The Meeting Point for your The Whiskey Trail is: Flavour Trails, Unit 2b is on the lower ground floor of Powerscourt Towncenter. Come up the Georgian Steps on South William St, pass through the flower shop, walk by the oak staircase and down the next set of step and we are to your left.

Meet your guide and small group of up to 15 people in central Dublin in time your departure (times depend on tour itinerary selected).
Set out to the first stop of the tour, Darky Kelly's, a traditional Irish venue, where you learn more about the history of Irish whiskey and get your first taste of the classic tipple. During your tour, visit up to several more venues and sample different whiskey varieties, as your guide explains what makes each one unique.

SO MUCH FUN! Grainne is so enthusiastic, great story-teller and a wealth of knowledge. It was amazing to learn so much in so many fun and interesting pubs! Choose this tour early in your stay and you will have so many wonderful choices after. So worth it!

Flavor Trails’ Dublin Whiskey Trail was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. Our guide Grainne had an incredible depth of knowledge not just facts and dates, but genuine stories and passion that made every stop feel personal. We hit a perfect mix of legendary distilleries and hidden gems, tasting everything from smooth, approachable blends to bold single pot still whiskeys we’d never have discovered on our own.
The pacing was spot on: enough time to really savor each pour and chat with the guide, but never rushed or overwhelming. They also wove in great context about Dublin’s history along the way, so it felt like excuse to explore Dublin with good company and better drinks this trail is an absolute must. Can’t wait to book again on our next visit.

We booked this for when we landed and we could not have asked for a better introduction to the Dublin. The tour guide was extremely friendly and very easily broke the ice. I'm not an experienced drinker, but she was able to help me through trying lots of different whiskeys while still answer questions from my partner who is. I'd recommend this experience for anyone coming to Dublin, even if they don't often drink.

If you can laugh and learn in the same afternoon, that's quite a day. Grainne was our guide, and she was exceptional. Very kind, hospitable, funny, and knowledgeable. My husband and I joined this tour after landing in Dublin and it was such a lovely way to get our trip started! Adam was our tour guide, and he was absolutely spectacular — very knowledgeable and personable. He also did a wonderful job setting the tone for the tour experience. We toured on a Saturday, with made for quite a busy pub experience. However, each stop was very prepared for us and had a section reserved for our tastings. We’ve done quite a few food/drink tours during our travels, and this one easily surpassed our other experiences. We quickly became friends with our fellow tour mates and will not soon forget our experience on this tour.

Our experience was ‘top shelf’ from beginning to end!! Our guide was so engaging and knowledgable. She literally made the tour a highlight of our trip!! We learned about Irish whiskeys and background stories on several distilleries. The accompanying food was great too! We highly recommend. Great tour with a uber-knowledgeable guide Irish and whisky history. You don’t need to be a connoisseur nor particularly enjoy whisky to have a great time. It takes one to quirky and special local pubs, away from the tourists.

One of the best whiskey and food tours. I learned so much about the different types of whiskeys, along with so many fascinating facts about the history of Ireland and how whiskey is in the middle of it all. The delicious small bites along the way topped it off! The guide was the AMAZING, truly!

Highly recommend this tour to learn about whiskey and Dublin! Gráinne was a great guide that spent time with our group going through the history of whiskey and how different types of whiskey taste. Great snacks along the way at each of the pubs. Takes a little bit of effort to find the starting spot, so give yourself an extra few minutes to explore the building before the tour. I have done many food & drink tours around the world and this one is one the best I have been on.

Grainne (our tour guide) not only taught us about the history of whiskey, but she also shared with us a ton of tips about where to go and what to do while in Dublin, as well as how to continue our own exploration of whiskey beyond the tour. I enjoyed the variety that this particular tour offered, stopping at multiple local pubs for our tastings, so that we got to not only taste the whiskey but some appetizers at each establishment as well. As a solo traveler, I loved the small size of our tour group, as we all had plenty of time to ask Grainne questions as well as chat with one another about where we were from and what had brought us to Dublin. This, as well as the Irish Food Trail Walking Tour of Dublin (with Sean), was my favorite tour I did while visiting Ireland.

Our tour guide, Gráinne, was cracking!! None of us were whiskey drinkers and three of four didn’t grimace at the tastings. She is knowledgeable and made whiskey so approachable while educating us on the history of whiskey and the Irish culture. If you go on this tour make sure to ask her where she got her glasses and you’ll become a crack dealer yourself. In short, we had fun, loved our experience and would highly recommend this tour while in Dublin.

Very enjoyable tour to learn about whiskey and have food in three excellent pubs. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and there are six different whiskeys to try. Be sure to get there early to check out beautiful historic home and local stores in the center.
