What are people saying about Romania

Great tour - exactly as billed
Steffan was a great guide. He delivered commentary in English and Spanish and had the plan down to a science. We bought castle tickets for the timeslots mentioned in the details and everything worked perfectly. I felt sorry for those that did not buy tickets in advance because Peles was sold out.

Andreea was so...
Andreea was so knowledgeable and passionate about her home town of Bucharest and it showed. She provided us a great variety of foods that are cultural staples in the Romanian diet and took the time to share with us some important historical facts as we made our way through the city, which we really appreciated. It was such a great tour and very well thought out.

Long day, but worth seeing the castles!
It is a long day but worth it to see the castles. Pele’s castle was especially amazing. Bram Castle was nice if you wanted to think about the book Dracula. But remember there was no real vampire and the story didn’t happen at that castle. To make it a shorter day we could’ve skipped the city Braşov. We had particularly bad traffic because it was a Sunday and nice weather. It took a long time to get there and get it back. We managed to get back by 9 o’clock at night. Our guide Serban was very knowledgeable and kept us on track to get back at a reasonable hour.

A good way to see the major sites outside Bucharest
This tour is a great way to see the major cities reachable within a day trip from Bucharest. We traveled in a comfortable double decker bus (but I think that depends each day). Our guide made sure we got to all the places in time….there was a traffic accident that risked delaying us so he made sure we rerouted the trip accordingly.
The tour company will offer to get entry tickets to the two palaces for you (optional) and you just pay by cash or card on the bus. Peles was definitely worth entering…but Bran honestly felt a bit less interesting. At least for me.
When you get to Braşov, I’d warmly recommend you to spend some time at Juno Wine Garden!

Wonderful experience. Matthias our guide was great
Absolutely wonderful. Lots of history lessons and our guide, Matthias, made sure we all felt welcomed and we were in business safely after each stop. He even helped a few of us who didn’t have tickets to enter castle find tickets. His welcoming nature made our Romanian vacation worthwhile. Our guide spoke like 5 languages everyone was impressed. We loved Romania and hope to return someday soon. Wonderful country , people and great guide.

Very nice day trip
Very nice day trip from Bucharest to Bulgaria. Did it on 14/7/26 and had a really nice time. The guide was very friendly, super knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. Especially the town of Veliko Tarnovo is beautiful; good place for a lunch and a stroll through the streets. All in all a very positive experience that I can recommend

Nice tour and friendly guide
Great experience.
My favorite part was Peles Castle and the Sinaia Monastery.
Bran Castle is ok but don't have extreme high hopes, it's a nice Castle.
Our guide, Vali, was very friendly.
The traffic from Bran to Peles was 2h so plan something to eat, there is not a lot of time to buy something.

Momorable Visit to Transylvania
If you sign up for this, ask for Christian. He was spectacular! His advice and guidance were amazing and spot on! He got us to places early, told us where to eat, and filled us in on Romania's history. His advice was invaluable! Be sure to book the extension into the Carpathian Mountains. You will not regret it. The views were amazing while driving up the mountains. And on the way down, through the bear sanctuary, we saw big brown bears, not one but 9 (including a mother bear with cubs) right on the side of the road. Our experience with him remains the most memorable experience in Eastern Europe. One caveat, however. The tour company, booked us into a hotel in Brasov to which I would give 0 stars. No air conditioning, no screens on windows, no shower curtain, no bathtub stopper, no nothing and no refund. It was so bad that we left and booked ourselves into a different hotel for the night. If you book this tour, research the hotel to make sure it is a place you want to stay.
Once again, don't miss the opportunity to experience Transylvania through the eyes of Christian. It will be a lasting memory for you.

Fantastic Day Out of the City
This day trip was perfect. We had a private car, although a little tight in the back. The castles were very interesting, lunch was fabulous and the walk through Braşov was fantastic. We hit traffic coming back into Bucharest, so we detoured through the mountains which had stunning views.

This is the tour you do not want to miss
This trip was everything stated in the itinerary and more. If you are thinking about this trip then you already want to see some of the key sites. What made this trip different, was our tour guide. Cristian was wonderful! His knowledge of the country, its history, and more made this trip relaxing, informative and fun. Spending essentially the entire day with him was pleasant with his outgoing personality and flexible approach.

10 out 10!
This tour was a perfect mix of local history and local food. We really enjoyed the overall experience. It was a private tour so we moved at our own pace. Our tour guide was easy to be with, he was very knowledgeable and kind and showed us the most interesting landmarks and the best local food. She spoke great English. I found my new favorite dessert! Highly recommend as an introduction to Bucharest. It was the perfect way to start our vacation.
