I submitted my pickup location on 3/16 and got an acceptance notification. Was not told until 3/24 after the cancellation deadline that pick up was not possible. Viator would not cancel and refund but put it up to the tour company. No response. Confirm that your pickup spot is okay before the cancel deadline or make arrangements to go to the main meetup spot yourself.

Serious propaganda about the North Vietnamese and the communists. Very historical and interesting site visit otherwise.

This tour was the highlight of our vietnam trip. We had taken our 11yr old but easily could have taken our 6 yr old as they also would have enjoyed it. Fully (Toan) was our tour guide and i couldnt recommend him enough, his knowledge was great and he had a fun personality with good english. The tour itself was very informative and the history befind the tunnels was incredible, a the chance to use shooting range was a bonus. Absolute recommend this tour for this history.

Great tour, the guide was very knowledgeable, but did have a strong accent which non-native English speakers may struggle with (I was fine but others in the group had occasional issues understanding him). Do be aware that the jungle where the tunnels are is very hot and humid and you do need to be able to walk a moderate distance in this heat.

Our guide, Sonny, was fabulous. Knowledgeable, entertaining and he made the experience superb. Getting down into the small tunnel opening, only 2 ft across truly illustrated how small and confined the space was. Thus tour is a must see.

Foo was a fantastic tour host. Really knowledgeable and patient affording us plenty of time to look around. Trip was perfect.

interesting tour of the cu Chi tunnels with our guide Japan yes - that is his name!). Day started a bit later than expected due to passenger pickups..Tour bus was full and uncomfortable but Japan did a good job of keeping everyone amused and informed.
The tour itself felt a bit rushed, but enjoyable.

Our guide Lyn was very good. Just enough information about history without editorial comments. Ride
was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend the small group tour.

It was an amazing experience, our tour guide Vu was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It seemed better with a smaller group as the bigger groups appeared crowded! Would definitely recommend!

We had a great half day tour which was made all the better because of our Tour Guide "Tommy" who spoke excellent English and gave everyone an insight into the history of Vietnam and the American War. The tour of the tunnel complex was very thorough and extremely informative of how they were a major influence in the change of tide in the war.

The historical grounds are fascinating and it was very exciting to be able to crawl through the real tunnel. Our guide, Thanh, from A Travel Mate was so witty and knowledgeable. We were laughing all day. It was also very good to be in a small group.

What was good:
- Hotel pick-up and drop-off
- Drinking water was provided
- The tunnels were very impressive and it gave us a lot of insight into how the Vietnamese fought the war
- We were allowed to go into the tunnels with experienced guides leading the way so none will be lost inside the tunnels
- The shooting range We did not partake in this activity but the sound of gunfire while we were navigating the tunnels added a surreal sense of realism to the tour.
What was bad could be improved:
- We did not understand the tour guide's English very well...
- Poor driving plus bad road conditions which led to a very nauseous experience in the van as passengers for the journey to and back
- The shooting range This is subjective but for us it didn't feel right.
- The noise from the shooting range It was truly noisy when you're at the final stop to buy beverages as the shooting range was just beside it. We had to stop here for 10 minutes or more and the people who partake in the shooting range activity would shoot tens of rounds in a go which almost made some of us go deaf. They should've given ear protection or relocated the shooting range further away from the pit stop.

Really knowledgeable guide and great value for a half day tour. To be honest I dont know why you would need to do a full day. This tour was great.

The tour bus arrived on time at our hotel. Our Tour guide, Timmy, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was excellent and provided a deep insight into what happened during the war.. I would also recommend visiting the firing range.
Andrew W, Apr 2018
This tour was a huge disappointment. Our guide had very poor English and nobody on the tour could understand him. Therefore we missed out on the information regarding the tunnels, we tried to listen into other guides so we could piece together what we were looking at. Wish we had booked through another company as this was a bucket list tour that fall well short of delivery.

Interesting to finally see the tunnels after all these years. Our first stop which was not mentioned by Viator was a company making lacquerware decorative items, very expensive prices. I suspect it was for the benefit of the local tour company to make a little more on tourist purchases. Tour guide needed to improve personality, he sat next to me at end of tour and all he did was complain about how little he makes on the tours. Some of his insights on the tunnels and aspects of the war seemed more 'folkelorical' than factual. The tunnels were very crowded with tourists, but he did a great job of keeping our small group moving on.
David T, Apr 2018
It was a bit crowded at the site itself, but the guide and the tour were good value.

We had a great time. Our guide, Thuong, was excellent.
James R, Mar 2018
Extremely educational. That said, be prepared to receive a political point of view from the Vietnamese perspective
Peter P, Mar 2018
We had a great morning at the Cu Chi Tunnels, our guide Typhoon Honey was great and managed to mix humour with a very serious subject. Highly Recommended
Nathan M, Mar 2018
Our tour guide Henry with Travel Mate.Deluxe Group tours did a great job. He answers questions about the city from food spots and every day life in Saigon to things to do. He made sure that our group 3 along with the other 5 were on task but still got to enjoy the tunnels on a busy Saturday. Great college kid.
Oliver_C, Mar 2018
We had a really great time on this tour. Our guide, Leo, really knew his stuff and presented everything in a very friendly manner. If you get travel sick, the bus might be tough, but that will be true of any tour. Highly recommended!
MarshaKay_L, Feb 2018
An amazing piece of history showing just how resilient a people can be in the face of severe, prolonged adversity. It is more than getting into the tunnels. It is getting an understating of the impack of war and the desire to be free from occupation that impressed me the most. Definitely worth a visit.

Good tour. Guide was informative, but a bit hard to understand.
aniruddhc, Jan 2018
Well-spoken tour guide, gave us a detailed history about the Vietnam war on our journey, and made sure that we understood everything before the end of the tour.

Tour was well organized and tour guide was very knowledgeable. Good size too

Great must do activity. Cu Chi tunnels are amazing and one of the highlights of our Vietnam trip.
Regarding this particular tour: Our tour guide was Thang Merwin and driver was Nam Hero.
Voucher of confirmation said 8-8:30 start. Email said 08:30 at lobby. 08:40 and no one there. Hotel reception called and was told tour is 08:30-0900. There was no indication as to who we were with and there was nothing to indicate this was the trip we paid for.
Started very well and guide sounded very knowledgeable and funny. However having reached Cuchi it was rush rush rush. The same urgency could have been done at the market selling products made by handicapped. This could have reduced a bit of rush at the marvelous tunnels. He also constantly suggested 'ladies' in the tour are less able than men, including recommending and suggesting that the ladies could only do 60m of the runnel.
The tapioca taste was a 30 second talk to the tourists who were asked to sit inside the mini bus. Guide unfortunately suggested that he bought the tapioca from his pocket we had to share a tiny packet with a stranger and couldnt afford to buy more to provide one pack per person. While the tapioca was not the point, it put a negative impact on the tour given the rush and lack of focus of the guide at the tunnel. I decided not to tip the guide. After dropping us at the hotel, along with another family, he said aloud loud 3 times, 'thank you for the tip'. I believe it is much better for the company to have boards with suggested tip based on quality and effort. The included water came out too late and the wet towel never happened! Some improvement is required for this tour.

We found this a well run tour that showed some of what it was like to live at that time. We really liked the climb through tunnels, the disappearing spots, and the bomb craters to give you an idea of the damage and risk they experienced. Our guide gave us the right amount information.
Staci K, Dec 2017
The tour was very organized. We felt we had the full experience and our tour guide spoke great English! We greatly enjoyed seeing the tunnels and our transportation was comfortable
