Amazing time with the guides and the camels! Such a unique and fun experience! Bucket list activity! Great communication regarding taxi and meeting place and enjoyed the green tea and Moroccan baked treat once we dismounted the camel.

This is a real experience. This is not a foo foo ride in a park!
You will have your eyes opened as to the real Agadir. And the BABY!!!
So adorable, weaving in and out of the other camels trying to keep up with mama. On a side note since we rode the camels in the afternoon ( because we had a different tour in the morning) they went out of their way to have a taxi pick us up at a designated location and then the same taxi take us back to the ship afterwards.

We had a great experience start to finish. Communication prior to our event day was great, including a picture of the taxi that would pick us up. The camel ride was about 1.5 hrs long, well worth the cost. Everyone from the taxi driver to the camel ranch team were friendly and helpful. They offered to take pictures of us and assist anyway we needed. It was an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend it to others. You may be a bit sore the next day, but worth it! The young 5 month old camel that followed our group was a cutie.

Had a great camel ride in Agadir. Best to book this with a tour operator like Viator over using the ship, which will charge you a ton more. We rode for a good hour. My 22-year-old daughter said it was the highlight of the cruise (along with enjoying beverages). The drivers were great. You get dress in traditional garb. The taxi from the ship to the tour site was 5-7 euros pp.

The event coordinator was excellent at communicating with us. She made sure we had taxis arranged at the cruise port and the taxis would pick us up right at the ship. This transportation help made the experience start right! The dress for costumes and camel ride was fun! Again, the event coordinator was helpful in getting us outfitted and up on the camel.
After the event, the taxi that brought us to the event offered to take us around the city of Agadir. The event coordinator worked with him to make sure it was a fair price.
The camel event took about 2 hours and we have great memories and photos from the experience.
I wish I could remember the name of the lovely lady who was our event coordinator. It was the daughter, and she was an excellent communicator, very helpful, and made our experience wonderful.

It's difficult to get from the port to the place. You have to walk about 2.5 miles to get out of the port, to get your taxi. The camel ride was great and the people wonderful.

At the same time, we want to sincerely apologize for the difficulty you experienced getting from the port. The situation you described was due to a last-minute, unforeseen decision by the port authorities to deny entry to the drivers we had arranged—an issue we had never faced before. This forced us to ask our guests to walk to the main gate, and we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this caused.
To provide more clarity for you and future guests: transportation is not included in our tour price. However, to help our guests avoid the very high taxi fares inside the port (which can exceed 60 euros), we offer to arrange a ride with trusted local drivers.
We want to be very clear that we do not make any profit or commission from this.
The cost is a flat rate of 30 euros round-trip for the entire taxi, paid directly to the driver, and this cost is shared among the passengers (often just 5 euros per person). It is simply a service we provide to ensure our guests get a fair price.
We are dedicated to providing a seamless shore excursion for all passengers visiting Agadir, whether they arrive on the MSC Virtuosa, Costa Fascinosa, Regal Princess, or any other ship. Your experience has pushed us to create even better contingency plans for such rare events.

We were told that our ride would meet us at the main gate to the cruise ship port, as he was not permitted to enter the port. None of the taxis at the port would take us to the main gate. It was about a 30 minute walk to reach it. And that was after a lot of confusion and misinformation about where the main gate was. We were about an hour late getting to the main gate, but surprisingly our driver waited for us, even though he had 4 others in the taxi.
It was very fun to ride a camel, but an hour and a half on a camel is about an hour too long. Mostly because there was nothing worth looking at the whole time. The guides were very welcoming and friendly. We were served tea and cookies at the end. We then negotiated with the driver to give us a mini tour of Agadir before taking us back to the ship. All in all, we were happy with our experience.

I would like to personally address the initial confusion and delay you experienced at the Port of Agadir. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the frustration this caused. This is absolutely not the standard of service we strive to provide at Dar Souss Loisir.
To give you and future guests some context, our tour's official meeting point is at our ranch in Bensergao, and the pickup is not included in the tour price. However, we are aware that taxis waiting inside the port often charge upwards of 60 euros for the trip. To help our guests avoid these excessive fares, we offer to arrange transportation as a courtesy.
It's important for us to clarify that we do not own these taxis, nor do we make any profit from this arrangement.
We simply connect our guests with honest, local drivers we trust, who offer a fair price of 30 euros for the entire vehicle (which can be shared by up to 6 people, making it about 5 euros each). This is purely a service to ensure our guests have a safe, affordable, and pleasant start to their experience.
On the day of your tour, in a very unusual and unexpected turn of events, the port authorities changed their policy at the last minute and denied entry to the driver we had arranged. This was the first time we have ever encountered this issue. Your ship was also docked at quay 6, which is farther from the main gate than usual. Our only option was to contact all 6 guests individually to guide them to the main port entrance where the driver was forced to wait.
We are truly sorry that our communication didn't reach you effectively in the midst of this unforeseen situation. We have already learned from this incident and are implementing a better backup communication plan for such rare events.
We are so glad your driver waited for you and that you were able to enjoy the camel ride, which is indeed a unique way to experience the landscapes around Agadir.

This is a real good experience. It will, most likely, be longer than you think. Unless you use “those muscles” expect to have aches and pains for a day or so (depending on your age). The guide had excellent control of the camels - even when they got a bit fussy. The family (Mom & Kids) were really nice and hustled to get you sanitizer & tea at the end. Be prepared for “flies everywhere”. Outhouse is rustic.

Pier pickup and communication was excellent.
Camel riding is a great whole body workout so be prepared.
The traditional dress offered to clients really added to the experience as did the tea and cookies.

Very well organized from the pickup at the port to the drop off at the port. Loved getting dressed in traditional Morrocan attire. Cab driver was gracious to take us to photo spot for the mosque but the extra walk was to a merchandise presentation ( which we promptly declined to participate in).

First of all, I'd like to thank you very much for your interest in our service and for your visit to our "camel ride in Agadir", the only service we've been selling since 2005. Why do I insist on the word "the only" service? Because we're against those who market this camel ride to sell other excursions and other products (besides, there are many tourist transport companies that also sell camel rides, they bring their customers to the ranch where we organize our activity and in this case the camel is only a bait for other much more expensive sales...!!).
Thank you especially for mentioning that the cab driver took you to the mosque (it should be pointed out that you had asked him to take you there) but we are against him offering to buy anything at the end of our "camel ride". You did well to let us know because I'm going to warn our potential customers right away, in our descriptions, to refuse to buy anything in the rare cases where customers ask cab drivers to drop them off either at the souk elhad (Agadir's big souk) or at Agadir's grand mosque.
One last thing we should point out: transport is not included in our camel trek. The meeting point is Bensergao, but if the customer goes and gets a cab himself it will be too expensive, so we send a cab at the lowest price for our customers.
