Don't do it if it's cold, windy and wet. I'm sure it will look magnificent in about 10-20 years time - when restorations are further advanced.

Enjoyed a tour of the Medina Azahara today. Our guide was Almudena and she made the visit very interesting and explained everything thoroughly. It is a fascinating place and she brought it to life. Well worth a visit.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and considered. The tour was very pleasant despite of the bad weather. The audio system worked very well. The only recommendation is to try to communicate better the logistics to the group as there were times of uncertainty that added unnecessary stress to the experience.

We were fortunate to be the only ones in the tour group. Our guide was Fran who was exceptionally knowledgeable in the historical events and excavation of the sites. It was a super hot day yet we had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this tour but keep in mind it was just me and my brother so there is definitely a bias since it felt like a private tour. Nonetheless, Fran was super!

This was a great little trip from the city. The palace is spectacular and we had a really good guide. There's a small but useful museum at the end in a beautifully designed building. I would liked an extra hour to wander around but this tour was a great introduction

Great tour! I highly recommend if you have the time to go, go! They are still excavating and restoring a lot, but this is well worth the few hours - amazing to see how advanced earlier centuries were and to learn about the history of the Iberian peninsula. And to top it off - Ana was GREAT! She was extremely knowledgeable, went at a great pace and was just a pleasure.
