Thank you for your feedback regarding the Cockscomb Basin Jungle Hike Tour. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. After receiving your review, I reached out directly to the licensed guide who conducted your tour to understand his perspective. The guide advised that members of your group attempted the hike wearing slippers and Crocs. For safety reasons, we strongly recommend proper hiking shoes for this tour, as the terrain can be steep, uneven, muddy, and slippery. Due to the footwear worn, the guide determined that it was not safe to continue to the summit. This decision was made strictly in the interest of guest safety. As explained during the tour, the guide adjusted the itinerary and instead led you on a moderate trail that was more appropriate for the conditions and footwear at the time. This adjustment was communicated to you during the tour. Safety is our number one priority, and our guides are trained to modify activities when conditions—whether weather, trail conditions, or guest preparedness—present a risk. Pricing for this tour reflects a guided experience with transportation, park coordination, bottled water, snacks and professional guiding services, which differs from taking a taxi independently. We regret that the experience did not align with your expectations, but the tour was delivered with guest safety as the primary concern. Should you wish to discuss your booking further, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can review your reservation in detail and respond accordingly under our policies.

    Macaw Watching

This was a cool experience! The jungle was beautiful even with the light rain. It just added to the experience with the sounds. Our guide, Julian, was very knowledgeable and such a great guy. He knew every bird sound and tree we asked about. We started off by spotting a couple of macaws! The whole hike was great and the waterfall was beautiful. Our driver, Travis, was great too and very helpful.

    Poor value for money

    Pekka_P, Oct 2023
We paid around $400 Belize - $340 Australian dollars . We are extremely upset at the cost for what we received - we got picked up at 1 - started the walk around 2 - did an easy track , not much available due to heavy rainfall earlier , the morning of and 2 days before . Walked around track 1 and 2 , very slippery as you’d expect therefore had to walk slow. Told we had to leave by 4-,despite seeing others people start their trek at 4. No time to see waterfall and no option to swim as river flowing too fast apparently. We are very dissatisfied and upset that we weren’t told that this would be all we’d get .and given an option to negotiate a lesser charge perhaps . We are requesting some sort of refund . This is the most outrageous price we have paid for a tour and was poor value for the money . The guide was nice enough but $400 for what we received is exorbitant and the process needs reviewing by the company I think as to review rates on the day if you can’t be provided tour as advertised. WE ARE REQUESTING A REFUND .

    Nice but no more

Nice hike but with little interest compared to the price. It is known that jaguars are very rare but have seen few birds and other species. Performance not up to what we expected. Can be planned without a guide.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the hike, though we’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations. Wildlife sightings can be unpredictable, and while our guides aim to enrich the experience with their knowledge, we understand your concerns about the value.
