Exceeded all expectations. Blessed with a perfect GC winter's, the sun was shining, the ocean was clear and calm and the humpbacks were out 🐋 to impress. Did this trip with my sister who traveled from Townsville and it was a superb day on the water. A perfect size boat restricted to just 40 passengers and designed so that everyone gets a great view. The crew slowed down to make the most of pods swimming closer to coastline then continued further out once that pod had passed.
They let the whales dictate the plan and positioned the boat to give them right of way but give us amazing up close encounters. Informative commentary with a crew who are clearly passionate about these magnificent creatures, we watched and learned.
Highly recommend Kokomo Cruises for whale watching. Avoid the oversized and overcrowded big boats, choose Kokomo for a more intimate whale watching experience.
I will definitely do this again.

Had a great day with friendly staff. Saw a few whales and a couple of babies playing with mum. Only wish was a few more whales to see but it is the luck of the draw if they want to come up for us and visit

The skipper didn’t get close enough to the whales I have seen other vessels right at the whales we seen some whales not a lot they were not breaching at all I think it’s because it was late afternoon and they were tired from doing this all day I recomend you do the early tours in the day but other than that I really enjoyed my trip

We’re glad you had an awesome experience onboard with us! Unfortunate that the whales didn’t come close or breach for you, as they are wild animals on migration we cannot control or predict their behaviour. But we are always on the lookout for the most active whales for our guests to experience.
Regarding whales coming close, we do have distance limits we must follow, and it is up to the whales to come to us from that point (not us to drive extremely close to the whales).

Absolutely fantastic! Saw lots of whales up close and knowledgeable skipper. Boat was amazing. Quick to get out to ocean and terrific viewing around the whole boat. Not too many people aboard so didn’t feel overcrowded. Highly recommend

I can’t recommend this tour enough - it was amazing from start to finish! The boat is super comfortable and fast so gets you out to the whales really quickly. The team is friendly and extremely knowledgeable giving lots of awesome facts about the whales. We saw so many humpbacks it was breathtaking to see them in their natural habit - and you could see them from anywhere on the boat! 10/10 will be coming back every year!

Great experience.. boat relatively calm but we did take motion sickness medication beforehand just in case. Saw a mum and bub with an escort and 2 larger whales playing further out to sea. Very informative commentary, great boat, not too many people, and quickly able to get to where anyone spots a spout. Bring a warm jacket as it gets a bit cold out there. Great tour

Saw whales plenty of times but the pod of 4 or 5 breaching 10-20 metres from our boat near the end of trip was sheer awesomeness!

We had the most amazing experience better than i ever imagined it could be whales meters from the boat actually interacting with us. Obviously this won't be everyone's experience but I can say you will get guides that are informative, and attentive to the people on the boat. And a comfortable fun experience.
Both my Daughter and I ended up with sea sickness (we took stuff) and they were there offering water or sick bags. Again thank you a million times over.

On time with positive outlook crew/captain.
Weather good but still chose the travel pill offered.
Excellent sightings and low number in boat compared to other ‘ships’. Fresh air all the time and no hurry or desperation by staff.
I would go again!

Whale watching with them has been the best experience ever. The crew Nic and Fran were very friendly. They explained about the life of whales and their activities as we were cruising in the ocean. We had lots of fun. I highly recommend Kokomo Cruise for everyone.

We did not expect to see baby whale with mother and were lucky to have two pods of dolphins appear. A really chilled relaxing day with informative and friendly staff. Small boat meant less people so everyone was able to experience the sights. Highly recommend

We were super lucky to see 2 fully grown females with. Baby. The icing on the top was when one of the whales took a jump like you see above in the picture

Kokomo Cruises were well organized and we had a great comfortable boat. It was amazing to see these incredible creatures up close and personal, and the guide was very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting facts. We were spoilt with a 1,5 hour show of breaching and play, by a young whale calf and mother. Very special experience !I would definitely recommend Kokomo Cruises for this experience, they were great !
