This tour is a MUST!!
AMAZING food &
beverages.
Knowledgeable and EXTREMELY FRIENDLY tour guides.
They started by kindly helping us with parking. Then, we were treated to lovely sausage rolls. We stopped at a store and got sweet treats and the most delicious strawberries. After that more walking and history. Followed by a lovely Irish coffee and latte in a little pub. Next, we went to a chocolate shop where the chocolates were made on the premises. You will have a hard time walking away with just a few.
Our last stop was lunch. It was fabulous!!
Oysters, a lovely fish soup, a salad, and the most amazing piece of fried fish. Accompanied with a glass of wine.
As I said, this tour is a must. The tour guides were two of the most lovely ladies I’ve ever met. They took the time to answer our questions and explain the history of Kinsale Ireland.

The tour did not show case any of the epic cuisine of Kinsale. What a complete disappointment! The food could have come from any pub, and not necessarily a good pub !
It certainly did not showcase the great chefs of Kinsale. It was the low point of our trip.

We do not claim to feature "great chefs" from Kinsale, although we do include recommendations and suggestions for their restaurants as part of the experience. We met at the tourist information center, which was nice our guide Celia was very punctual. And we started with her telling some active dots and stories and what the day would hold.. you can show up to this hungry. We had quite a variety of very yummy food and drinks.

Kinsale is the epitome of Irish coastal towns - it has a warm welcoming spirit, beautiful location, great food and great people. We were blessed to have Margaret be our guide, but really she was like a long lost friend. For well over 3 hours she told stories, introduced us to friends and showed us awesome nooks and crannies of this special place. And the food is as good, actually better, than you’ve heard. We left not only with warm memories and full stomachs but with a great new friend. Slainte!

I would give Cecelia, our tour guide (and new girlfriend) a five star rating. She took us all around town, providing 5 different culinary experiences. We loved the Irish coffee, frosted with an inch of whipped cream. She talked about the town and Irish food customs and likes, and she was genuinely interested in hearing from us. The only reason for the 4-star review is that Viator was overly communicative. About one hour before we were scheduled to meet, I was notified that our tour had been cancelled, but it turned out they were referring to a cancellation I had made the month before when I discovered we were accidentally double booked. It was very confusing and we almost missed this wonderful experience. Thank you, Celcelia!!

Conversation with Celia. The food was very good and varied representation of what Kinsale has to offer. The sausage rolls were delicious and the cake and Irish Coffee. Waiting to enjoy our chocolate for when we are less full! We also learned more about Kinsale than we anticipated and got some recommendations for shopping and later entertainment!

Our tour guide Kerry was extremely knowledgeable about Kinsale, seeing she has lived most of her life here. The food was great, but the highlight of the tour was Kerry’s personal touch. We had the unique experience of being the only two taking the tour which made it that much more personal.

We had a lovely time on the tour with Celia. Come hungry, there is lots of stops for delicious food. The tour was nicely paced, mostly flat route which made it easy for all parties to stay comfortable.

Celia was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the town. Between the delicious food of sausage rolls, Wexford strawberries, Irish coffee, cheeses, chocolates, fish and chips, fish chowder, oyster and mushy peas, we traversed the little town learning about its history and culture. Highly recommend!

The drinks, the food, the conversations were delightful and Amanda was a wealth of information with regard to the history of Kinsale and Ireland. She even surprised us with her incredible singing! Kerry was such a great guide! She loves what she does! We enjoyed the food and the history as well strolled through Kinsale. It was a bit rainy at the start, but the luck of the Irish was on our side. The rain ended and we had beautiful weather! Kerry made the tour so personal and even gave us prints of her paintings. Kerry is a treasure of Ireland!

Amanda was fantastic- full of knowledge and insights…and a few surprises! We’d been to Kinsale 20 years ago and loved it but this was an amazing way to really learn about the history and modern life in Kinsale. Food was plentiful but not overwhelming. We’ve been on many good tours and I’d rate this one highly!

During this tour, my family and I learned of the wide range of flavors that can be found in Ireland from deliciously crispy sausage rolls to creamy seafood chowder along with homemade Guinness brown bread. We also learned about the complex, interesting history of the small town of Kinsale and Ireland as a whole. Our tour guide lead us as we meandered through the narrow, colorful streets of Kinsale packed with shops, restaurants, and a kind Irish culture. Overall, this tour was the best way to truly soak in the beauty, flavor, and history of Kinsale. I would definitely recommend this tour to a friend or anyone who wants to elevate their experience in this beautiful town.

The tour gave a us a really good history of Kinsale and the key events in its history. Our guide was very good and knowledgeable and the walk was at a good pace. We got good advice on where to eat and shop and for other activities. The tasting of local foods was most enjoyable and the seafood at end was excellent.

If you’re headed to Kinsale you MUST do this delightful and delicious walking tour with Amanda as your guide. She is so special - entertaining with darling Irish hospitality and wit. The walking was leisurely enough for my mom but also fun and interesting for my young adult daughter. Just perfect! How can you beat Irish coffee in front of the fire or fresh seafood across the street from the water?! So memorable!

I wish there was a way to rate this as a “10-star” excursion — it was one of the best tours I had during my entire two-week trip to Ireland.
Our tour guide was Amanda. She will likely begin her spiel telling you she’s a sort/kinda introvert — don’t believe her for a minute! She’s outgoing, funny, friendly, warm, and just a joy to be around! She kept us moving and laughing for the entire tour.
The food? Yes, the food! Sausage rolls, Irish coffees, seafood, cheeses, chocolates…each at a different restaurant ranging from historic sites to new places — a perfect balance of new age and old school.
I’m not going to ruin the surprise, but I will tell you to have your phones to set record video when you make the cheeseboard stop…that’s all I’m saying!
Pro tip: At St. Multose Church, double-dare Amanda to pull the bell tower rope!
