Overview
Ride off into the sunset aboard a camel with this guided tour. You'll take a trip over dunes and along the Oued Souss River, where you may see all sorts of wild birds, from flamingos to egrets. Pick up was OK, however we were crammed into a people carrier with 3 other couples from various hotels, it seems nobody has air con in any of the cars, we were sat in the back and the journey was very uncomfortable, having to make several stops to pick other people up increased journey time and we were glad to get there after baking in the back of the car for over 40 mins. Upon arrival we were taken to some open space with around 60 other people. We had booked for a camel each, this became impossible due to the amount of people they had booked onto the excursion. They were putting 2 adults per camel. The camels seemed absolutely exhausted and some were reluctant to stand, they kept collapsing on the floor, and I felt really sorry for them, they seemed very over worked. Everyone then had photos taken, which delayed the ride, and once we were on our camel we were sat in the baking heat waiting. The ride itself was very long, just over 2 hours, which we weren't expecting. Again felt very sorry for the camels and I wouldn't personally do it again. Our guide was friendly and funny and kept us entertained throughout the journey. We reached the souss river and not a flamingo in sight as advertised, just several locals who all seemed fascinated by tourists and all got their camera phones out to film us which was a bit uncomfortable. There was a local man selling drinks who was pushing us to buy, buy we passed. We made our way back after sunset and we're dropped in a mini village, we were encouraged to tip the guides. We were all put into a large tent and served our barbecue. This consisted of a tiny salad starter, mint tea, bread, a ginger cookie, and a large plate shared between 10 of us which has cous cous, carrots, potato, cabbage, and chicken. It wasn't to our liking but we ate a little. Another guide came around with the packs of photos we had taken before the start of our journey and wanted paying for them, we decided not to as they were blurred and not the best quality. We were then encouraged to tip the lady who had made the food, she stood at the exit of the tent waiting which made us feel obliged, we hadn't taken a lot of money with us due to having everything included in the price, they seemed a little put out we couldn't tip. At the end we left the tent and had to wait for our lift back to the hotel but the driver wasn't there so a local guide had to take us, again with 3 other couples. Luckily by now the sun had set and it wasn't as hot in the car back. All in all it was OK but we wouldn't do it again just out of compassion for the camels.

The ride itself went through some nice routes, and we also went by the beach; it felt a little bit too long, and we were a bit tired by the end of it. I would've been happy with the ride being half the length, but the food was really good at the end, and the tour guides were lovely. The food was Moroccan cuisine and also had some BBQ. You also get some traditional tea to start with before you sit down at the tables for food. Still, a good experience overall would recommend it.

45 minutes of waiting for the ride, two people per camel, sunset, you have to forget it.

I went with my two sons (22 & 16) and we were expecting to have a camel each, but I was made to go with my youngest son. It was very uncomfortable having to sit behind him. So I would recommend that you book adult tickets so you get a camel each. Overall it was a great experience, but it is long, and dinner wasn’t until about 930 (we arrived at 6). The guides were great at stopping for photo opportunities but there was no water until we had dinner, so take some with you! Dinner was nice, and the hosts were very friendly. I’m glad I experienced it, but would I do it again, probably not.

Lovely group ride toward the River Sous, great tour guides speaking fluent French & English. Interact with group & provide information about the camels. Guides happy to take photos, ride didn't quite last until sunset, however we were out a few hours . Offers to take photo's on own photos, and traditional Morocco good was provided in a tent with tea. Has a great time & would recommend. More fun was had as awe were quite a large group of about 20 of us

Our guide was very friendly, laughing and singing. Could have given more information about the places we were riding through other than just "this is the palace". I did feel the title was a bit misleading.. We expected to ride out into the desert, stop and have a bbq under the sunset and then ride back. The reality was a ride out along the Souss River and ride back then have a meal in a berber house. The food was beautiful though

This was a bit of a let down to be honest, what is advertised as a 3.5hour trip was not.
We arrived and sat around for 50 mins befor moving off by this time the sun was already very low. We were only on a camel for 45 mins the ride was through a bit of scrub ground to a car park and back not over the beach or dunes like the photos imply.
The BBQ food was nice, and lots of it.
The staff are very helpful but the trip definitely needs a rethink or just to be broken in to smaller groups.
Make sure you take big spray as you will be eaten alive in the evening.

The taxi driver collected us on time, we were given tea when we arrived, the people were really nice, toilet was available. The men knew how to make us feel safe, the camel ride is long but worth it. I was scared to get on but once on the camel the camel walks slowly. Many opportunities for photo, the food at the end was delicious: from starter-main-fruits at the end.
The weather was great not too hot as it was the evening. Definitely worth the money.

Embora tenha gostado do passeio de Camelo pela experiência, tal como a comida no final, não se pode chamar propriamente um churrasco. É servida uma carne realmente grelhada e com sabor, mas se esperam ver uma churrasqueira não, somos colocados numa tenda e a comida é servida. Foi giro pela tenda, nada mais. Quanto ao passeio, é um caminho sujo e feio, sendo só bonito no final por 5 minutos. Para terem noção passam por uma zona militar. Gostei pela experiência do camelo, hospitalidade, mas sinceramente não recomendo.

Não foi o que esperava! O passeio não é na praia,mas sim pelo meio do mato,quase não víamos o pôr do sol...demora muito tempo até a caravana de camelos partir. O churrasco é farto ,mas o ambiente não é agradável, aqui tem muito haver com quem se senta na tua mesa... Não gostei!

Grosse déception sur la ballade : vue sur le bidonville jusqu'à un oued chargé de détritus. Quelques flamand roses à 800m.
Le couscous était bon, mais pas vraiment un tente typique berbère. Entassé à 30...

Ha sido una experiencia muy bonita. El entorno no es de lo más exótico, pero la gente es súper amable y simpáticos. El sitio en sí es bonito. Mi camello era el mejor ☺️ Pero pienso que los podrían cuidar un poco más. La barbacoa no es lo que se dice una barbacoa, en realidad sirven un plato de ensalada, un plato de cuscús buenísimo con algo de carne y muuucha verdura y luego sacan una especie de albóndigas (a falta de una palabra mejor) de carne que están hechas a la brasa y están de muerte. De postre sandía.
En general, muy bien. ScoobyDoo es el mejor.

Super expérience ! Le guide était très gentil, nous sommes généralement 2 par chameaux, le repas par la suite était très bon, un bon couscous, de la grillade, et des fruits pour finir, merci à vous !

Recogida en el hotel puntual, mucha gente en el campamento esperando y teniendo que compartir dromedario (2 personas por animal), bonito paseo por la zona. Cena escasa, escasa, lo de la barbacoa es de risa, la cantidad irrisoria, mesa de 8 personas, apretujados, 2 botellas de agua para toda la cena, si quieres algún refresco de pago.. claro. La excursión costaba 38 euros por persona, que creo que está bien pero es que además te pedían dinero de propina para los guías, la camarera, etc.. Te hacían una fotos montados en los camellos claro está de pago, eso sí voluntario

Loin de la photo carte postale le coucher de soleil se fait au bord d’une digue bétonnée pas du tout glamour avec voiture et béton

Superbe rencontre humain avec lahcen le chamelier .
Le repas était très bon , et n’oublions pas scoubidou et chocolat les deux dromadaires .
