We had a great time at Paradise Cove. Found the bus off the port easily upon disembarkation. Mr. Parker, who drove the bus, was friendly and knowledgeable. Upon arrival at Paradise Cove, you check in, get your gear, and attend a brief safety meeting where they go over the do's and do not's of snorkeling in the different zones. We swam all the way out to the rocks and beyond, which is a workout. The snorkeling is very good in all of the zones. We saw all kinds of fish, sea turtles, and even a shark in the deeper water. There were some small jellies in the water which they warned us about but none of us got stung. After snorkeling, we hung out on the beach for a while. Drinks are very reasonably priced ($2 sodas, $5 beers). We would definitely go back! Only caveat to this excursion is there is no lifeguard, so it's swim at your own risk, and like I said it is a workout so someone in bad physical condition could have some problems, but anyone in basic good heath/weight/cardio would do fine.

Not as advertised

Diana_B, Apr 2026
We arrived after 1 pm and had to sign in and attend a mandatory briefing that we found to be a waste of our time as we are experienced snorkelers. This all could have been taken care of on the bus instead of wasting our time which was limited. It is not a 4 hour tour. We were back on the bus by 3 pm. Don't pay the extra money for food, paddle board and kayak as it isn't worth it. The food is reasonably priced so that was a plus. Lounge chairs were included but we could not find anyone to help us and the beach was super tiny and not sure there was anymore room for chairs. It was very rocky to get out to the artificial reef which was limited with things to see. I wish we hadn't wasted our money on this trip.

Great place to spend a day!

Great little spot.

Darren_H, Mar 2026
Great spot smaller than I expected but super friendly and great snorkeling with the caveat that you have to swim in very very shallow water to get to the best spot which is being the rocks where its deeper water. Also watch the tide as if the roses going out you need to be a good swimmer even with fins as its a tough swim all the way round against the tide. But overall I would highly recommend it if you like to swim or snorkel

Excellent spot of Paradise.

Apollo_L, Mar 2026
Great spot for snorkeling and Kayaking. Plenty of fish, sea turtles, coral, and Manta rays to be seen. I recommend the day pass which includes beach chairs, equipment rentals and lunch.

It is best to be in good health and stamina, the water will wear you out. Make sure what you have selected - to go with or without a guide. Also, no lifeguard is there. It is swim at own risk

Highlight of the trip

Kerry_H, Jan 2026
This was a highlight of our cruise trip to the Bahamas. We had never been there before and knew we should book something as Freeport is very limited and mostly industrial. We saw this and booked last minute. It was January and the weather was 75 and perfect. The tour bus driver had a sign at the terminal and all was clear about where to sit etc. We drove through some of Grand Bahama Island- this is a place affected by several hurricanes. The island is still recovering. At Paradise cove we were given our snorkel gear and chairs and a quick overview. Once we got in the water we were in another world and so transfixed by the beautiful fish especially around the man made reef. Definitely go to that spot and just enjoy. We did not venture too far out but others in the group did. There was also the chance to rent a canoe but we did not do that. We did not have the lunch package so can’t speak to that. A very beautiful 4 hours that will remain in our hearts forever.

Smaller beach , not crowded. We relaxed on the beach, did a bit of snorkeling and saw several sea turtles and other things. Food was decent.

Sad

Patricia_H, Jan 2026
Very sad excursion. Very disorganized. 30 minutes late on departure. Very sad looking Paradise! Will not recommend. Paid for a family of 5.

great day trip

mark_P, Jan 2026
great place to snorkel did this on our own off cruise ship . Well worth it . Would do it again when traveling to Bahamas.

Cold weather!

Debbie_L, Jan 2026
At the beginning it was a little unorganized… not enough bus space for all the guests. Had to wait for another taxi to arrive. Took away from the time we should’ve been at the location.

Artificial Reef was cool!

Allison_F, Dec 2025
Pick up was so easy! We were met right at the cruise ship and were headed to Paradise Cove within minutes. Drop off was equally as seamless. Our driver worked with us to be sure we were comfortable with the time of our drop off. All staff was friendly and helpful. They had great snorkel equipment that was ready to sign out. The artificial reef was our favorite! We saw a sea turtle, puffer fish, and so many others! Location was a little smaller than we expected, but it made it easy to keep our eyes on the kids. Food was simple burgers and dogs. It did take awhile to get our food as they cook to order. There was a lot of organized chaos during check in, but we were able to figure out the details and had a great time overall! Highly recommend!

Incredible Day - especially for snorkeling

Best Caribbean Experience EVER!

Michelle_P, Nov 2025
This was the highlight of the trip!! Probably my favorite excursion we’ve ever done in the Caribbean. If you ever find yourself down here, I promise you won’t be disappointed in Paradise Cove. My husband and I plus our two teen sons went on a guided spear fishing tour with Barry and his son Jayden. To say I was a little apprehensive about the whole experience, was an understatement. I didn’t think I would be able to pull the spear back, or hold my breath long enough, or equalize my pressure. Barry was so patient and explained everything perfectly. Once out there, he worked tirelessly to put us on fish/lobsters. I’m pretty sure we swallowed more than our fair share of saltwater and I have never gotten so many cramps while swimming, but we were successful. We speared 7 lobsters and Barry got a lion fish for us! He even taught us how to clean the lobsters and how to safely fillet the very poisonous lionfish and then his staff cooked them up for us right there beach side. 10/10 would recommend!! The whole place is family owned and everyone was so friendly, right down to the hand crafted souvenirs that his very own mother makes.

