So much history! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and history, we learnt so much. Lunch was delicious and our driver was there to pick us up as soon as we finished each section of the tour. Highly recommend doing this!

The tour was well organized and our tour guide was very nice and informative. We had about the right amount of time at each place and the van was comfortable and well air conditioned. The tour hits the highlights which is what we wanted. We were disappointed with the view at Hai Van Pass - the air at the end of March is not very clear - it obviously wasn't the fault of the tour guide - but everyone had been telling us we needed to go to the pass because it was so beautiful but you really couldn't see much from the pass. The gate at the pass was interesting however and the pass is on the way so not a big deal to stop for 10 minutes - i just wanted to warn folks that going just to see the pass would be unfortunate. The other stops were great and lunch was very good. The other thing i wish i had known ahead of time is that it can get very hot so best to bring a fan or cold towel.

Great tour but a lot of steps to some of the places we visited. Enjoyed the Palace. Our guide was friendly and very informative. Especially enjoyed a delicious and generous lunch.

Tour to Hue turned out to be a private tour with guide Emily and driver Lao.
Emily was fantastic, very energetic, funny, knowledgeable, and good paparazzi;)
Lunch was delicious!
Tour was very interesting.
Emily gave us a lot of interestings facts about dynasty Nguyen and some other info about country in present times.
It was a long day bit we didnt really feel it thanks to Emily.

We had a very full but enjoyable day today. Our destination was Hue and we went via the Hai Van pass which had stunning views. We stopped at Lang Co, Emperor Khai Dinh’s mausoleum and the Imperial City at Hue. We enjoyed a 7 course Vietnamese meal in a beautiful restaurant, followed by a Pagoda visit and ride along the river in a boat. Our guide, My was very friendly and knowledgeable and we were never rushed. The drive back to Da Nang was long but it was overall very worthwhile.

This tour was amazing.
The tour guide (sorry don't remember her name) but she was so lovely and so much fun.
The forbidden city of Hue was stunning.
The restaurant she took us to was stunning. the food was great.
The boat trip on the Perfume river was the only low part as we were hassled by the boat owners to buy souvenirs. Which made it a bit uncomfortable.
The royal tomb was stunning.

A wonderful trip, our tour guide Emily worked really hard to make sure our experience visiting the imperial city was as memorable as possible.
With so much History to try to absorb in such a short time it’s hard to take it all in.That said the morning we had gave us much information which has helped give us a better understanding of Hue and the importance of it’s place in Vietnamese History.

On our day tour to Hue, we stopped at the breathtaking Hai Van Pass, a local pearl shop and the ancient city of Hue. Emily, our tour guide gave us a summary of the trip and consistently updated us of our progress and direction. She taught us a lot about vietnamese modern culture and Hue’s ancient history - a great guide. She was lovely and very keen to answer any questions (including questions related to history and culture). She is also a great and willing photographer! Our driver was driving very carefully in the mountains but he was speeding and overtaking other cars quite a lot when we were on flat surface - our experience would have been even better if he drove more smoothly. Otherwise, a great tour!

Had a memorable day in Hue. The Citadel, pagoda and tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh are all beautiful and my guide Tom and driver Quoc took great care of me. Tom is very knowledgeable about all the sites and his English might be better than mine, LOL. Strongly recommended.

This trip to Hue has been the highlight of my trip to Vietnam till now. Firstly the guide, Mr Eric was the best of the guides I have come across in a long time. He was knowledgeable and could answer all my queries promptly and correctly. More than that it it was his enthusiasm and smile which ensured that our trip was a memorable one.
Secondly, Vietnam’s monarchist grandeur was on display. The palace was exquisite to say the least but not pompous. The Tombs were a class apart in its architecture and reminded me of Taj Mahal in India though Taj Mahal is at a larger scale and in marble. The exclusive aspect I observed was the use of colour in cement to give the appearance of marble as also the intricate marble and Glass inlays.
The travel to and fro through the hills provided some breathtaking views which were enhanced due to the low clouds which blessed us.
Last but not the least, the food which was served was fabulous but maybe too heavy for consumption in one go but the restaurant preferred to pack the left overs for us rather than throw it away as waste.
Overall a fabulous trip which cannot be missed. The day out from Da Nang and the beaches was truly worth it and kudos to Mr Eric

Great experience to be able to see Hue in a day from Đà Nẵng. It is a very long day around 11.5 hours but worth it. Wish there was more time to explore the citadel but it was already getting late. Being able to see the highlights in Hue and going over the Hai Van pass was great. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and kept the show moving.

This was an excellent tour. Our tour guide, Viet, was very knowledgeable about the Nguyen Dynasty and the general history of the area. The tour included a great meal and a nice boat ride up the Perfume River.
The drive through the Hai Van mountain pass was very beautiful. You go from sea level to an elevation of 500m with all the views that go along with it.
Tour left on time, got home at the time expected, and was all in all an excellent day.

Very well organised tour that let us experience what Hue has to offer without feeling rushed. I was glad we went through the pass as the scenery is amazing. Loved the dragon boat ride to the pagoda and the comfortable van offered a reprieve from the heat between sites. Our lunch was superb. Thank you Bao for being a wonderful guide.

We were happy with the booking and arrangements for the day trip. It was a shame that the misty, wet weather spoilt any chance of a view from the Hai Van pass. The day in Hue was well organised but again the weather meant our guide had to rush us between sites to stay dry. Lunch was a sit down set menu with lots of food.
The boat ride was maybe the least interesting. Hue has lots of amazing places to fit into one day. Maybe an overnight stay would be good.

Pros: Nice Minibus, small group, we were only 7 (different to STours where a "small" group of max 15 people were in fact 30 inside a tiny chinese bus with narrow seats). Even though it takes 10 hrs it is worth to do, Citadel and Tomb of Khai Dinh were impressing, very nice location for lunch and delicious taste of different Vietnamese dishes.
Cons: The guide was not too entusiastic. She talked in the bus without loudspeaker and in spite of repeated requests often did not talk in the direction to the travellers so not everything was understood in row 4. All tourist groups had the guide inside Tomb of Khai Dinh but our guide was too lazy to join us. The river cruise was nothing special as the surroundings did not have any interesting views.

We joined the group tour however we were the only ones on it that day. Our driver was great but it was a slow trip due to speed limits. Our guide was excellent in all respects - knowledge, language skills and professionalism.

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Hue. We got lucky and ended up having a private tour! The tour was an efficient way to explore several sites in Hue and in the heat, you can’t beat the convenience and comfort of traveling in a car with AC. Our guide Tom/Mot was delightful and good company. He had a lot of interesting and humorous stories and anecdotes throughout the tour and accommodated our needs. We also must comment on his impressive command of the English language. He has a more extensive vocabulary than many native speakers, and it’s evident that he is a real student of history and the English language. We would definitely recommend this tour.
