I didnt get a tour because i misunderstood the destination/pick up spot on google maps. I thought it was at a different location. I waited for 45min for my tour guide at the wrong location (she was across the street). I didnt have access to wifi to contact her and find out where she was. By the time we found each other 1 hr had already passed from my 2 hr tour. Wasnt worth going downtown at this point for the tour as it takes 20min to get there. So we sat in the lobby and she proceeded to tell me everything i had already watched/listened to online. A total waste of $$. I would suggest a visual picture of the pick up point be sent to attendees so they know where to go exactly. Being a first time visitor i had no idea i was at the wrong location. Very disappointing.

Good dive into Paraguay history

This was a fairly detailed look into some local historical points of interest located around the historic city center. Compared to walking tours I’ve done in other cities there was much less walking involved, but that was largely the result of there being relatively fewer historic sites within easy walking distance of city center. The dozen or so sites that we visited over the 3-hour tour were interesting and important in Paraguay’s national history. Monica was a good guide and knew her topics very thoroughly.

Our guide Monica was very knowledgeable and brought us to places we would never have found on our own, such as the old port and the cultural center. The cultural center has lots of small museums dedicated to aspects of Paraguayan life. Highly recommended this tour!
