Fun tour and tasting! We learned about the history of Irish whiskey, tasted four whiskies then got to blend the whiskies together in a small bottle to take home. Andrew was a great guide - very knowledge and funny! Would recommend if you have a free evening in Dublin!

The Whiskey Museum was very educational and we enjoyed our time spent there. Lydia the tour guide was phenomenal! She’s a gifted storyteller and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend it for those who want to better understand the history of Irish Whiskey. We enjoyed making our blended whiskey sample.

The hubs and I are whiskey lovers from Colorado, so we spent some time looking into whiskey related activities in Dublin for our anniversary visit. This tour and blending experience was the highlight of our trip. Located close to Temple Bar and Trinity college it was perfect for the long day of walking around sightseeing we had planned. Linda was our tour guide and blending instructor and she was hilarious and informative giving us insights into the history of Irish whiskey, a Gaelic lesson and endless laughs even before all the drinking. We felt at ease and never once had to guess what was next. She was engaging of all the participants, drawing even the quietest into the conversation. And her dinner recommendations were spot on. She is true gem in this treasure chest of an experience.

Whiskey Museum was a great find

    Harold_R, Oct 2025
The blending experience was an educational one. The Museum is independent of any distillery and was able to provide a variety of whiskeys for different regions of the country. We had toured Jameson earlier in the day, so some information was repeated but having different distilleries represented and a wide variety of flavor profiles made it a great experience. The museum staff, we had Colm, were very easy to work with and we left with 2 of out very on blends. I recommend doing this tour with the cocktail tour back-to-back - see Cocktail class review for additional information.

Husband absolutely loved it. I am not whiskey drinker but still had fun going through the history and process. I affirmed in the tasting I do not like whiskey but my husband had a great time.

Good learning but weak Blending Experience

    Renan_L, Feb 2025
The experience and tasting were enjoyable. The team indeed had extensive knowledge and shared many intriguing curiosities. However, the "Whiskey Blending Experience" was somewhat lacking. We only had one portion to taste, and we used that same portion to blend. Essentially, you end up with the options you liked the least, thus mixing your "leftovers" from the tasting. It would have made more sense if we could have tried what we wanted, and then they could have mixed it for us in the proportions we chose in the miniature bottle.

    Best Experience

Lydia is a wonderful guide, we had so much fun! She made the experience so fun and informative!!!Would recommend this to anyone coming to Dublin.

Lydia was a terrific guide-the Whiskey museum experience was entertaining, well put together, and very educational. It was fund to blend whiskey and take the bottle home. Great to taste premium whiskies from different distillaries

Definitely plan on this on your trip to Dublin!

We enjoyed the host personality, and explaining the way whiskey is made. He made the whole experience great.

This was a great whiskey experience. It was very interesting to hear all about the history. Our guide was great, very entertaining and fun. The blending was an good option too!

Great to hear you enjoyed your experience with us at the Irish Whiskey Museum! Thanks for the review!

    Enjoyable but ‘Touristy’

    Whitney_B, Jul 2024
This was entertaining and we did learn about whiskey history, but I’m not sure that I would do it again. It was very touristy and the bottle at the end was only a few ounces. We enjoyed it but it was not exactly what I expected.

    Wonderful Whiskey

Family Adventure at the Whiskey Museum

    czarzynski, Apr 2024
Our family of 6 did the Whiskey blending experience. It was very informational and a lot of fun! We learned a lot about different types of whiskeys and the history behind them.

    Definitely one to do

    Dawn_M, Apr 2024
The guide was really good and took the time to ask everyone where they were from and remembered names and related back to relevant conversations. It was an educational and enjoyable experience. The whiskey blending wasn’t something we had ever done before but sharing with the others on the tours was really pleasant and we all had some laughs and enjoyed each other’s company. Highly recommended.

    Funny & Informative Whiskey Tour

    Chloe_B, Mar 2024
Colm was an excellent tour guide, and a great storyteller. He was also very informative about the history of Ireland and whiskey. We enjoyed traveling through the three different rooms that we were brought to throughout the tour and the story that he told in each one of them.

Go, even if you hate whiskey!

    Richard_Y, Nov 2023
My mother and I had a lovely time learning about the history of distilleries in Ireland together! Even if you’re not a whiskey drinker, I still recommend it. It’s full of digestible history, you sample 4 different kinds of whiskeys, and you get the opportunity to make your own at the end of the the tour. It’s 75 minutes long.

    Hilarious

    Roberto_B, Oct 2023
Hilariously informative. Great way to spend 90 minutes and enjoy a some whiskey sampling. You just have to go with the flow

A great time was had by all!

    Nikki_B, Sep 2023
Fun, funny, and even educational. I’m sure they would be proud to know we thought it was better than the Scottish Whiskey Experience in Edinburgh. :-)

    Wonderful experience!

    Andy_Z, Aug 2023
Our tour guide Donal was amazing! It was such a fun and wonderful experience learning about whiskey as well as learning some interesting stories revolving around it.

A fun and entertaining activity to do in Dublin

    Mike_A, Jul 2023
My husband was kind enough to come to Ireland so I booked this for us to enjoy. It is a very fun and entertaining activity. So worth the price. We did the blending tour. He really enjoyed it and I did as well. Go early before your tour and get a drink at their bar. The drinks are very good.
