My mom, husband, and I really enjoyed this walk around Gloucester and the ghostly tales that came with. We were fortunate with a small group, but the guide was very friendly and made the experience feel personal.

We made it to where we were instructed to be at 8:00pm. There was nobody there to take us on the tour. The address was at a building that was closed down with scaffolding all around. We tried calling the number provided in my email numerous times and only received a message machine. We waited around for about 20 minutes, took some selfies near the church across the street, still nobody showed up so we left as it didn’t seem like a very safe neighborhood to be in as it gets dark.

Hi Michael,
Apologies about this. I have been having some issues regarding emails and notifications when people book. That has now been resolved. I also checked my phone records, I did get an American number, but it didn’t ring once. My phone is on and has signal at all times. This is not the first time that this has happened with this booking system. I am currently looking at a new one if this issue cannot be fixed. The building that we start on, is having some major work done at the moment, but will be fully opening again in September, where we will be going in to have a look around for the tour. Interesting from a historical perspective and good insight into hidden Gloucester with some interesting stories but few giggles. However the organisation and execution was poor. The tour guide arrived 15minutes late stating her time keeping was poor - and indeed it was. The advertised time for the tour was 1.5 hours. However after 2 hours we were still going. My 87 year old mother was clearly tiring and another member of the group struggled too. The guide stated that the tour would only last a further 5 minutes but continued for 30. We finished a. long way away from our stating point. We left my sons with my Mother and with some instructions from the guide navigated back to the start point to go back with our car, with the help of google maps to collect the rest of the family. We would not have booked this tour had we known the duration

Thank you for your honesty. As I’ve only been doing these tours in Gloucester for a year, I haven’t had a group as big as the one that night. Unfortunately that night, was the first night for a big group. I now know what does and doesn’t work with bigger groups. I wish you would have told me that your mother was struggling, as I could have adapted the route to make it more manageable for her. When booking the tour, it does state that the finish location is at a different spot compared with the start location, with both being different postcodes. Every business has its teething problems to figure out what will and won’t work. I am figuring out a route where the start and finish ends up in the same location. I am also having technical issues trying to update the times on here to start at 8.30pm, but it does not excuse the fact that I was late. Another reason that I’m looking to find a start and finish at the same place.

Had a great time learning about the history of Gloucester and some of it’s various hauntings. It was fun, knowledgeable and the walk was at a comfortable pace with frequent stops to discuss the buildings and the spooky goings on. Lots of on topic and off topic answers to all questions asked. We will be back to do the other route.

It was a rainy Saturday evening. Everything was perfect except the rain + wind. Learned a lot about the history of Gloucester. The guide was very knowledgeable and made it super fun. Will definitely recommend and will definitely come back and will stay at those haunted places mentioned (no spoilers).

Excellent and informative in relation to both the history of Gloucester and it’s ghosts. We were taken to some hidden gems which made the trip worth while even without the added commentary.
