Thank you Mia from Travelmate Ho Chi Minh branch for an amazing full day tour to Mekong Delta River. Boat ride was really a great experience. Fruits served was sweet and local seranade really entertained us. Lunch was also fantastic specially the fish wrap with rice paper. Hope to be back again soon. 👍👍👍.

We had a great day exploring the Mekong river with Candy, a very informative guide who gave us a great experience on our day trip from HCM/Saigon.

So I would skip this tour as traffic is bad and it takes forever to get out to the Delta. We were late so had to rush everything throughout the day and the boat ride was crazy. The workers constantly asking for money and then would just sit there in the water and now row. They were rude and not friendly. Then it took us forever to get back because of traffic. I'd spend my time in the city and skip this tour. Not worth it!

Although tiring, this was a very interesting tour made exceptional by our guide Hurricane Honey who kept the momentum up with his humour and constant positive vibes. The contents of the tour were very well thought out and we experienced more than we expected..from a sampan ride to boat rides, pretty decent lunch and fortunately, good weather. All went according to time and we returned to our hotel happy that we made the trip.

It was a nice trip. The guide "Fatty" was funny and kept the group happy. The islands were nice, especially the boat rides. Lunch was OK. I recommend

We enjoyed this tour which was a full day. I have done this tour previously in 2007, but it was a half day only. Our tour guide was Typhoon Honey, a very jovial male guide who used humour throughout the day and was informative. He was very good to us.
Overall it was good value for money. We drove from HCMC (1,5 hours) to a Buddhist Temple and then onto our boat to begin the tour. We had a comfortable van with air conditioning and was comfortable for the 8 of us onboard, but if all seats were occupied it would have been a bit cramped (which is normal). Our group made the day worthwhile and it was great to meet other similar minded people. Once we arrived at Unicorn Is (in the middle of the Mekong River) we learnt about candy making. We then ventured around the corner for the mandatory cultural activity ie: local singers & dancers who approach every group and perform (whether wanted or not) and then seeking a donation. We walked through the local village and at one point were advised that we'd have an island tour in two golf buggies. Off we went, but quite literally, the carts drove up one road for about 2 minutes, did a U-turn and went back to where we came from.......that was it !! Hilarious, but a complete waste of time obviously. There was a long boat trip within a mekong canal on the island....quite literally you could smell the mud. Not a bad experience, worth it, but not the highlight I was expecting. Lunch was good and there was too much food for us to get through.
As stated, overall it is worth doing and the cost justifies what you receive. Overall there could be a little bit more polish, but hey, you get to see a bit of the real Vietnam in the South and it was still memorable.

Mekong river in total is not interesting. You get bored. All attractions(honey bee and etc.) are lame and mostly ask you to buy stuff. I got bored soon.

Had a great tour and the guide was very knowledgeable about the area and he was friendly too. The trip on the boats was fun.

This was a nice, touristy way to see & experience the river & surrounding mangroves. Had 10 in our group which was a little tight in the van. It is a full 90 drive each way to & from the river. Our ride was quite rough, not sure if it was the road or the van. Not only do you cross the big river, you also take several other smaller boat rides. Several demonstrations along the way w/ most expecting a tip so make sure you bring a bunch of small bills. The included fruit & lunch were both good & filling. Can’t say that I would do it again but was glad we did it. Honey was our guide & he spoke good English & was a fun guide.

Dan and the team gave us a great introduction to the Mekong Delta region. The sights, the boat trips, the meals and Dan's sense of humour made for a fabulous day.

Our tour guide/manager was Vinh. He made sure we had hassle free pickups and the journey was most enjoyable.
He helped understand many things and explained local customs, things, and any questions we had he answered with great knowledge.
Also the places we went were wonderful and super fun. The lunch was the best part. Such a laviuos lunch and super yummy too. Boating was fun too.
A great tour and a must if you want to explore Mekong delta.

