Isaak was a great guide for this tour! It was great getting to get out of Asunción for a while and see some of the country. Seeing all of the birds was so much fun and I would definitely recommend for people who enjoy birding and wanting to get out of the city for a bit.

My Guide was Esteban: flexible, solution-oriented, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Heavy rain in the days before made our original itinerary inaccessible, but he had a great alternative site. We had fantastic conversations on the way; I learned a lot about the country, its people, politics, nature, and of course the birds. Highly recommended i got really Great fotos to Share Thais experience with Friends and to remember this adventure— definitely worth it!

This trip has an early start at 530am, but that’s necessary in order to get out to the countryside at daybreak for the best bird-watching. It was worth the early wake-up, as Esteban knew exactly where to go on this huge preserve on the edge of Paraguay’s Chaco. He was a wealth of information on the different bird species, and it was a very enjoyable half-day trip.

This is a nice tour that will allow you to see a lot of birds. The weather heavy affects the places that can be visited and probably the activity should have been rescheduled to a less rainy day. It was still enjoyable though.

Our guide was fantastic. We booked the half day tour and got back after dark after seeing dozens of new birds out on the Chaca. This day was the highlight day of my day in Paraguay. We stopped the car and got out and walked along a dirt road and saw tons of new birds. We had a picnic by the side of the road at dusk, watching a big stork. It was magical. Highly recommended great value for money.

We had an incredible experience on the half-day trip with Esteban, who was extremely friendly and eager to answer all of our questions about the wildlife, culture, and history of the region. We were looking for an opportunity to see a different side of Paraguay away from Asuncion, and this trip surpassed all of our expectations.
Coordinating the trip was extremely easy, as Alberto reached out directly to assist with pick-up times and location. The journey included a relaxing boat ride up the river with drinks and snacks which were much appreciated.
Both Esteban and Alberto were incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, and had keen eyes for pointing out every different species of bird during our journey up the river. We saw a huge variety of birds including parakeets, caracaras, kingfishers, and burrowing owls. We even had the opportunity to see howler monkeys, which was an unexpected surprise.
I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking to see some of the countryside and wildlife outside Asuncion, and will likely bring friends and family on one of their trips again.

Alberto & Steven were my guides and they did an excellent job. I felt very comfortable with both of them at all times, something that I think is important to say especially for a solo female traveler, and they have an immense knowledge of the Paraguayan wildlife and nature. They were also very professional and communicative before and during the activity. Hotel pickup and dropoff was also seamless and the food provided was very nice.
We spotted over 40 species of birds today during our visit to a local Estancia that is a taste of more rural life in Paraguay. Some of the birds required binoculars that they let me borrow, but others were easy to see up close. I don't have a professional camera, so my images are from my phone's camera, but if I did I know I would have been able to get some excellent shots! I couldn't have asked for a better experience that really helped me make the most of having only a few days in Asunción.

I had a magical afternoon birding with Alberto in the humid Chaco. I did the afternoon half-day tour and we saw more than 50 bird species. My favorites were the Campo flickers, Nanday parakeets, and crested caracaras.

This was a really cool experience! I've never birdwatched before, and I had so much fun. Alberto is incredibly knowledgeable about the different birds, and he was a very gracious guide. If you're looking for something outdoorsy, educational, and engaging, this is it!

Alberto is a friendly guide and very knowlegeable about Paraguayan birds and wildlife in general. The tour provided some close up views and sounds of local birds and other animals. Very well organised with car transport and sole food and coffee provided along the way. A must-do activity for anyone interested in Paraguay's abundant natural beauty!

This tour is a must if your in Asuncion!!!The tour guides are knowledgable and love what they do and it makes for a special trip. Í had delicious empanadas in the middle of the palm savannah in the Chaco. The humid Chaco is great and we got to see many birds and nature. Truly recommend. Even had a chance to see the Sun set over the Chaco and a full moon come out. Joseph musialek this tour is a must do!

This trip is well worth the money. Seeing the land and birdlife outside of the city of Ascension made the trip to Paraguay worthwhile
My guide, Isaak, and the driver, Inez, were both very helpful and informative. Isaak was extremely knowledgeable about the birds and plants in the area. He took great photos of the birds and shares them with the clients.

The trip to the Chaco was great! The guides are expert ornithologists and extremely knowledgeable about the area and the local birds. The scenery of this area is very interesting and worth seeing for its own sake. Breakfast was most agreeable. An excellent morning and excellent service.

This was a fantastic tour, and I would recommend it to others. Alberto was an expert and could easily name all of the birds we saw. He was also a great source of information about the Chaco region in general. We chose the early morning option and we’re not disappointed. Saw tons of birds, and also enjoyed the beautiful Chaco countryside. We are not massive bird watchers, but we still highly enjoyed the trip. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the Chaco for a bit during their time in Paraguay.

My guides were very knowledgeable about birds and English was good but the tour itself was disappointing. There was no breakfast other than a bag of store bought chipitas. We spent most of our time driving down a dusty rural road. Yes, I did see birds but this trip was not as advertised and not worth the $160.00 charge.

My sincere apologies about the dissapointing tour!!! Unfortunately we were not able to take you to the farm , where we usually do this tour, as farm´s road was on mantainance. This change of itinerary, I think altered the quality of our tour!! About the breakfast, I will be checking and adjust with the guides!! We usually do a stop on a gas service in our way to the farm, to have a coffe, juice and sandwich, and we take chipitas, usually some soda, and fruits for a midmorning breakfast. Sorry again and really expect that in the future we could offer you a better services.
