An exhilarating experience - my husband's favourite trip of our whole holiday (& we did a lot!). NOTE: you will get very dusty so wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Helmets were optional but would recommend wearing one.

Never have I experienced such a boring atv ride… The pickup from the hotel was on time and the driver was really nice and kind.
The tour itself disappointed us. We could only ride in a line, and stay in line. The guide had an angry face all ride and wasn’t nice at all. We like adventure and to cross a little bit with the atv, at least have some freedom. You have 2 stops in the ride, the first stop is at the sea and you have a nice viewpoint. You ride in a straight line to the first stop that’s not even 30 min ride. And after that you return to the start also in a straight line. The second stop wasn’t necessary and not a good viewpoint, we were standing next to trash and the guide didn’t say anything he just starting texting on his phone. This stop is just to fill the time… the only positive thing is that we got to ride an atv, but never have I experienced a ride like this. If you like easy and short ride then maybe it’s something for you. But for me it disappointed

The pick up was fine and we were put in a small group of 6 including one child! We arrived at our destination at Makadi Bay and was met by guide who took us to a meeting room. We were all then asked to purchase head scarves and goggles which were 4 euros per item ( 8 euros each)! Then we were taken to the quads and asked if anyone had never driven a quad and a lady ( who had a young child with her) said she hadn’t. She was told quickly how it works then after being offered safety hats which I and the young child took, we were off! We rode across very hard and rough sand which was extremely difficult! The young sole guide went fast as one of the group was racing and bantering with him! He didn’t stop for anyone to catch up or check we was ok! I am an experienced rider but found the terrain very challenging as the hard bumps were difficult to navigate! My helmet knocked my goggles which in knocked my glasses making it hard to see! The stop at the bay had stunning views and was a chance to get over the ride and prepare for the return which I wasn’t looking forward to and I usually love riding quads!The others walked down a steep slippery slope to get photos on a ledge but I didn’t feel safe enough with the young guide. We set off again and stopped after 5 mins on a beach where the guide picked up 2 hermit crabs to scare for fun (and he didn’t return them)! We got back after another awfully bumpy and hard ride where I almost fell off and my partner gripped so tight he had blisters! I have not been so relieved to see a main road! We got back thankfully and was offered free water! Fortunately our driver arrived after 10 mins! After talking to another guide he said the quads only go to that area which is hard due to the climate and many people have had accidents! He said the months of November to April are when locals quad! It’s put me off dessert quads for the foreseeable

As experienced quad riders, we were thrilled to see the option to choose between a fast or normal-paced group and going with the fast group was the best decision we made. The ride was exhilarating from start to finish, with a dynamic route that took us tearing through rugged mountain trails all the way to the sea.
The pace was perfect for those who love a bit of adrenaline, yet it still felt safe and well-organized. Once we reached the coast, we had a chance to pause, soak in the breathtaking scenery, and catch our breath before heading back. The contrast between the dusty mountain paths and the serene seaside view made the whole experience unforgettable.

We got a private driver which took 35 minutes from the hotel he was very lovely and spoke good English. When we got there we waited about half an hour before getting on the av bike we paid for double but we got on a single one which said in capital (DO NOT CARRY PASSENGERS) we stopped 3 times which took about 2 hours. If you’re faster and more confident you go on a separate better route. They took pictures on your phone for free which was good. You get a bottle of water at the end of the trip. Over all the trip was good apart from the single av which we paid for double

Positive, nice trip through the desert to a beach Our ATV was in good condition and quite easy to manoeuvre.
Ride back to the Center at sunset was sensational!
One star less for the Organisation. Pick up van arrived 20 minutes late. At the ATV Center all seemed to be rushed, no instructions, no overview of the trip etc.
Also at the beach, no information how long we would stay. The free bottle of water was provided at the very end of the trip when we arrived again at the ATV Center.

The company started by whatsapping us to pay an additional $5 per person for picking us up from the hotel which was wrong. They never mentioned it on the booking. The person who whatsapped me insulted me when I was upset about the ride not been private and why we were been charged. Then their customer service was the worst we experienced in Egypt. They also didn't give us our camel ride claiming that the camel or its rider was sick. I reported them to Viator who refunded the $5 per person back to our account. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They are thieves. Viator treated us well. Rubbish company

Avoid at all costs – Total scam
Hurghada: Sea and Mountains ATV Quad Bike Tour in Egypt was an absolute disaster and a complete scam from start to finish. First of all, no eye protection was provided, and we were told we had to pay extra — something that was never mentioned during booking. Everywhere else we've gone quad biking, googles and helmets are standard and included for safety. Not here. That alone should have been a red flag.
We were told water was included, but after a long 2-hour wait in the desert heat (post pick-up), we were handed bottles mid-ride — and then forced to pay for them, being told “only the water at the office is free”. By the time we got back to the office, it had been over 3 hours and we were already dehydrated. A total bait-and-switch.
To make matters worse, they took photos during the ride (without telling us pricing), so we didnt agree on price, and when we followed up to purchase them, they claimed the photos were lost. Either they deleted them or just didn't want to deal with us because we questioned the cost.
It was an absolutely disgusting experience that ruined our first holiday in Egypt. Sadly, this wasn't the only scam we encountered — we do not recommend this company or tourism in Egypt at all. It felt like every step of the way, someone was trying to rip us off.

The pick up was late , the preparation was very careless , we were the first group to leave and just went straight to the beach on a very very bumpy path , the guide was very impersonal , and then we waited on the beach for around 30 min for the other groups to get there , came straight back ! Absolutely rubbish, the staff disrespected me.
After I paid them in full they thought it was okay to tell us we are not going.
The quad bikes are not maintained, they are dirty and broken.
The one I rode had bent control arms from a previous accident and it could not maintain a straight line due to damage.
When I informed staff that the bike was on was bad, they disrespected me even further.
They had to get their boss involved, I had to swear people to get my trip.
I would not reccomend this business to anybody, especially as a tourist. Stay clear of these people.

I liked this trip because there were no extra hassle. We just ride the ATVs and stopped in nice places. The guide was great and look after if sombody had problems and also presented great places. The route was interesting because there were some uphills and downhills but unfortunately route had in many places deep traverse grooves which made riding hard.
I had given five stars if somebody had told that we go also to nice beach were we spent quite a while. Now I had not my swimming gear with me.

Great experience. The guide split us into 2 groups ( fast and slower) which was great for all. No hassle to buy photos or any equipment which was a nice relief. Great time going around the desert and visiting the sea. The guide was great and took some great photos of us.

Fantastic experience, no messing about and great to get no hassle at any point during the trip. As others have mentioned, just bring sunglasses and scarf.
We chose this one deliberately to avoid the Bedouin tea party, going by the coast is spectacular, highly recommended.

The program is very cool but not for beginners. It’s an extreme sport. The only issue was the fact that they didn’t say in the description that a scarf is mandatory and charged us 4,5€ for each scarf that easily can be found for 1€ in any store in Egypt.

Was good. Only took away 1 star because they had changed my pickup time to 15 min earlier and their message had not gone through. The route goes through really beautiful landscape, but the track is 90% hard and bouncy and the guide leads the whole group so fast, that the ride itself is the only thing you can focus on. Also the ATV had a lack of torque which make it bad operable in slower sections.
I would go on a desert safari again, but probably not with this company and not this route.
2 stars for the sceneries we enjoyed during the several stops, 1 star for a well organized hotel transport :)
