If you’re thinking about exploring the Cabot Trail, this tour is an absolute must! The views along the coast were breathtaking, and our guide, Brian, kept us entertained and enlightened the entire way with plenty of facts and history about the area. His navigation skills were so spot-on that I’m pretty sure John Giovanni Caboto himself would be taking notes!
As a solo traveler, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The small group setting made it easy to connect, everyone was friendly, and we had a great time together. Highly recommended!

This was a great way to enjoy the beautiful sights around the Cabot Trail. Frank, our driver, was knowledgeable and knew the best places to stop and enjoy lunch. It’s a long day but well worth it.

Our guide Frank was very knowledgeable about Cape Breton. He shared a lot of experiences with us that tied in to what we were seeing. We were on the tour with another couple and two friends traveling. We had a great time seeing all the fantastic views together. If you want to be able to sit back and enjoy your day on the Cabot Trail, take this tour.

After 50 years my husbad and I finally made our honeymoon trip around the Cabot Trail. It was fogged in 50 years ago, for several days. A lovely summer day to see this beautiful area of Cape Breton. Harry, our excellent driver, was very entertaining and informative and went out of his way to accommodate us. Besides viewing the beautiful land and sea scapes we enjoyed side treks to remote, but active fishing villages, as well as stops for delicious snack and lunch breaks. Although lovely in summer, it would be spectacular in the fall.

Excellent tour (and I’ve been on many tours in the US and in Canada!). We lucked out with only three tourists on board a very comfortable vehicle. Our driver Harry was immediately friendly and personable. He gave us over 9 hours of Cape Breton history and trivia as we travelled. We stopped at many lookout points and had lunch in an outstanding restaurant along the way . . . Even had a final stop for ice cream! I would do it again if ever in the area! I give Harry and Cabot Discovery Tours “two thumbs up!!!” Thanks for a memorable day, Harry! I appreciate it greatly!!!

Well worth the cost. In spite of not great weather conditions, the trip was most enjoyable, many spots to stop for refreshments and photo opportunities. Our guide Frank, was great!

My first solo trip ever was so special as Harry made it just amazing. His energy throughout the journey was just marvelous. He made sure to explain each and every detail. He was livley and caring. He also kept us entertained while we had lunch at this beautiful place, he shared his photo album. I had the most beautiful time.

Bruce, our driver and tour guide was excellent. He was very laid back, funny, informative and very knowledgeable. The only thing that would have made it better, would have been if the leaves had changed colour more, but , Mother Nature! Highly recommend!

It makes more sense to do the Cabot Trail by bus as you can see much more and hear about the history of the place and have some interesting humorous stories told to you during this experience. I would have missed some of the hidden gem spots to stop for the best views and photo ops.

The tour guide let us to Aspy Bay. He told me about Cabot landing place is 5 miles from Aspy Bay. There is a large Rock there that marked the spot where Cabot landed. Every year People would visit it with flower. This story touched my heart .

We did the Cabot Trail Discovery Tour in August 2024 with our guide Brian. The date we originally picked had rain in the forecast, and the team was kind enough to move our tour to another date, thanks to Misty and Brian for making it happen! We enjoyed the day and all of Brian's stories, both of the history of Cape Breton and his personal experiences. A great day all around!

Everything about this trip was amazing!!! We can't say enough about spending the day with Harry....he was friendly, knowledgeable, funny kind, caring and he made sure we did not miss a thing. Harry was an excellent tour guide. He entertained us with interesting stories and provided us with great insights of where to hike stay, and eat. We never felt rushed. He provided us with lots of photo opportunities and gave us some history on Cape Breton Island. I would highly recommend this tour so you can sit back and enjoy the beauty of the Cabot Trail without having to drive.

We took this tour on our first full day of vacation on Cape Breton. It was absolutely worth the cost and the investment of our time. Harry was such a great tour guide. We just loved his stories and his incredible insight of the island. It has definitely made our vacation here more meaningful. He took us to a wonderful lunch spot and stopped at a lot of special look outs and small villages. Don’t worry, you are definitely not in the bus for long stretches and there are plenty of bathroom breaks. We almost didn’t take this tour because of the 8 hours but it really flew by…. The best part of the trip was Harry!!! We loved the stories, history, information and wonderful stops he chose to share with us. The views from the outlooks were spectacular and we loved that he chose some little known spots as well. In addition to time to explore the Eastern and Western shore he chose a bakery stop, a fun restaurant for lunch and an ice cream stop in the afternoon. The van was very comfortable with great windows to experience the views along the way. It was a great bargain and allowed all 4 of our group to see the beautiful surroundings without having to deal with the drive. I would wholeheartedly recommend Cabot Discovery Tours to everyone!

Harry kept us well informed and entertained as he drove us to the “good spots”, some villages off the beaten path. Much more relaxing than driving yourself, excellent lunch stop as well as many others. I appreciate the cushy van seats with room to spread out among the ten of us.
