Great experience, horses well taken care of. The views are amazing and the staff are lovely and take care of you, they also take pictures of you while you ride as sometimes it’s hard to do that and control your horse!

We booked the sunset horseback ride for a group of 4 adults. We were picked up from our hotel at around 4:30 pm and joined a group of maybe 15 other tourists at the Ottoman ranch which was only a 10 minute drive outside of Goreme town. The horses we had were quite well behaved. The horses just walk the trail( no galloping or trotting) because in some parts of the trail, the horse has to walk a very narrow path on the cliff, sometimes going downhill or climbing up, with a sheer drop on your left side. So you have to concentrate on your ride, no taking photos on your phone! It is best to follow the advice of the guides to keep your attention. It was nice to be able to ride through the valley instead of hiking the trail. You stop for about 20 mins at the church so you can go up to the church if you wish. It finishes at about 7pm. They take a picture of you as you start the ride and the picture is available for purchase at the end of the tour. Overall a worthwhile experience.

I was more impressed than I expected! The staff were all very good people and took pictures of us. I'd hardly ridden a horse before, but I think it's no problem for a first-timer because most of the horses walk themselves. I have very good memories of Cappadocia.
