Absolutely fabulous small group experience. Very informative and FUN tour with one of the owners, Bhagya. She is so passionate about their products, and it really comes through with her welcoming personality. The gin itself was simply amazing! I didn’t think I liked gin, but I love THEIR gin. This was a unique experience that I’d definitely recommend to anyone!

A Must-Do Experience in Cork: The Rebel City Distillery Tour

During our visit to Cork, we were lucky to discover and book the Rebel City Distillery Tour. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Bhagya, one of the owners, who also served as our guide and host. The tour was fantastic, providing a truly personal and engaging experience! Bhagya did an excellent job of guiding us through the distillery’s history and origins, offering a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the distillation, mixing, and bottling processes. We had the opportunity to sample a variety of their spirits, including Gin, Vodka, and Absinthe. Throughout the tour, Bhagya added an extra layer of fun with a friendly game for my girlfriend and me, where we were challenged to find different items or answer questions related to the distillery. The prize? An extra shot of their delightful Gin! It was clear that the owners are passionate about their craft, carefully selecting ingredients from local sources in India and the Cork area. Bhagya was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining, making the tour an unforgettable experience.

Small distillery so intimate tasting not too commercialized. I wouldn’t really call it a tour but a tasting. Loved this tour/sampling.

This tour was awesome! It was great getting to talk to Bhagya, and I loved how personal the whole experience was. I highly recommend for those interested, especially since it is one of the easier walks (compared to other distillery experiences).

What an exciting new start up distillery! Very personalized experience; not commercial like other distilleries. You get to meet the owner(s) and learn all about not only the process but the genesis of The Rebel Distillery which is literally the marriage of India and Ireland. The similar history and spirit of Cork Ireland and India is fascinating. The Maharani gin, Absinthe, Vodka (and soon rum!) are handmade with so much thought in the herbs and spice recipes. You’ll love having been on the cutting edge of this baby distillery! 😉

Roisin was a wonderful and engaging host for our family's distillery tour. We loved learning the history of the brand, seeing where and how the spirit is distilled, smelling the different notes, and tasting their gin and absinthe! Have to say I've never had gin straight and likely never will again (burning fire) but wow could you taste a difference when mixed with some tonic! I loved the absinthe as well and purchased a bottle to bring home. The distillery is a bit out of the way, about a 30 minute walk from the center but a quick taxi ride, and in kind of a random industrial lot, but you'll learn why that particular location was chosen during the tour and there's an awesome food hall right next door should you crave some snacks, drinks, a meal, and some light shopping after your gin tasting. I loved this tour and would definitely recommend for those wishing to get a very niche & local taste of Cork!

We had one of the most wonderful experiences with the owner of Rebel City distillery! We ended up being the only ones that showed up so we had a private tour she took great care of us and we got to see all the facilities and even got listen to some music. This is a must see, must do experience! Our guide was amazing-very knowledgeable and very friendly. We learned so much about this wonderful company and the ingredients as well as the production of gin and absinthe. We also met the owners who were warm and welcoming! Make sure to have good directions. This is in an industrial area but very safe !
