Head out to the forest for a truffle hunt with this experience. You'll meet your guide at the Maison Aux Mille Truffes, where you'll get a briefing on truffles and how they are hunted. Then you'll head out to the woods with Julio, a truffle-hunting canine, who will search for truffles right before your eyes, before returning to your starting point for a product tasting.

We learned so much about truffles. Nicholas is a very effective and entertaining teacher. And, Taiga, the truffle dog is a star. Their truffle hunting demo was a lot of fun. The experience ends with delicious tastings of truffle products. Totally worth it.

What a fun way to spend an afternoon and learn about truffles and truffle hunting especially the terrific dog who loves her job! She is so clever. Highly recommend!

We learned so much about truffles. Nicholas is a very effective and entertaining teacher. And, Taiga, the truffle dog is a star. Their truffle hunting demo was a lot of fun. The experience ends with delicious tastings of truffle products. Totally worth it.

Nicholas was quite a character and very entertaining! We appreciated that he spoke so many languages. His dog was awesome! Although they both did a fantastic job, it might have been more fun to go a bit deeper into the woods to hunt the truffles. The tasting at the end was great, and they have plenty of truffle products for sale. We learned SO much about truffles as Nicholas is very knowledgeable. You will need a car or spend 33€ to Uber to the location.

Whether you know a bit or more about truffle go enjoy a crash course, truffle hunting and tasting at la maison aux mille truffles. The staff is friendly and put you immediately at ease. Nicolas and his dog Taïga are funny and incredible team to observe and learn from. If you are in Burgundy you need to embrace the full scale of what the region has to offer and La Maison aux Mille Truffles will definitely help you to discover the gastronomical jewels Burgundy can offer you.

Interesting experience but not as much out in the woods with the dog searching as I thought there would be. The chap was friendly, spoke good English and was very knowledgeable . Mostly inside with explanations and some sampling. Lovely area and it was Ok but wouldn’t rush back.

The presenter was really funny and informative. His dog Taiga was adorable and full of energy! However, im giving a low rating because the description is misleading. We did not go to the forest to search for truffles but instead we sat there for an hour listening to a lecture about truffles and spent roughly 20 mins having a demonstration of a hunt in the garden. There were also more than 10 people in our batch so it was a bit crowded. Again, the presenter was really great! I learned a lot from him and he was very entertaining but if you’re expecting to go spend an hour and a half in the forest to witness an actual truffle hunt and maybe get a few miutes rathen than an hour of briefing then I would not be recommending to book this activity

Fun afternoon to learn about truffles - what they are, how they grow and how they are harvested, and why they command such a high price. We also learned how dogs can be trained to find truffles, and we saw a live demonstration of "truffle hunting" by Taiga, the oh-so adorable 8-month truffle-sniffing Portuguese Water Dog. At the end of the demonstration, we also had a truffle tasing - and the truffle crème brûlée was out of the world! Our guide Nicolas was super funny and could really do standup comedy!

The dog is smart and cute. The programme is informative. And there is a nice simple tasting afterwards. It would be even nicer if the dog does a real search, which I understand it's quite impossible.

Great way to learn about truffles. And the food sampling was wonderful! While it was fun to watch the dog in action searching for planted truffles, we were slightly disappointed that we didn’t venture into the woods for a more “real” truffle hunting experience.

Der Hund war 8 Monate alt und war noch sehr verspielt und hat das Trüffelsuchen noch nicht so ernst genommen. Der Guide hatte ein fundiertes Wissen. Die Trüffel waren im Wald direkt an dem „Trüffelhaus“ versteckt. Die Trüffelberkostung war mit Fertigprodukten und nur zwei dünnen Scheiben frischem Trüffel. Hatten mehr erwartet.
