Owing to its historic architecture, the museum has only partial accessibility: There are several steps to the entrance, but the interior is on one level and is wheelchair-friendly.

While the exhibitions are generally accessible to children, some areas, including the sexual health exhibition, are better suited to older visitors; these areas are marked as recommended for those over 18 years old, with a gate divider in place.
