This self-guided Isle of Skye road trip is designed to help you understand how the island fits together, rather than leaving you to piece routes together yourself. The guide combines scenic driving routes, key viewpoints and practical touring structure so you can experience Skye’s landscapes without rushing. You’ll follow two connected touring loops covering the Trotternish Peninsula, the Cuillin mountains, the west coast and the quieter Sleat Peninsula — revealing how Skye’s cliffs, harbours, mountain passes and remote peninsulas link into one coherent journey. Each section includes clear route progression, narrative context and flexible time-based planning ideas, helping you decide what fits into a day, a short break or a longer island stay. Instead of a rigid itinerary, the guide provides a framework you can adapt around weather, walking plans and ferry connections.

This self-guided Highlands road trip is designed to show how the landscapes of northern Scotland connect into one coherent journey rather than a single coastal loop. Slow portrait sessions are a personal experience which result in a one-of-a-kind nuanced and organic portrait. These portraits capture more than just a physical appearance. The nature of these sessions build anticipation. There’s a sense of presence in the moment rarely experienced in digital sessions. The images have an organic, grainy texture and unique tonal rendition. This adds a certain timelessness to the portrait. The process requires patience, as the outcome isn’t immediate. You and I will share a moment of mystery waiting for it to develop. Whilst we wait you will learn about the important place Edinburgh holds in the development of photography. When it's ready It feels like you’ve captured something enduring which creates an unbroken thread between now and the past. The entire experience is meditative and artistic, often resulting in a portrait that feels deeply personal and emotionally resonant.

We will leave in the morning and make a stop somewhere near Callander. Callander will be a chance to use the toilet, stretch your legs, and get out of the car for a few minutes. Once we arrive in Glencoe, we'll stop at Rannoch Moor and enjoy the fascinating scenery. We'll then continue driving to make a short but more challenging walk to the Glencoe Waterfalls. Further up the waterfalls is the famous Meeting of the Three Waters, which you can also see from the A82 as we pass by. Your next stop will be near Lagangarbh Hut, better known as the wee white house, where we'll park and walk up for some photos. After this, we'll put our walking boots back on and head a little further along the River Coupall for some more photos. We'll take our time, so don't worry if you're not a 'big walker'. Once we're all done, we can visit the Glencoe Visitor Centre if you'd like. We can eat here, use the toilet, visit an old house, and then make our way back to the charming city centre of Edinburgh.

This isn’t just a couples’ photoshoot—it’s an opportunity to step into your own romantic fantasy. Set against the dramatic ruins of Craigmillar Castle, this experience creates an atmospheric experience inspired by romance, fantasy, and epic love stories. Rather than simply posing for photos, you’ll be guided through the whole shoot and its surroundings to create images that feel like scenes from a story written about the two of you. You can even choose pieces from my client closet of romantic and fantasy-inspired outfits, allowing you to completely transform the look and feel of your session. It’s a chance to slow down, dress up, explore somewhere extraordinary, and create photographs that feel uniquely yours.
