So much sand! This was such a fun day! The camel ride, dune bashing and sand boarding and we are not young people! Our tour guide was laughing along with us the whole time! To finish, a buffet dinner with a sunset overlooking the sea, perfect.

Yousif was an amazing guide and driver taking us on an exciting drive up and down the sand dunes. The dinner in the desert was great as well as having access to a room to shower and change after a swim in the Gulf

The desert experience far exceeded our expectations. We loved riding over the dunes, sand boarding and riding the camels. For 5 adults all over 60 we have not laughed and smiled like we did with our amazing guide and driver Abid. We learned a lot about Doha and the culture of Qatar and as we shared our culture with him, I believe we all learned from each other. Hopefully we will return someday. This is a must do activity and if we had the time we would have done the over night camp to see the sunrise too.

It was too hot to dune board and we were not told ahead of time. We had to pay extra for a 5 minute camel ride which we thought was included in the price of the trip. Perhaps the most disappointing was that we were not told there would be swimming in the Persian Gulf. When I asked if we needed to bring anything the answer was no. So we sat in the extreme heat and watched others enjoy the ocean. VERY disappointing.

Dune ride

We have lived here for over eight years and did this on our own, but having a driver and doing the dunes without the worry of getting stuck was great. It just showed us that no matter how long you live in an area, you look at an experience differently when doing a tour. The camel ride was a memorable experience that I’ll always remember. We will be doing more tours just for a different experience.
