It is a fun experience and the food is very good. I loved all the performers. I would have enjoyed more dancing or something from the performance, but overall worth the price.

What experience? They lacked entertainment. Dancer barely danced just flapping his wings and kneeling., and couldn’t barely blow the blower. The show was a failure. No interacting with the audience. They played an AI film explaining the history or the Myans(boring). The waiter seemed drunk, could barely remember to get anything I asked for such as having to ask for water, and a straw for my water (which he never did bring it, another waiter brought straw after 20mins of being seated, my drink was forgotten about ( then close to end of show after being reminded he brought it, a table cloth (promised due to birthday) was never brought, AND BY THE TIME THE SHOW WAS OVER , OUR FOOD STILL DID NOT ARRIVE!!! We had to cancel our food because event ended & our taxi was due back , we left there HUNGRY! And so did 3 other couples whose food also did not arrive and they cancelled theirs as well. This experience was slow, boring & a complete waste of time and money! They claimed to had been trying something NEW, and they Apologized for the POOR SERVICE TONIGHT! THIS WAS A WASTE OF THE MONEY WE PAID VIATOR $18 AND A WASTE OF GAS MONEY $40 USD to travel to & from the event. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST A REFUND FOR SUCH AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND WASTED NIGHT! THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Terrible. There was a drummer and couple of dancers in traditional dress. I didn’t learn anything and the service was very poor. Our drinks came 20 minutes a part and our SALADS never showed up. There was a video that played AI generated images but no personal experience. Very disappointing. Then the host requested that the patrons leave a good review. Not gonna happen.

The food was very good. The show ... lots of video and music sound effects. Performance a little hokey. But was a fun experience.

I was expecting for a more interactive performance, Instead of videos. The video was difficult to see from our table (table six). The video was faster than the food/drink being delivered. Would have been great to have had the last drink ahead of time so we could all meditate as we returned from the underworld as described in the video. Loved the message of the entire experience. Overall, we did enjoy the performance and the food.

I enjoyed the ambiance, however the experience was very average. I got lost in the storyline, and the food was not the best. The directions to the establishment was very unclear and caused my friends and I to be 10 minutes late, though we were exactly 3 minutes away....the beverages were good, however it did not come with the price of the excursion -- soft beverages should've been included (in my opinion) -- wasnt worth the $75

The food and staff were wonderful. I apologize, first for writing a bad review but when you travel so far and pay $90 per person, it was just a total waste of time and money. The AI video was terrible, and guy running it had to jump in multiple times, I do feel bad for writing this because of the staff and food, but it was not great.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We genuinely appreciate your kind words about our food and staff—they’re the heartbeat of our experience, and it truly means so much to them to know they made a positive impression on you!
We also want to acknowledge the disappointment you felt with certain elements of the Maya Dinner Experience. Our goal is to weave a magical evening that blends the rich culture of the Maya with storytelling, flavors, and ambiance. It’s clear that the magic didn’t shine through for you the way we intended, and for that, we sincerely apologize. We hear you. writing a review is like casting a spell: once it’s out there, it’s out there. So, no need to feel bad. You’ve shared your truth, and we’ll use it to keep refining our craft. After all, even the best magic needs a little fine-tuning now and then.
You see, “the magic is in you”—that’s the heart of the evening. Sometimes, it takes a perfect mix of timing, mood, and connection for that magic to sparkle just right. The AI video and narration were imagined as bridges to the stories, but they may have taken you out of the moment instead of drawing you in. We're taking your feedback to heart to reimagine those moments so they flow more naturally and enchant each guest the way they’re meant to.
Thank you for dining with us and allowing us to share a small piece of Maya storytelling with you.
Warm regards,
The Lina Point Team

The performance was amazing and the decor so beautiful. Every staff was kind and interactive with the crowd.

Our group attended the Mayan dinner experience in Belize with hopes to experience the food and culture, but unfortunately, it did not meet that criteria. The food did not feel authentically Belizean, consisting mainly of tamales, tacos, and cinnamon rolls. While we understand dietary restrictions can pose challenges, the vegetarian substitute was simply unseasoned vegetables in a taco with no sauce, and the fish and sweet potato taco was replaced with just sweet potatoes, which felt lacking. Given the price, we may have preferred the brunch option instead for the amount of food we had.
The cultural representation was also disappointing. The experience relied on a ai video about Mayan mythology, but its accuracy was questionable. Additionally, the audio frequently cut in and out, making it difficult to follow, and the production felt homemade. The seating arrangement was another issue—unless you turned your chair around, it was hard to see the video or the live performers.
If you’re unfamiliar with Mayan culture, you might find the experience interesting. However, for those with even a basic understanding, the presentation feels inaccurate and could be seen as disrespectful.
Overall, while we appreciate the effort to provide a cultural dining experience, we feel it could be significantly improved in terms of authenticity, food quality, and presentation.

Apparently this was just their second "show" and it was obvious. Very low budget. The main guy telling the story could barely lip sync to the narration correctly. They basically played a you tube video or something in a big screen and they had a few people dressed up and they just did a little dance and told a little story. The we ate some food. The trip is advertised to have 10 courses. That is not true. We had 7. I have a picture of the courses. Food was good besides both my husband and daughter had bones in their pork. We have traveled a lot and have done many excursions and this one is not something we would do again. Stinks because Belize really doesn't have anything else like this, so it would be awesome if they could make it something really amazing!

Dear [Reviewer’s Name],
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with The Maya Dinner Experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and are committed to improving every aspect of what we offer.
First, I want to sincerely apologize if we fell short of your expectations. As you correctly noted, this is a relatively new experience for us, and while we’re proud to share the rich history and culture of the Maya people, we recognize that there are areas where we need to improve.
Regarding the show, we are working hard to refine both the storytelling elements and the overall production. Your comments about the narration and synchronization have been noted, and we’ll take them into account as we continue to improve the flow and presentation to create a more immersive and enjoyable experience for our guests.
In terms of the food, I’d like to apologize for the miscommunication about the number of courses. The experience is designed to have multiple small tasting portions to reflect the dishes' traditional and cultural elements, but we will review our descriptions to ensure they reflect your expectations accurately. I also deeply regret that bones in the pork were an issue for your family. We take food quality very seriously, and I’ll be reviewing our kitchen practices to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.
Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we’re genuinely grateful for your encouragement to make this experience something truly spectacular. Belize has an incredibly rich heritage, and it’s our mission to celebrate that in a way that resonates with visitors like yourself. Your review highlights areas that we can focus on as we grow and improve, and we hope that you’ll notice changes over time.
If you’re ever back in Belize in the future, I’d love for you to give us another chance to show you just how much we’ve improved. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at [contact info] if there’s anything else we can do for you—we truly appreciate the opportunity to learn and improve from your experience.
Thank you again for your honest and thoughtful feedback.
