The walk was farther than expected and we had to rent shoes because needing a heel strap wasn’t clearly communicated.

We were picked up by our tour guide, Abner, just outside of the cruise port. The tour ended up being just the four of us in a van together along with Abner who is extremely knowledgeable about Belize and the history of nearby regions. He's an excellent driver who got us to the excursion safely and was happy to answer all of our questions and successfully guided us through the caves during the kayaking excursion. He waited for us during the Zip-lining portion and then took us back to the cruise port in plenty of time. We had a fabulous time with him and on the adventure in the cave. Zip lining was of the same type we've done before in the USA with a self-braking glove. Their competent operators do all of the clips for you and secure you to the lines. You are wearing the type of harness that makes it comfortable to walk in. Note the Zip line course is pretty hilly so if you have trouble climbing steep tall stairs, steep hilly terrain, or have balance issues, this may not be the ideal tour for you. We loved it though!
Unlike the tubing excursions, which involved literally busloads of people all lashed together in a raft and taken down, we were in command of our own kayak craft and our group was only 4 plus Abner. We paddled sit-on-top hard kayaks, so some skill at kayaking is recommended. My friend and his wife flipped in the cave but were quickly rescued by Abner and one of the other operators. Because we were in kayaks we were able to kayak upstream to a new area you can't reach in tubes which was really beautiful.

We did the kayaking cave tour and zip lining. Our guide was Abner and he was excellent! He told us all about the area and answered any questions on the drive to the caves. The cave tour was amazing! Our group was relatively small, only 6 people, so it was easy to stay together through the caves. Even the walk to the caves was informative. The zip lining was exciting! We zipped over the jungle and across a river. All the employees were helpful, friendly and did a great job. Because of the time, we had to eat our lunch (barbeque chicken and beans/rice) in the van on the way back to the port, but it was very tasty. I highly recommend this company, and especially Abner!

Enjoyed our excursion in Belize exploring the caves by kayak and zip lining!! Our guide and driver, Abner 1 and Abner 2 were great! On our drive to the area Abner#1 shared much about the area, the history, culture and current events! He was very knowledgeable and welcomed questions and offered so much knowledge. Once we arrived Abner #2 (our driver) took us on our kayak tour. He was also great offering plenty of insight to the area and the caves themselves. The only thing that prevents me from giving the tour a five star is it was very crowded with groups of tube tours this made it a little challenging navigating the kayaks. After our kayak tour we went to our zipline adventure. These guides were also great and for me it was my first time. They made us feel safe and comfortable. What a thrill flying through the air! On our way to the caves we were able to order a traditional lunch of rice, beans and chicken for $10 each. This was picked up on our drive back and enjoyed on our way to port. I definitley recommend this excursión and especially Abner #1 & #2!!

The entire experience was fantastic, but the zip lining was the coolest event. We will definitely do this again. Our tour guides of Berry, Abner, and Abner did an outstanding job and we will contact them for our next visit for sure.

We never received clear communications from this tour operator regarding the time of this tour. They sent out one email the day our cruise sailed with vague departure meeting instructions however no departure time was listed. If you don't pay for internet access on your cruise, you will have trouble with this tour company. I filed a complaint with the Belize Tourism Bureau. I have booked 5 previous tours from various viators operators (this cruise, in Paris and Amsterdam) and have never had an issue.

My husband and I had a blast on this excursion! Although neither of us are expert kayakers, we felt safe and sufficient during the tour. Our guides were very friendly and funny. They taught us all about the rain forest as we hiked through it - we even got to eat a termite! Then the actual cave kayaking was very beautiful and relaxing. When we moved on to the zipline portion of the tour, our guides were very helpful and made sure safety was a priority. The zipline had some beautiful views. The lunch we purchased was awesome!

Abner, Abner, Jeremy, and Marco were all excellent guides. Abner was our guide through the cave kayaking portion of our tour and he was very informative with interesting answers to any question we had. He was very knowledgeable of the natural and cultural history of the area.
Steven was our guide on the zip lining tour and was very helpful with showing us the proper form while ziplining, and he even let us use his personal helmet so we could attach our GoPro. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone thinking about visiting Belize.
This company also offers a cave tubing option instead of kayaking, the kayaking is very fun but if you want a relaxing experience you could choose tubing instead.

We really enjoyed learning a bit about Mayan history and the beautiful cave systems underground. It was breathtaking and a very unique experience. Best, though, was when our guide and his friend took us to their local neighborhood after the tour was finished to pick up a local favorite snack and some cashew wine to try. It was awesome to be exposed to true culture and history.

What a fantastic adventure - first ziplining through the jungle canopy, and then kayaking through lush jungle and spooky caverns. Eddie, our tour guide, and his assistant Chello, made our trip easy and pleasant throughout. Loved the personalized service, and all of the info that Eddie provided. First class from start to finish. Even helped us get a roadside meal on the way back to Belize City - yummy!

We ended up going cave tubing, rather than kayaking, and it was amazing!!! Our tour guides, Jeremy and Abner, were the best, and so informative and knowledgeable about Belize and its history. The ziplining was also super fun, and they made sure we were safe at all times. I highly recommend this tour, it was worth every penny and we can't wait to go back!!!

This tour was booked through VIV tours. The water tender from our cruise ship was late getting into Belize City due to rough seas. Once we got into the port, I contacted a member of VIV. I believe her name was Carmen. I told her we booked the kayak zip line tour. She told me the bus had already left. Carmen made a quick phone call. She said she would drive us to the bus which had pulled over to wait for us after the phone call. After a ten minute drive, we met up with the rest of the tour and continued to the park where the caves were. We zip lined on six separate lines. FANTASTIC! The guides were friendly, funny, and helpful. We then did the cave tour on kayaks. We were then fed a traditional rice and beans, and BBQ chicken dish. Delicious. This was by far our best excursion on this cruise. The tour guide was great, safe, and responsible. This company VIV Tours had excellent customer service and I would highly recommend them.
