Overview

Head out of Baku and across the Mugan Plain, into nature and en route to explore Azerbaijani culture and drink multiple cups of tea. This group tour includes transport to/from Baku to Lankaran and Lerik, so you don’t need to organize that. Along the way, your driver and guide take you to several scenic and historic stops, like Mayak Lighthouse, the Tower of Zindan, the Khanbulanchay Reservoir, and more.

Highlights and Improvement Proposals

This tour was extremely fulfilling, lasting approximately 14 hours. However, I have two suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the breakfast provided was rather basic, consisting only of bread, eggs, and black tea. I recommend removing breakfast from the itinerary. This adjustment would allow for a later departure time, which might be more convenient for many travelers. Secondly, the time allocated for sightseeing at the lake was too short. We only had 15 minutes to explore the beautiful lake scenery, while the subsequent tea - drinking session by the lake lasted as long as 30 minutes. I suggest eliminating the tea - drinking activity and reallocating this 30 minutes to the lake visit, so that we can spend a total of 45 minutes enjoying the stunning lake view. On a positive note, the tour guide's explanations were very detailed, which greatly enhanced my travel experience.
