Definitely do this tour! We were unsure what to expect but it was absolutely amazing! Chris was extremely knowledgeable and had a real passion for his work which is great to see.
Not only are the glow worms incredible in person (cameras don’t do them justice) the view coming out of the rainforest of the sky is amazing and we even saw a Python on the way back to our transport!
Would definitely recommend to anyone considering

Chris was such a lovely tour guide. He has a great balance of care for you and passion for nature. He laid out the trip for us (much like in the details when you book) as we boarded and it helped us mentally prepare for the journey. I took a light swim at the first waterfall and enjoyed everyone’s camaraderie as we decided whether or not we would go in, haha. I would recommend water shoes if you do go in. Makes it a little easier. Our dinner was lovely! Bring your glasses if you have trouble seeing in the twilight hours or at night. The glow worm experience is really unique and the darker the better, so make sure your vision is at its crisp. There are plenty of stops for the bathroom. We made one extra lil stop to pick-up his adorable 6-year daughter who was his lil helper for the evening. Sometimes it’s nice to be reminded of different perspectives as you walk through nature. This is also something Chris reminds you of as he recommends a one-way picture/conversational walk, and the other way silent walk to/fro the waterfall. His flute playing at the glow-worm site topped it off perfectly^_^

The glow worms themselves were nice but not that memorable, but I did love the trip to the rainforest and the swim at the waterfall.

An amazing trip exploring waterfalls, the Gondwana rainforest at night and seeing glow worms after enjoying a delicious meal. Chris was a wonderful guide offering an experience like no other. We have all come home with a greater appreciaton for nature and a sense of calm.

Our guide Chris was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about flora and fauna and gave a delightful rundown on the hippy origins of the area. Fabulous countryside on the ride there from Byron Bay and after a walk in the dark (fun) it was fascinating to see the glowworms closeup. This experience was well worth the investment.

I would definitely recommend this experience for true nature lovers! Swimming by the waterfall was exhilarating with the cold water! I would advise others to wear swim shoes if they don’t have summer feet because walking into the pool was a bit rough for the feet with how pointy the rocks are! Our guide Douglas was amazing with his knowledge of the land indigenous people and the environment was wonderful! He was such a friendly kind person who you could tell loved what he does and cared about all the people on our tour! The glow worms were a magical spectacle to see! Thank you Douglas for an amazing adventure!

A great view of the hinterlands, away from the coast. The glow worm caves were especially interesting. There is a lot of walking involved over terrain that is not smooth, so wear good walking shoes. A special thanks to Chris, who did an excellent job as our guide and driver.

Truly a magical day. There are some short hikes involved so be prepared and the road to get to the rainforest is twisty and maybe not for someone with car sickness. It was a wonderful time and well thought out trip. The waterfalls were amazing and I gather with rain last week they were at their best. The vegan dinner was very tasty and nutritious salads. Then the glow worms themselves were wonderful. The red lights provided helped to make the walk safe. Chris did a fantastic job leading and sharing his knowledge about the area.

Such an incredible experience, the food, the guide, the rainforest, everything was incredible. I felt like I got the true Byron Bay experience in this tour. I recommend bringing a really good camera as even mine wasnt able to capture the beauty of the glow worms, and also maybe eating before the tour if you tend to be a picky eater - although I thought the food was delicious :)

Felt like a very personal trip with the group size being small , our guide Douglas was very knowledgeable and friendly and playing a little didgeridoo in the pitch black with just the light of the glow worms was truly magical, all the stops were special and you just felt like you were on an adventure from start to finish

Our tour guide gave the tour a relaxed vibe. The tour was very informative and our overall experience was great. A swim at a lovely swimming hole was refreshing and the waterfall was amazing. The food was nice. Having a smaller group made the experience a bit more personal.

This is such an amazing experience!! I can't recommend this enough!! The tour guide, Cris, was so knowledgeable, so welcoming. I would definitely recommend swimming under the waterfall if you get the chance, honestly such an amazing experience.

This was a glorified nature walk. It was really pretty, but not for how long it took to get there by bus, it dampened the experience a little bit. On the positive side, they do take you out to the depths of nature, near a waterfall and a nice walk. The glow worms that are a bit underwhelming. The pictures are a bit misleading, you do get to see them, but they are only in small sections and not what I thought. I also wish I saw fireflies but I went at the wrong season. Overall it was fine, not worth the money for me, but may be for someone else!

This was an awesome tour! We got to swim under a waterfall, and see another beautiful one in the rainforest. Despite the weather, we were given ponchos and it was still pretty warm. The glowworms and the glowing mushrooms were also really cool!

The tour was beautifully planned, a truly once in a lifetime experience. The glow worms are mystical, enhanced by the beautiful flute played live by our host, and a spectacular end to an adventure that includes incredible rainforest, swimming in a glorious waterfall and a vegan feast. You also learn a lot about the hinterland and the important role environmental activism has played in preserving this wilderness. Amazing!

Actually I paid for 4 of us (family) but Alex our guide told us only 1 person was registered - so I have to drive myself with my wide to and fro. It was a 1.5 hours drive X 2. How can this happen?? I paid for 4 of us !
But Alex was a gentleman and at least for the food which was catered for only 10, he arranged for the 4 of us somehow...

I am sorry to hear you were disappointed. On our end, we received the booking for one customer only via Viator (since that was how many people we could fit in our van that day).
We have been advised by Viator that: "This booking could not be sent to your reservation system because the API connection failed to transact successfully."
We were, therefore, booked out for the day and could not fit the 4 of you. This took Alex by surprise since it was not registered in our booking system.
The options he offered to your group were to either follow us on your vehicle or get a full refund.
My apologies again for the inconvenience it may have caused. And thank you kindly for the feedback so we can keep improving our services.

This excursion was an 11/10! We saw so many cool sights in the Rainforest at Nightcap National Park. We saw a waterfall, amazing trees, and glow worms at night. We learned about hippie and environmental activist culture. Our guide, Chris, was knowledgeable and prepared and provided a yummy dinner. Swimming in the waterfall was a highlight as was the sounds of the forest, the smells, and being a part of nature.
