This sunset cruise was incredible! The launch point was very easy to find and access. The cruise itself was so elegant and serene. The food was exceptional and presentation flawless. I can’t say enough good things about the level of service provided by the wait staff. Simply excellent! And the cruise itself was beautiful. We got to watch the sunset and then the lights come up on the temples. I was grateful I was on this cruise versus one of the party boats that we passed. This was a beautiful way to end a day in Bangkok, and I recommended to anyone traveling there!!

Presentation of dishes supurb and it was all delicious, especially loved wygu beef. The scenery along the river was spectacular, if you want unlimited wine and beer not soft drink it is much cheaper, 1000 bht per person to order this package before the cruise as wine and bear expensive on cruise.

The best intimate dinner cruise in Bangkok

The greeting at the reception point was the start of an exception experience. The staff were well prepared, and had food and drinks on our table promptly. When the boat was ready to board we were greeted and shown our seats with kindness and precision. The courses and drinks flowed. Each dish Was presented in style and perfectly explained. Empty plates were quickly removed ready for the next meal. The staff were most professional in every aspect of their work. If was such a joy to experience this on board. I can only say my group has such a wonderful night. It will stay with us forever

The food was exceptional. We loved the pre-boarding dance. The team and the service provided were outstanding. The nighttime scenery along the river was absolutely stunning. We wish we would’ve done this on our first night in Bangkok rather than our 2nd to last as we spotted some places along the river that we would have liked to have toured by land.

A wonderful dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River! Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Pros: - High end service and location without being snooty! - A small number of guests and a fixed menu. No shoving to get at the buffet! - The converted rice barge was charming, and the space was well used so everyone had a good view and no one was crowded by another table. The dining area is covered, and glass walls moveable. If rain is in the forecast, you're still going to have a great view and great service. - The food was excellent. Several courses well plated and flavorful. I liked it all! (My Thai wife allowed it was "good", but she doesn't like anyone's cooking except hers :-) ). The dishes we had were a mix of Thai and Western flavors. - The service was superior: Vegus, Veem, Berry, and Pocky were attentive but not intrusive, warm and sincere, helpful, multi-lingual, and always available. My wife wanted to skip one course because what was on offer wasn't to her liking. On their own initiative, the staff and kitchen substituted chicken, and she was surprised and happy. No extra charge. I'd welcome a cruise with this staff again! - I appreciated the canapes and welcome drink while we waited to board. The boarding location, as part of the Anantara resort, was beautiful. - No entertainers who later offer a photo with them for 100 baht! (A feature of the larger competitive dinner cruises I've been on.) - They will gladly accommodate dietary or other requests. Of course, it's better if requests are submitted early. Cons: - Price is net about 2x the larger buffet cruise. If money is your primary concern, take the cattle-car-like cruise (their food is passable, and you can get that photo with the entertainer). Note that the other dinner cruises list their prices as about 1/3 of this cruise, but the larger cruises tack on many other charges once on board, so the net is about half. - I would have preferred a bit longer cruise. It was 2 hours, but 2.5 or 3.0 hours would have been nice. - Napkins with the welcome canapes! We asked and got them, but it would have been nice to have them before having to ask. A great dinner cruise. I am ready to book again!

A truly memorable experience! The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Our drinks were constantly being refilled. We enjoyed having a more intimate experience than the larger boats and it was beautiful seeing the city at night.

There were eight of us all friends that took the dinner cruise on the river in Bangkok. It was a very good cruise and the sightseeing was great at night and the food was very good. Overall, the service was excellent and we were impressed.

Great experience, friendly & helpful staff. Not overcrowded, food was good quality and plentiful. Presentation was lovely and the chef introduced himself, nice personal touch. We opted for non all inclusive with drinks as we wanted to purchase our own choice of bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend for you to add to your hit list of things to do in Bangkok.

Very well organized excursion. The scenery from the boat and from the meeting point is superb. The meal presentation is impressive. They did adjust our meal choices as requested. Don’t take the sky train to go to the meeting point, as we did… the 25 minutes walk required takes you in very narrow alleyway with cars and motorcycles passing by. Take the ferry or a cab ( Grab).

If it’s good I’ll will tell you and if it’s bad I will tell you how it is. So let’s start. We arrived at the Anantara Riverside Hotel roadside and asked for directions to the pier. We were personally escorted through the hotel and down to the pier side bar area whereby a reserved table was waiting for us, with a pre drink and canapés to follow, before boarding our vessel. Nice touch, simple but very effective. We then boarded our vessel on time. It looks well presented. Smartly dressed serving staff and interment tables were laid out for couples of two. Just enough room also for a small table group of six. The maximum guest occupancy on board for guests was 30 and with x5 serving staff and a chef and team down below, this made it all very personal and you knew a good night was to follow. Each food dish was extremely well presented, tasty and a well balanced timing between each course. For Thailand, the drinks on the vessel were expensive but hey, swallow it (about the same as you would pay in the UK for a night out in a good restaurant) the quality of this food, presentation, the ambiance of the scenery going down the river ,more than made up for paying £50:00 for a average bottle of wine. I did read somewhere on this review column that the staff linger around the end waiting for tips! All I can say is that this is total rubbish and don’t believe a word of it. What you find is that the Chef comes out at the end, asks (each table on a personal basis) if you enjoyed her food and then at the very end, whilst the vessel has docked, all of the staff stand together (as a team) and say good bye as you depart the vessel. That’s what I call a very professional service and there is certainly no indication whatsoever of hand out for tips. A perfect night out 10/10 and a huge thanks to the chef and all of the team onboard. You did an amazing job each and everyone of you.

My family really enjoyed this experience. The boat was lovely. The ambience was quite nice and the food was good. The service was also impeccable. I did a fair amount of research before booking a dinner cruise. I know it's one of the main things to do in Bangkok but I didn't want to do a buffet. This was a nice alternative. It was a set menu, and a very small boat compared to other dinner cruises.

The Right Choice for a Dinner River Cruise

We were in the middle of an ocean cruise, staying at a hotel overnight in Bangkok for a single night. We had visited some of the temples in the afternoon, and we had read that an evening river cruise is a good way to see some of the beautiful lights of Bangkok from the water. We found Manohra Luxury Dining Cruises based on positive reviews here at Viator, and we decided to book the cruise for our only evening in Bangkok. We assumed that the sights would be beautiful, and we were really just hoping that the food would be decent. For some reason we were not successful in booking the cruise on Manohra's own website, we kept getting an error message. So we booked it through Viator. The restored rice barge provided a very pleasant way to cruise the river, not at all like some of the big "party boats" we also saw on the river during our cruise. And whereas those cruises (based on comments from others who took them) had loud music and buffet dining, the Manohra cruise had a very refined atmosphere with beautifully presented table dining. I did not count them, but there must have been at least 8 courses, each with an impressive plating. And they were delicious, way beyond our hope that the food would be "decent." Toward the end of the cruise, the chef visited each table to thank us for coming, and she received nothing but compliments from everyone I could overhear. I should also add that they were very good about accommodating out dietary concerns.

Charming Cruise

I really appreciate that there are only about 25 people on this cruise. The boat itself is a charming old wooden boat. The service is wonderful; the food was good, but not amazing; each course is served at the table individually. Due to the small size of the boat, they were able to be somewhat flexible as to embarkation and disembarkation locations. For example, I was able to get off the boat off at Taksin Pier at the end, rather than go all the way back to the Anantara (more convenient for me to get home). The price is high, but I would still recommend this cruise for people that don't want to be on a big party boat. I don't like crowds and buffets, so this was perfect for me. Of course the sights along the river were beautiful.
