It was a wonderful experience overall. We were lucky and were only 6 people in total which made it even better. As a family of 4 we had two elephants for us, and one in the water. Mr. Yu was wonderful as a guide, very friendly and easy going and he clearly loves elephants. The elephants also seem to like him and be very much at ease - or at least one Lulu. He also took amazing photographs, so we not only have precious memories from the experience itself but also great keepsakes! We learnt many things about elephants and about these sanctuaries. It took as over an hour to get to the sanctuary (please do not underestimate travel time to different places on the island!) and we were ready to walk and interact with the elephants. So, at the beginning when Mr. Yu started talking to us and explaining everything, we got a bit restless. However, it made a difference and as mentioned, we learned a lot.
We got to be close to majestic animals without hurting them and it is an experience we will never forget. In case you are wondering, these animals were all rescued so they have not been taken from the wild. They are in a way already domesticated and they seem to be treated VERY well.
You get a small cooking class in the package which was a lot of fun, and the salad was actually REALLY good, and then a Thai buffet lunch which was very tasty.
This was my daughter's birthday gift, and it could not have been better. It is an experience none of us will forget. I highly recommend coming to this sanctuary. I cannot compare it to others, but I did read bad reviews at least about trekking. Again, these elephants having been rescued, seem to be well treated and taken care of. They roam free on the property and have a mahout each (a keeper) who basically lives with - and for - the animal.

This tour was amazing! We were able to get up close and feed the elephants. Our guide May was fantastic. Several in our group did the first hour and left. This is a great option if you are short on time. We opted for the trek and lunch. It was my husband, me the guide and our own personal elephant. We walked and learned more about the elephants and were able to spend quality time. Then we were put on motor bikes which was not counted on but very fun and taken to a little local place for a very delicious lunch. Do the combo but book early in the morning. It gets hot!

An amazing morning learning all about the sanctuary and the fantastic work they do protecting and caring for the elephants. The Guide was insightful and went out of his way to talk through the work they do and how they care for the animals. It was great to be able to prepare their food and experience them close up.

The sanctuary place is not the one we thought about, it’s quite new, just 11 months, made for tourists around patong area. Though elephants are lovely to see. They are used to tourists around.

We throughly enjoyed this experience. Great way to see elephants in their habitat. Chichi was an excellent tour guide and as expected very knowledgable about the elephants. He was also very accommodating to our friend who could not climb up the hill. Highly recommend this if you prefer to go where the elephant comes first.

We were picked up from our hotel on time by a very friendly driver who carried us to the elephant sanctuary.Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely young lady who was very happy and cheerful.
Meeting the elephants was fantastic and you could see the relationship between them and the keepers was solid.We got to feed and walk with them in the 100 acre site they live in.I would highly recommend this particular sanctuary to anybody wanting to do 1 and I’ll definately be back.

Group of women squeezed this into our morning the day we were leaving Phuket. The experience was amazing and something none of us will ever forget.
Our guide was amazing, easy to talk with, and answered all our questions. We worried doing this tour being that most places don’t have the best reviews or treatment of the animals but this was not the case here. The elephants roamed freely, they seemed comfortable and moved at their own pace, which was nice.
Highly recommend this trip! Making our lunch was delicious and nice touch to this already unforgettable experience.

This was amazing. It’s a preserve 15 minutes from Patong Beach. So authentic. We went for about an hour walk through the jungle with 2 elephants! Made food and fed it to them. Guides chopped down banana tree leaves and we fed them. This was not a canned, photo op type of tour, it was real, up-close and absolutely perfect. Our guide (Chi Chi) was so friendly! Afterwards they took as to an authentic Thai restaurant and we ate in a little hut on the water. Great job guys!

This is exactly the sort of elephant experience I was looking for. The elephants are allowed to wander with their guides. We watched and interacted briefly but mostly just observed and I loved it. The longer experience was worth it but there was a lot of standing around and might not be so good for small kids but they have shorter experiences too. Great to see a company that treats the rescue animals with care and respect. Thank you to our knowledgeable guide Mayya too she gave us lots of information.

Mayya was a fun tour guide. She made the experience interactive and added some good humor to the trek. Knowing that my money is going toward an elephant sanctuary that actually cares about the animals is amazing. I also had a delicious lunch. I think the experience would benefit from a bit more organization and planning.

An amazing experience. The elephants are so relaxed and well cared for. Lots of opportunities to interact with them but always on their terms (with maybe a little food encouragement). Each has a person who cares for them and make sure everyone is safe and happy. I realised I had a 3 ton elephant standing over me but she was kept in check with the odd word here and there.
The team are lovely and knowledgeable. Kai the guide is friendly and funny, always making sure we were OK.
We did the half day tour and absolutely loved every minute. We made elephant snacks and learnt about each of their histories.
The facilities are basic, but spotless. It really was a magical experience. Then to top it off we had lunch at Lob Mhum Pantong overlooking the carpet.
An absolutely fabulous experience.

Sanctuary is set high above Phuket. In a natural environment, 5 or 6 elephants ranging from one 9 year
Old mischievous boy to 5 lady elephants ages 18-32, roamed freely and we enjoyed making little bannana skinned burritos with fresh mashed tamarind, rice, banana and salt to feed them
Guides were gentle and very knowledgeable. Our tour had a bonus lunch at a cafe just outside sanctuary!

This was a great tour! You get to spend a lot of time with the elephants and they treat the elephants very well. Our tour guide spent a lot of time walking us through how the elephants are treated.
The only downside was we had to wait a long time for our ride home. We waited over an hour after we had lunch for our pickup.
I will say 4 hours gets you a lot of time with the elephants, if you are looking for a quick visit a 1 or 2 hour visit would also be great!
However, everyone at the Sanctuary was lovely and I had a fantastic time.

Taxi didn’t pick us up and we didn’t get to see elephants. Made contact with company to tell them and ask taxi to call or message me they had no details for driver said it was an air conditioned car and they don’t have those sort of details. So had to get own taxi but company could not give address of where we had to go. So we did not get there.

This is a great way to see local elephants without feeling guilty. You can see the love and care they have for these orphaned elephants. The guide was fun, knowledgeable and patient. 15min taxi from Patong Beach.

Me and my husband had an amazing time ! The staff is very friendly! We were able to feed the elephants, touch them and take all the pictures we wanted! They have different packages, the one one we picked included a meal, which it was delicious, they give you different options to pick from. 100% recommended

An incredible one of a kind experience. This company is ethical and treats the rescued elephants so well. It is clear they have a special bond. Everyone who worked there was so kind. We had so many amazing up close experiences, from feeding to bathing the elephants. Also the workers there take incredible pictures and videos. Like professional photographers. This company is ethical as well. I lost my expensive sunglasses and they returned them to the hotel. This experience was the highlight of our trip

We had such a knowledgeable guide and was able to spend a lot one on one time with each of the elephants, feeding and washing them.
There is some climbing of hills and it can be slick on those hills.
You will get dirty so dress accordingly.
It’s an experience we won’t forget!
