Sumire was a great guide. As requested, she met us at the cruise port and we took a taxi into town. We saw a beautiful Japanese garden and shrine. We also walked to several temples. Taking public transportation to get around was great. I would highly recommend this tour and especially Sumire as a guide.

Our tour guide, Yu Noda was articulate, funny, engaging and knowledgeable. He was flexible and did his best to accommodate us. We had fun with him and want to hire him for future tours around Japan, if we could.

This is the perfect and only way to explore Fukuoka. Yu Noda is the best guide with amazing, in-depth knowledge of the city’s culture and historic sites. Kids loved his engaging storytelling. I highly recommend that everyone visiting Fukuoka take this tour to appreciate what the city has to offer truly.

Best tour ever! Yu was so knowledgeable and shared so many fun facts not just about Fukuoka but about Japan in general! The pace was just right and best of all he took such great photos us too which was a great bonus. it felt like we were being toured by a really good friend. 💖

What a great introduction to Fukuoka!
I booked Yu for an overview on my first full day of a 6 night visit. We covered more ground and saw more sites than I would have covered in several days on my own. Yu also shared personal experiences and family stories that resonated and connected people across time and space.
I can't recommend Yu highly enough. Just book it. Best decision I made to start my visit to this lovely and interesting city.

Our tour guide Andy took us to several Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples across Fukuoka and told us about his experiences living for multiple years in the city. He was very friendly and we learned a lot about daily life in Japan. Thanks Andy!

Mai met us outside our hotel and couldn’t have been any nicer. She was very knowledgeable and we had a great time experiencing Fukuoka and navigating the train system. Was most enjoyable tour with amazing young man. Better then the tour guy we had from our group ,so informative nothing was a problem for him ,he explained a lot about the culture and about the Japanese way of life now and before , would high recommend this tour ,

Yu was awesome! The tour was booked at very short notice. He was very flexible, very pleasant and very knowledgeable. Even offered to plan future visits in other Japanese cities whenever we come back. We had an awesome time learning about the Japanese culture and exploring Fukuoka.

The tour was quite nice and informative. The Japanese garden in Ohori Park is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Tochoji temple has the impressive largest seated wooden Buddha in Japan. Visiting inside the temple was quite memorable. My tour guide, Yu, was very down to earth and knowledgeable about the locations we visited. His English was pretty good. He also gave me many recommendations for restaurants in the neighborhood and also in the places that I potentially will visit. Overall, I recommend the tour to anyone who is new to Fukuoka city.