Mr Parker was amazing we enjoyed the experience and have been here before and we will continue to book with paradise cove ! Thank you

Great snorkeling!

Charlotte_P, Oct 2025
Picked up from cruise port, even though our ship arrived later than expected. About 30 min drive to Paradise Cove, a beautiful area for snorkeling, easy to walk into water and get started viewing the many varieties of fish and corals, even sea turtles! Barry gave safety instructions and directions before allowing people to go out on their own (or guided snorkeling available with other ticket options). Snacks, drinks, lunch available for purchase — even fresh lobster brought in by a snorkel guide that day. Time for relaxing after snorkel.

Wonderful

Aletta_M, Jul 2025
Very well organized and comfortable. Food and shopping was great and it was nice and quiet and relaxing. Not overcrowded like some other tourist places

A Must while I Freeport.

anna_b, Jun 2025
Absolutely AMAZING. Mr Parker he driver and Cathy/Kathy (behind the register) were just great. Food was really good and reasonably priced. The snorkeling was perfect for all ages. The owner was there and noticed i was looking at my Snorkel (which had residual lipstick) and he took it right away and got a clean one and addressed it without me sating anything. The drinks are string and food was so yummy.

Snorkelers will love this.

Erin_O, May 2025
Beautiful coral and fish. Friendly, organized staff. Best food prices on the island. They have many activities.

Perfect day in Paradise Cove

Kristi_S, Apr 2025
Pickup was a little slow due to two ships needing transportation but once we got there it was amazing! Snorkeled with the sea turtles and saw so many fish. It was laid back and relaxing and the hot dog and fries hit the spot. Would definitely go back!

Amazing experience! Recommended

Aswath_K, Apr 2025
Fantastic experience! Right from the on time pick up, smooth drive with Mr. Parker being a very good guide. The snorkeling experience was amazing.. we saw turtles, sailfish and several reef fish. Would highly recommend to everyone visiting Freeport.

Great family outing

diana_E, Apr 2025
This was fun , it was not crowned and we were worn out from snorkeling when we were done . We swam with a sea turtle and were able to see many many fish in the bells they had in water , water was crystal blue . Some saw larger fish etc but they swam out further ( I’m not a great swimmer) great for all ages and swimming abilities

First snorkeling...

SARA_Y, Mar 2025
First snorkeling experience and it was fantastic!! Hooked for life now! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Not crowded at all!

Fun relaxing activity

Edward_V, Mar 2025
Snorkeling was excellent, kayaking was rough, though no fault of the facility. Good equipment, nice beach.

I would definitely do this again.

Harry_M, Mar 2025
Pickup from the cruise was very simple and efficient. The ride from the port to the location was under 10-15 min. The ride back was timely. On arrival, a warm welcome by the owner - Barry. Easy check-in and briefings about where to snorkle. There is a kids section - my kids hanged out there while I was far out in the sea.l

Great day snorkeling at a beautiful spot

Meredith_S, Feb 2025
Great fun day at beautiful Paradise Cove! It is a family run business and they are very nice and welcoming. I could do kayaking, snorkeling, and lunch, but I actually just spent the day snorkeling, with lunch, and lounging on the beach in between. I saw many sea turtles, a sting ray, and lots of fish. The water was really clear and it’s very shallow.

Upon arrival the manager...

Crystal_B, Feb 2025
Upon arrival the manager informed us that all activities would be canceled for the day due to wind conditions. I just wish they would’ve mentioned this before we had gotten on the ride to go to the resort so we could’ve picked something else for the day. $230 was just a lot of money to spend to lay around at the beach all day.

Feb Family Cruise, Freeport

Anthony_W, Feb 2025
We did the Paradise Cove Day Pass on 8 Feb 2025. There were 5 adults and 1 five year old in our party. We had an amazing time. Mr. Parker picked us up from the port, and drove us to the destination. He was very courteous, and provide info during the drive. His mic wasn't working, so the folks in the back probably couldn't hear him. We were picked up near the Pineridge Locomotive Axle. The folks, in the port were very familiar with the Viator excursion, and told us exactly where to wait. When we arrived, we were given a safety briefing, and then issued tickets to redeem for the various items of the excursion, e.g. food, drinks, snorkeling gear, etc... The tide was very low when we arrived, but that did not detract from the tour. In fact, we were able to walk to the reef balls, which was great for our 5 year old. We snorkeled, kayaked, enjoyed the beach, ate, drank, and shopped. We saw plenty of small fish, several rays including a big one, and a bunch of sea turtles. The food was nothing spectacular, but it wasn't horrible. We had worked up quite an appetite, so we ate! We've never thought much about Freeport, but this was a very fun excursion, and if we are ever back at Freeport, it will be at the top of our list!