What a great way to experience the Mekong! Our tour guide (Steven) was funny, engaging and upbeat for the whole tour, showing us all kinds of stuff along the way. Highly recommend!

Our guide Jack was great and helpful with giving us information and guiding us. This was a wonderful day long getaway from the big city. Even though the water was pretty choppy that day getting to the smaller canals (no one can help the weather), the ride along the canal was peaceful and nice.

If you are from SEA countries, nothing much to see and experience. You’ll be taken around the different place by boat and walk through the island. We thought the amount we paid per person already included everything but it was really unpleasant towards the end of the trip when the tour guide Viet Long was forcefully asking us for “tips for the boat people”. And asking everyone to cough $4.00 each person for the boat. He said its up to you, but when we were not there, he specificaly asked a family member if we gave our tips for him yet. We thought that was outragerous! The fees for the boat should have bern included in our $65 USD fees payment each person for the trip itself.

Great day. Our tour guide Tony is super caring. I brought my 74 yr old mother whom he took care well esp when we hopped from one boat to another. Worth the money spent esp in a small grp.

Nice and relaxing tour in the Mekong delta. You get to sample tropical fruits, enjoy local music and dancing and cruise on the river in a narrow canoe...good fun!

This was an ok but very long tour and included lots of visits lots of selling opportunities too Starting with the Happy Happy shop which i would AVOID buying anything from as it was not what it said eg toothpaste toothbrushes supposed to be local but made in China stamped on them and a pushy sales technique. The boats were interesting but be aware you have to climb about so not suitable for the less able - i have a bad knee and found it a struggle and once you go on the first boat you have to carry on to the smaller ones - there is no way back! The Guide was very nice and all the other passengers helped me on and off but i would not do it again. The best bit was the Pagodas which were beautiful.

Very good tour. The tour guide Mr Long was speaking very good english and helped organised a very good day trip. The trip starts in the morning followed by 2.5 hour drive to Mekong delta. From there they take you around to various islands and expose you to various indigenous foods, drinks and songs. The safety aspect was also well taken care of. Crossing the Mekong Delta is a very good experience - feels like traversing an amazon jungle. If you like to experience nature, this tour is a sure shot go!

We did this tour on 31st May 2018 -
I had read the reviews for this tour and decided with Apprehension to book it before we arrived in Vietnam the cost was considerably less than suggested by our Travel Agent
Actually it was the only tour we booked ourselves, all our others were through Vidotours -- Vietnam, via House of Travel, Orewa NZ
The hotel pickup and drop off was easy and on time-
We picked up 2 other couples from different hotels on the way, they had both only booked the tour only the night before.
The tour was excellent with a great informative, funny, caring guide, James that made you feel relaxed.
I was travelling with my 86 yer old sprightly Mum - James made it easy for Mum, assisting her getting on and off the different boats
A great day with several Boat Rides, Entertainment and Lunch. A Fun Day had by All.
Highly Recommended.

Our guide was more focused on chatting up his driver than on providing us with information about the area we traveled through. His pronunciation of English wasn't all that good and his attempts at humor were weak and unappreciated. He herded us more than guided us, leaving us on our own at most of the sites. We wound up at several touristy places that provided an opportunity to buy local products that I wasn't even interested in perusing. Our guide went through the motions and seemed bored most of the time.

Great, varied tour with good food and a great tour guide. Great value for money!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. There were only four couples so it was small and personal. The tour guide Viet Long was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and quite funny. The driver was responsible and even though it was a long day with lots to see we had a great time.
mercer.skinner, Mar 2018
Lots to see on a full day on the Mekong. Lunch was great.
Anthony_M, Mar 2018
This tour represents excellent value to money. The guide was informative and funny the whole day through.
Added to the itinerary is a horse and cart ride that takes you from the boat to your lunch!!
It appears at the restaurant that you get an upgrades meal compared to some.
Highly recommend!!
