On our last day in Morocco, my husband and I had decided to take a cooking class with a local. After a somewhat rocky trip, this evening was the best send off we could have asked for. Our host was absolutely amazing. She was extremely hospitable and kind. The food was delicious. I am a vegetarian, which our host accommodated by showing us how to make a veggie tagine as well as a soup. She expressed that only when you have eaten with and cooked with someone, do you really get to know a place's culture, which my partner and I whole heatedly agreed with. We will definitely be integrating cooking classes in future trips abroad! To note for other travelers: Though our host spoke English, it took some effort to converse, thus my husband who speaks Arabic did most of the talking.
