What are people saying about Paris

Highly recommend! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job of keeping the entire group together. I have been on other tours where members of the group were left behind, but our host was very attentive. The headphones made it very easy to hear what she was saying, even as we were walking, having someone who is familiar with the layout definitely made visiting the live of less intimidating experience.

Perfect day drinking champagne!
My husband and I did this full day trip from Paris and we loved it! It’s a long day but it was not tiring because you’re not constantly on your feet. It’s actually a very relaxing day (over 4 hours is strictly just driving time from/to Paris). Cedric was our guide and he was awesome! He spoke great English and was super personable and attentive. He communicated to us the day before what time he was picking us up from our hotel (we were 1st at 7:30) and then we proceeded to pick up another group of 4 and were on our way. Cedric had a bag of various flavored fresh croissants and bottled water for breakfast, which was so nice with an early start. I’m sure the route depends on which Champagne houses are open on the day you visit. We first started with Mumm in Reims. Before we went there, we had about 20 minutes to visit the Reims Cathedral, which was a treat and one of the coolest looking Cathedrals we saw while in France for 2 weeks. The tour at Mumm was very in depth and lasted about an hour. Note that it wouldn’t be good for anyone with mobility issues. Mumm was huge! After the tour, we had 1 tasting. Then we proceeded to a family owned champagne house called Domaine Julien Chopin in Monthelon. Part of the fun of the trip was the scenery during your drive. At Julien Chopin, we had a really nice lunch that started with some yummy toast points with duck, then chicken with mushroom sauce and wild rice, and various macaroons for dessert. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. During this, we had 3 variations of champagne or drinks mixed with champagne. The last place we went was a cooperative called Dom Caudron in Passy-Grigny. We did a small tour of the more modern facility and they also had a museum there. Then we tasted 5 different champagnes there. From a timing perspective, we left our hotel at 7:30 and arrived back at the stated dropoff location at 5:00. There were plenty of taxis right there that you could use to get back home if you didn’t want to walk. The hotel pick up was the part that was key, though. It was a really great day and we got to see some pretty countryside and taste a lot of good champagne with a yummy lunch. Cedric was a perfect guide! I would highly recommend!

Visiting Normandy D-day...
Visiting Normandy D-day beaches has long been on my bucket list and this day trip from Paris is an excellent way to do it. Granted, it’s a long day but everything is taken care of and there is plenty of time on the bus for the guide to give lots of historical facts that you might not know. Our guide, Maja, was particularly knowledgeable and you can tell she is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm with the group. Midday meal was quite good at a harborside restaurant run by locals who take pride in both quality of food and quick/efficient service.

Fun and Informative
This is an excellent way to introduce yourself to Paris. Our guide Guy was phenomenal: high energy, interesting and interested in everyone. He made the tour. He told us tips on using the public transportation, and we went absolutely everywhere! I would highly recommend this tour!

While it's tempting to spend your entire French vacation in Paris, the city is located within commuting distance of so many major highlights and landmarks that it's worth venturing beyond city limits. Your options for Paris day trips can be customized to fit your interests: History buffs can venture to the World War II landmarks of Normandy; architecture fans can visit the many grand châteaux surrounding the city; and wine lovers have some of the world's most celebrated vineyards within reach.
