I had an excellent time cooking with the Fujiwara’s. I was greeted at the corner of the meeting point by Hiroyuki so the location was easy to find. I was the only person in today’s cooking class, and they made me feel very welcome. I have a bit of knowledge cooking Japanese food already, but it was fun to learn what Japanese people eat at home. I also enjoyed hearing about their lives, and what they love about Fukuoka. Thank you for an unforgettable memory!

1. Meeting point
Go to the north gate of the high school of the given address. The north gate is located on the side of Fukuokafutabagakuen Zentenkogata Field
福岡雙葉学園 全天候型グラウンド. The host was waiting for us already 10 minutes in advance.
2. Preparation
None required. Eagerness to learn and connect with friendly local people
3. Contents
We made pork ginger, spinach side dish, onigiri, tamagoyaki, miso soup. All in accordance with announced menu. The host taught us very simple and easy to follow recipes and willingly took pictures of each ingredients that we requested.
Overall very warm and delightful experience. The hosts are very kind and gentle, communication was genuine.

This experience was more than we expected. The hosts are what made this special. They are both warm and provided us with a very relaxing time in their home. The food we shared in preparing, was delicious. They included seasonal specialties that added a special touch to the overall experience. We truly enjoyed the food and interesting conversations with both Hiroki and Tamae, our hosts.
