on Tuesday, got sick and instead they moved it to Friday for us, fantastic service.....Have to say it´s not my last time we use Viator.......Thank´s for an awesome day...... Even the CD we bought is great....

Slight confusion with the transport on collection from our hotel but after 15 minutes this was resolved. The trip itself was absolutely amazing and words cant describe the experience my family and I endured. Our boat and the staff on board were exceptional. the lunch provided was fresh and plentiful too. As for the beach and sea we were stunned at how clear the waters were. Snorkelling was out of this world and to see such variety of fish swimming freely at your feet and some even at my side was just brilliant and well worth every penny. Would recommend this trip to all. Couldn't fault it !!!

Excellent boat but it will depend which provider you will be allocated on the day. We had a wonderful day with 'Solace' - the crew was excellent. I cannot fault them : they were attentive and funny and made everyone feel comfortable. I highly recommend this company. They didn't force us spend on unwanted items. We had a wonderful day - Solace made 3 stops for diving and another in Paradise Island. Cokes and mineral water was available on the boat for whose who needed it (at lunch) free of charge.
