This is a self-guided exploration game where you'll be solving a paranormal case involving real people and their wandering ghosts. The file on Bucharest's old centre has been open since 1967. You, with your detective and observational skills, and a little help from the Questo app, will try to close it in 2 hours. The route runs from Cismigiu Garden along Calea Victoriei to the Old Town, past 13 of the city's darkest addresses. Your job is to hear out the dead and check their stories against the record. You'll discover dark stories like a church the crowd carried home brick by brick, a plague cart-man who lost one of his dead, and a widow who hid a prince's grave for 194 years. Each location involves inspecting a real-world object and solving a challenge. Best after dark with your phone torch on. About 3.2 km of walking, with unlimited breaks. Hints and 24/7 support if you get stuck. Perfect for Halloween or any night you're in the mood for creepy ghost stories.

The dead of Cluj have been moved at least four times. They began in the churchyard by the Franciscans, went under Piața Unirii, then into the ditch below the city wall, and finally up the hill to Hajongard. This self-guided ghost walk follows them. The Questo app gives you a case file on the old town, open since 1949, and a simple brief: check what the dead say against what the city wrote down. Cluj wrote down a lot. It kept the itemised bill for executing General Baba Novac in 1601, down to the two florins paid for carving the stake. It recorded the 1565 trial of a midwife sentenced to burn "at the usual place", and never noted where that was. You'll walk from Babos Palace past the house where Matthias Corvinus was born, across Piața Unirii, along the old wall on Strada Potaissa and through the Central Cemetery, solving a puzzle at each of 13 stops. Plan on two hours for roughly 2.6 km, ideally after dark. Hints are built in, and support answers around the clock.
