It went very well but expected an English speaking guide which didn't happen he was a nice guy but majority were French

      Medhat_M, Sep 2025
I expected an English speaking guide ; though he is a nice guy but I was not able to understand any of the narrative , majority were French and few Italians so I felt lost

      Great trip would recommend

Lovely trip informative and fun Knowledgeable staff lovely experience. Nice cafe break mint tea was great

Very let down and very disappointed.

      Gloria_P, Aug 2025
I’m giving it a one star even though the Tour guide worked hard translating in 3 different languages. Unfortunately we didn’t visit Byrsa Hill! Not going there is like not going to Carthage! I came back to Tunisia because because of Carthage. I came here in 2009 and didn’t particularly enjoyed it. We were suppose to go to Carthage and Byrsa Hill first but when the guide said first stop was Sidi Bou Said I knew it was going to be a let down. I didn’t care much about the place as it only had the Cafe des Delices as attraction it didn’t have as much history as Carthage! And the Medina it’s just like any Medinas. I feel very let down and angry that my time got wasted. It’s a lot of money and time spent. But that Tekkie Tours care I suppose. I would say another 4 letter word that begins with F and ends with K. But we are forced to be polite in writing reviews!!! The more bad reviews you get the less bookings you are going to get because people don’t want to be let down. They sell you something make you pay in advance and you are then at their disposal. If you want to be let down and waste your time then book with this company. If you don’t then find someone else. Viator don’t make it easy to contact them and air your disappointment to them. They got a slice of the cake too so they don’t care either.

Discriminatory, Inaccessible, and a Complete Disgrace

      Jerome_C, Feb 2025
This tour was an incredibly distressing experience due to discrimination, inaccessibility, and poor treatment by both fellow passengers and the tour guide. As a Black couple, we were met with racism from the moment we stepped on the bus. Passengers ignored us, clutched their bags as we walked past, and made offensive remarks in French, assuming we wouldn’t understand. One woman explicitly questioned why Black people were even allowed on these tours. Beyond this, my wife, who has a prosthetic leg, struggled to keep up with the group due to mobility issues. Despite my repeated requests, the guide and group left us behind at the first stop in Sidi Bou Said, giving us no information on the meeting time or place once the free roaming part of this tour was done. We spent nearly an hour searching for the group, only to be met with anger and blame from the guide. When I tried to explain my wife’s disability, , he dismissed it, stating he “didn’t care” and was “in a hurry.” Back on the bus, more racist comments were made by passengers, and the guide publicly humiliated me, storming down the aisle to reprimand me aggressively. I was forced to stand up for myself, yet he refused to listen or de-escalate, causing another British passenger to step in. The experience was so degrading that we chose to leave the tour early and arrange our own transport back. This was the worst travel experience we have ever had. No one should have to endure racism, public humiliation, and disregard for disability needs on a paid-for tour. I am requesting a full refund and compensation for the emotional distress and additional transport costs.

      Excellent tour guide. ...

Excellent tour guide. Nice lunch. Confortable bus. Great overall experience that I can highly recomendo.

      Pleasant day

      Alison_L, Apr 2024
The bus was clean and the transfers were good. We booked because we especially wanted to see Carthage. We were supposed to stop here for two hours but only got 20 mins at the baths and didn’t see any of the rest of Carthage. Could have done without the perfume shop too! Pleasant stop at Sidi Bou Said for 1.5 hours, good lunch in the Medina. Only 35 mins free time as spent 25 mins in the Perfume shop. Over all a good day.

Trip to Carthage, Sidi Bousaid and La Medina.

      Simon_M, Jan 2024
Sidi Bousaid was a lovely location. I expected there to be more to see at Carthage but it was still a nice day out.

Not getting what you have booked.

      Karen_O, Oct 2023
English buyers take note - do not use this company - we booked Carthage, Sidi Bousaid, and La Médina trip with this Viator and selected an English speaking guide, we where put on a trip with a French speaking guide, we advised the guide that we did not understand French and he said it was not his problem so we ended up not knowing what was happening at all stops or any information throughout the trip. We contacted Viator to say we had not been supplied with what we had booked / paid for, The response from Viator was it is the local company at fault not them, I reminded Viator that we did not book with a local company but had booked with them - so Viator are happy to take your money and when they do not supply what you have bought their attuite it is nothing to do with them - so use them at your own risk.

      Not bad

      Aneeta_B, Sep 2023
I was some how put with a french tour group. The french guide did his best to explain as we went around but I feel I may have missed allot. Overall it was ok but I wish I learned more about Tunisia.

      Forgotten About & Let Down…

      Matthew_O, Sep 2023
The tour was not in English. The tour guide was very polite to me, but obviously stressed and translated to all. Apart from me. I deliberately booked a tour in English & a full day of my holiday to learn/experience & for fill. I was just given a time & place at each stop and was always the last one at the end of a coach full. Sometimes just alone, unable to communicate or experience what others had, even laughed at. Sad times.

      What to say......

      Aurelien_P, Jun 2025
What can I say... The visit of the medina lasts 2 hours but between the moment to get off the bus, the explanations of the guide and the visit of the palace then the distillery there was only 1 hour to walk. Let's go to carthage: visit 2h: in reality we got off the bus only 30 minutes to visit the Antonin terms at the pace of races.. An explanation of the guide, a photo and hop already gone. The rest of the cartgage was done by bus. Finally, sidi boussaid: Planned visit to the site 2h: We stayed there 1h15.. Time to go up the street, make 2 or 3 pictures, a purchase and everyone on the bus.. That day we came across a guide who was more concerned about his watch than his customers If you can do these tours by yourself

      Une belle expérience mais longue

      barbara_e, May 2025

Hierdoor weinig meegekregen. Historische architectuur word niet netjes bijgehouden of beschermd. Lunch was massa productie.
