Excellent morning out of the city

Wonderful half day out to see the countryside of Hue. Access to a local bridge was blocked off due to building works, which actually made for a fascinating detour through some of the new residential estates outside the city. My partner is vegetarian, so Dang took us to an excellent local vegetarian restaurant. The ride is easygoing with plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. We were lucky enough to come across a herd of water buffalo taking a swim.

The guide was very friendly and helpfull, told us a lot, answered all our questions. Somewhere we asked for a stop as he was going a bit fast sometimes. We love to hear the story of the people and to see how they live and work, ricefields near the city, the proces of growing rice, many bad roads😌, beautifull views. The lunch was 3 courses however too 'local' for us, not our taste. We expected the lunch would be better and in a nice restaurant as we find the costs of the tour high for Vietnam. $118.

Our guide Hung spoke perfect english and was very knowledgable! Our kids of 8,14 and 16 years really liked the experience and learned a lot about hard life in Vietnam. A must do! ASK for Hung!
