What a fantastic experience with Timberbush Tours! From start to finish, our Isle of Skye adventure was exceptionally well organized, with breathtaking scenery, fascinating history and plenty of memorable stops along the way. Our tour guide Jason was outstanding! Engaging, incredibly knowledgeable and full of interesting stories about Scotland’s history, culture and landmarks. The commentary throughout the journey made the experience so much more enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly paced, taking us from the beautiful Eilean Donan Castle to the colourful harbour of Portree, the dramatic Old Man of Storr and the spectacular Kilt Rock. Each stop offered plenty of time to explore, take photographs and enjoy the scenery without ever feeling rushed. Bathroom and refreshment breaks were thoughtfully scheduled, making a full day of sightseeing comfortable and relaxing. Timberbush really knows how to deliver a memorable Scottish adventure. A wonderful combination of spectacular landscapes, great storytelling and thoughtful planning. Five stars and an enthusiastic recommendation to anyone looking to experience the magic of the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye!

This was a perfect way to spend a day in the Inverness area! Our guide Sonia was wonderful, with loads of Scottish charm. We learned so much and also had the best time experiencing as much of the Highlands as we could in a day. The itinerary was perfect with plenty of toilet and cafe stops along the way, although be warned that a lot of shops and restaurants are closed on Sunday if that ends up being the day you go. It was a little stressful to make time for lunch due to this but it all worked out! Highly recommend.

What a great day out loads of added information on Scotland driver Charlie was excellent couldn't do enough for you I think everyone on the bus was really happy would definitely recommend this tour for anyone either visiting or staying to try it you won't be disappointed

Took this tour on our honeymoon in Scotland and David was an amazing tour guide! He was so knowledgeable not just regarding the various sites on the tour but also about Scotland history in general. (People on our tour would often ask questions on the fly and we were astonished how quickly David could provide the answer!) Rosslyn Chapel was breath taking- the history, the architecture, and medieval mysteries! We mainly took this trip for Rosslyn Chapel ( because it was rumored to be a spot with buried Templar treasures) but we were pleasantly surprised how much we loved Melrose Abbey - such an incredible stop! The ruins are so beautiful and there is so much freedom to walk around and explore, see Robert the Bruce’s heart, and even climb to the top of a bell tower! We visited in September and although Rosslyn Chapel was a bit crowded, Melrose Abbey had very few visitors when we were there. It was like going back in time and discovering the old abbey ourselves. This was one of our favorite tours on our trip to Scotland. Again, our tour guide David was funny, knowledgeable, and an all around amazing tour guide! Cannot recommend David or this trip enough!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute MUST for Outlander Fans! This Outlander Tour was everything a fan could ask for and more! From beginning to end, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Ryan, was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history, behind-the-scenes information, and fun facts throughout the day. One of my favorite touches was that when he wasn’t sharing stories with us, he played music from Outlander while we drove between locations. It made the whole experience feel even more special and completely immersed us in the world of Outlander. If you’re a die-hard Outlander fan, this is the tour for you! Seeing the actual filming locations in person was incredible, and I highly recommend purchasing the option that allows you to go inside the castles. It is absolutely worth it and adds so much to the experience. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. We loved every minute of it and would highly recommend this tour — and Ryan — to any Outlander fan! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Keep in mind, George is navigating Highland roads (if you like roller coasters, wee!) AND delivering fantastic lore and historical facts AT THE SAME TIME! If you don't become enamored with his brrrogue or (our new Spotified) playlist, you'll love his funny, macabre, and deep cut history of Scotland. The trip is an ever-giving testament to the deeper than Loch Ness depth of character and strength of the Scottish people. I was trying to put a name to what I had long detected in friends and acquaintances from Scotland and, when George said it, it hit immediately. The Scottish are not afraid of mortality AND they hit FAR above their weight. This comes across as an authenticity not seen in many. I enjoy "Edin-bra" immensely, walkable, easily accessible and replenishing for the soul - this extends to this trip, as well. George is merciful on the need for replenishments and the bladder, there are many pit stops at perfect intervals. He knows all the instagrammable spots and it's mind-blowing how many films have chosen the Highlands as backdrops, but you'll see and understand why. Have mercy on George though - he is against a tight schedule to get YOU to the sites you want to see on time and those locations don't stop for anyone, not even the tours. You want to catch the cruise? Keep to HIS timetable. Glencoe is gorgeous, perfectly Scotland-weathered (bring rain gear/umbrella and something warm), Urquhart Castle reminds me of another medieval castle from my home country, Château Gaillard, loved being able to compare and store memories of both. The Loch is shockingly deep, I had no idea and learned a lot from the cruise (while my teen made fun of it, he appreciated it and that there are folks who BELIEVE!). The bus was comfortable, sleepy folks will benefit from a neck pillow. I typically have a few carsick family members - they experienced zero symptoms on this trip. We read the trip instructions and purchased food the night before for the trip (there are Lidl's, etc in Edinburgh for stocking up), so were ready to roll every time needed. Frustratingly, there were always a couple of folks/groups who consistently pushed the group's timetable for extended photographic moments (hard to believe when there was SO much time given for these at each stop). Consideration for other travelers AND the tour guide goes a long way! There is beyond plenty of time given for restroom, photography, food/drink at every stop - just no reason to return to the bus late, unless emergency-related. Throughout the trip, I became convinced that everyone in Scotland must be a singer - the lilting manner of delivering even the vivid death of William Wallace sounds like a melody. Try to fight your sleepiness upon returning to Edinburgh because George has an amazing trove of facts specific to the city as you return. It's incredible how much has come from Scotland, not an immensely populated area, but a birthplace of ideas, inventions, and entrepreneurs. Thank you, George, for sharing the Highlands with us, heralding us safely there and back, managing the Loch "Stress" of keeping us rambunctious tourists on track, and leaving us with the story of Scotland's unbreakable spirit. As a side note: we tipped using US dollars (apologies for the terrible exchange rate, it was all we had on hand!). Of all tours taken in the UK, this one deserved a sign of appreciation and more.

Great tour of the highlands to get a sense of the area. Nick was a fantastic driver and guide. He navigated some tricky driving situations well and entertained us with helpful historical context and stories about the areas that brought them more to life. There’s a lot of time on the bus, but the day flies by, particularly with a good guide like Nick. There is a lunch stop with a McDonalds, grocery store, and a few cafes.

Great tour! Our Driver, Tim, was awesome! He shared a ton of information about Scotland and the Isle of Skye including geological history and anthropological history of the area. There are plenty of stops throughout the day so that you aren’t on the bus for long periods of time without an opportunity to stretch your legs. Very glad we did this tour!
