He was an awesome guide, so knowledgeable, entertaining and funny.
We recommend this tour for anyone!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and considerate of the older members of our group and kept the pace at a level that everyone was able to keep up.
Our guide appeared in period costume dressed as a medieval archer. He gave us an excellent tour of medieval Chester. His knowledge of the topic was very evident and the information was presented in an engaging way. I greatly appreciated that the guide kept the focus on history and did not burden the tour with any of his personal political opinions about contemporary events as some guides do.
Overall, this was a great tour which I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the history of Chester.
Very interesting walk and talk. Richard got you really involved, showing artefacts, explaining history with lots of information and fun!
Awesome tour, guide (Carl) was fantastic. Learned a lot about Chester and how significant the city was.
A very nice, interesting your in the beautiful city of Chester, very nice and knowledgable guide. Thanks
Very interesting experience. Richard was very knowledgeable about medieval times and the wars that the Chester Longbow men fought. Full of facts and pointed out several local areas explaining what happened there in medieval times. Injected humour in to the story telling. Enjoyed it very much.
This was a very in-depth look in to Medieval Chester and the importance the town played in history, particularly in regard to the Chester Archers
VIATOR is useless. I paid £21 and they didn't email the tickets. Had to phone up and ask what was going on. The person said" oh yes, this happens" Discusted at bad service.

Hi
We are sorry that Viator didnt send you the ticket and our member of staff did explain that we have been in talks with them to reslove this problem. he also went out of his way to make sure the guide knew you would be on the tour and to send you the details. We hope that the tour went well for you as nothing said about that.
Really interesting walk and talk. Richard was very personable, his passion for the subject came across well. He had a great knowledge of the history of the subject. I would recommend this tour of Chester.
The Tour was easy to find outside the townhall and we were instantly impressed by the outfit and effort made by our tour guide Thomas, who was dressed as a Cheshire Long Bow Man. The tour was well thought out and taking through history as we completed each point of interest.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, the tour guide Thomas was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. He obviously enjoys what he does and made the tour very interesting.
The medieval walking tour of Chester was fantastic. Thomas was dressed as a longbow man and talked to us in character. He got a lot of fascinating information across in an enjoyable way. We learnt a huge amount about that period in history and what was going on in the Chester area and he really brought it alive to us. I was very impressed with his knowledge and his obvious passion for history. I would strongly recommend this tour as fun as well as informative.
Our guide Thomas was excellent, very knowledgeable and clear. He put everything into context without losing his audience.
Overall a great experience. A bit disappointed at not seeing more of the City sights during the 90-minute tour, the guide did go on a lot. Would have prepared to have less talk in exchange for seeing more of the city "sights"
Extremely knowledgeable tour guide who injected humour into his narrative which really brought the period to life.
seeing the weaponry worn in 15th century by archers at war.
learning about the reputation of the Cheshire archers in conflict with France
Thomas was amazing, very informative and as I was so lucky to have a one on one tour with him, loved the discussion and opinions.
Richard was very professional and enthusiastic in his tour. Very knowledgeable and informative. He dressed up as a Chester Archer.
Was a fun experience and would highly recommend.
Our guide Richard was very knowledgeable on The Medieval Tour of Chester, and it was fascinating to imagine life in those times
When meeting our guide, we arrived already by his clothings brought in the mood for medival times. He told us not only in an authentical way a lot about the city, its people and war, sucess and intrigues that influenced life and death but had beside shield, sword, and helmet also many smaller pieces of daily use like coins etc ready in his pockets to show.
We recommend the walk for everybody interested in a brief but excentic and comprehensive presented overview of Chester's wild times.
The guide was confident, funny and knowledgeable and brought several items to help bring the stories to life.it was a windy and busy day but the guide was always counting up the group to make sure we were together and took us to lots of points of interest in the city…all in all a good tour
Guide was brilliant- loved the story and presentation - bought to life living 1397-1402 - creating a real imagine of the times
The medieval tour was amazing excellent knowledge and amazing stories really bringing medieval Chester to life, Saw and experienced things you might miss on a visit to this city. Our guid Edward was brilliant and enthusiastic would definitely recommend to any one wanting to visit chester do not miss this tour.
More about historic rivalry than Chester the city and its buildings. For me, I would have prefered to know more about the town. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Hi Chris
Sorry to hear that the tour didnt quite meet you expections about the bulidngs of Chester. As said on the informtion about the tour we take you around Chester and talk about the importance of the city duirng the year of the fringle crown and the rebellion of Hotspur.
our guides do cover rows and some buildings in city as they are unqiue and important to the city for trade in medieval times and give insight into life of medieval Chester which is what our tour is about.
