Nice tour, giving a glance of Serbian history, actually not only the socialism. Our guide, Dragor, is a passionate and takes time to go through the details of history. Thanks for the nice day and for sharing history of your country with us!

Fantastic, interesting and informative tour. I learnt a lot about the history of this interesting country. My guide Marko was amazing. Due to protests in the city, I was the only person on the tour but the company didn’t want to let me down so ran it with just me which meant I got to ask as many questions as I wanted. Made my trip to Belgrade.

I recently went on the Red Belgrade Communist Tour and had a fantastic experience. Our guide, Nebo, was very knowledgeable and took his time to answer all of our questions. The group was small, just six people, which made the experience feel more personal and intimate. I also learned so much about Belgrade that I didn’t know before. Overall, I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about the city’s history

Very provocative tour full of history and current conflicts facing Serbia. Also a very good way to get familiar with Belgrade and its public transportation. Nebo was an excellent guide.

The tour guide Radica was great, knowledgeable and got over the info with real enthusiasm. One of the best tour guides I have had
The tour itself was really interesting and gave an insight into the history of this intriguing city

Our guide - Radica. - was excellent. She spoke so well and knew her stuff!! Just 2 issues - both groups who booked thought it was in English - but apparently it was Spanish. Maybe check your booking site to make it clearer. Also - it’s advertised as Red Belgrade - we were after much more info about communism in Serbia - but this was not the focus at all. You need to change the name or the content.

Very interesting. Nebo was a great guide and had lots of info to share. A lot of the tour was focused on the Yugoslavia Museum and it included a bus ride there as it’s a bit out of the centre — this was really useful as i would have had trouble figuring out on my own how to get there with the bus.

Over the course of a very pleasant morning walk, our tour guide Hristina summarised the complex history of Serbia and the region in sympathetic and intelligent light. She answered all our questions clearly and was also happy to talk our matters of general interest to tourists.
We highly recommend the tour and thank Hristina for her generosity.

My husband and I booked this tour, expecting to learn about the Communist era in the former Yugoslavia and the legacy of Josip Broz Tito...and while we did learn a lot about those topics, we walked away with a priceless experience, so much more. This tour allowed us to gain a much greater understanding of Serbian history, it's culture and the passion and strength of its people. We discussed many topics over the course of this tour, including the transition of the republic to the socialist government as we walked around key locations in the Belgrade City Center. By approaching these discussions with an open mind, we walked away with a much greater understanding of the complex history and current political structure of the Balkan countries.
Nebojsa was a fantastic tour guide who went out of his way to engage every individual on the tour, and to talk with each of us about our own individual questions. He was gracious, professional and polite to every person on the tour, and I felt we had a much greater understanding of the amazing Serbian experience, history and culture after our morning with him.
While our conversation with Nebojsa and his companion guide were the highlights of the tour, I do have to make a special call-out of our trip to the Museum of Yugoslavia that ended the tour. This was such a special experience: the Museum was a little bit further out, and not a place where we would probably have gone on our own; but our guides took us on a trolley ride to the site, and then walked us through the entire facility, including Tito's grave. Every part of the museum was fascinating, and definitely not something that anyone who is serious about understanding the complex Yugoslavian history should miss.

Our guide Isadora is an expert about the topic and stops at special places of the city to create a chronological tour that keeps you interested at all moments.

Very well thought out tour, our guide Borjan was very informative and was able to give stories from his own personal experience. He was very engaging and was very careful in making sure we understood the events taking place. Definitely have a much better understanding of this time and how it impacted the citizens of Yugoslavia.

First, I want to say that the tour operator really deserves praise for how they handled me being the only person on a group tour. Rather than just canceling the tour, they sent a message and offered me a different tour and a bit of a refund or an option to pay a small surcharge to remain on this tour. This is the tour I wanted, and for what became a private tour this was still a great value. My guide, Nebo, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Having already been to most of the stops before on my own during previous trips to Belgrade, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I still learned from him. I would highly recommend this tour!

Really great tour with a lot of history. Our guide Nebo was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to capture history from many viewpoints and in interesting and fun ways.

The guide was very personable, engaging and knowledgeable. He helped the small group understand how communism fit into the broader history of Serbia. And how Yugoslavia fit into that history. It was a lot to take in but he shared it in small doses with breaks to point out favorite bakeries or book stores.

All was good ! Very interesting . The guide was excellent. Now I know so much of the communist era. Great
Clarissa_T, Oct 2017
This is quite a good tour if you're interested in history. Our tour guide, Nina, was charming and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed walking around Belgrade with her and hearing from her about the formation and history of Yugoslavia, World War II and Tito's rise to power, the breakup of Yugoslavia, and the Serbian perspective on the 1990s conflicts.
gabrielle L, Sep 2017
This was a well researched and balanced view of the history of the area told by a pleasant and well informed Dragana. It was excellent value and covered the whole history of the area but mainly the communist rule and Tito including a museum of personal items given over the years from various high ranking politicians and royals. A must for history buffs or those that like to see how communist dictators managed to live a capitalist lifestyle and keep the hearts of the people.
Good walking shoes are required as it is long and hilly.
A stop for drinks/ rest would help.
