Fun time in making fresh pasta and tiramisu!
The whole experience was memorable and I learned a lot especially in making the fresh pasta. Francesco, the chef who taught us during the session, was entertaining and very helpful. He guided us through the process of making the cream for the tiramisu and making the dough for the pasta, as well as using the pasta maker. He also cooked the tagliatelle and ravioli, both so delicious! Also got to meet other travelers who joined and enjoyed the class and the food. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family!

Best Afternoon Spent in Naples Food Tour
Centrally located near the Metro line. Naples City proper. 1.2 km if you walk from Garibaldi station. The host’s apartment is on 6th floor, no lift. Three landings between each floor. Our host’s apartment was very inviting and Rosa greeted us warmly. She spoke only Italian. Her partner Sean was also present; He spoke perfect English and is a gentleman and a Scholar. Both are Culinary Masters, not just of the cuisine but presenters of the Historically and Culturally important origins of people, legends, and food from farm to table which all were truly unique, inspiring and remarkable! Beverages upon arrival with snacks. A tour of the panoramic Rooftop dining area and discussion was next. Our first presentation was ingredients and demonstration to make our own individual Tiramisu. This first so the Tiramisu can set in the fridge until after dinner. Hard to resist! Several vintage wines were offered & described. Next all of the ingredients to prepare from scratch our homemade pasta was introduced; Gnocchi of several shapes and sizes made with our own hands. Set aside for later. A truly rewarding experience! Next a delicious fresh Roma tomato salad mixed with mozzarella, a special dried bread, and Calabria onions was prepared by our party and set aside for antipasto; No greens. Rosa and Sean presented her family history on harvest of 150 kg of tomatoes and the family tradition of cooking and bottling; A sample was shared! We adjoined to the Rooftop Dining Area. My wife and I found this amazing and romantic. Next a plate of delicious Homemade Spaghetti pizza, a meat tray of Soppressata di Gioi and Salami; with slices of Rustic Bread. Another wine was introduced. After this antipasto our Gnocchi with Suga was served. Al Dente’ ! Fresh Basil atop this delicious sauce really was extraordinary! More wine, soft drinks, espresso and our Tiramisu!

Great Tour!
Absolutely wonderful experience! The tour was the perfect length—not too long and not too short. Our guide was a fantastic host: knowledgeable, funny, and very attentive to everyone’s comfort, especially when we were guided through the narrower sections of the tunnels. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone, young or old!

Instead of spending hours hunting for the best trattoria, osteria, or pizzeria, try a Naples cooking class. These hands-on workshops take you to the heart of local kitchens—in cooking schools, restaurants, and local homes—to learn the fine arts of Neapolitan cooking. Be prepared to make a lot of homemade pizza, fresh pasta, and desserts like tiramisu—and to celebrate afterward with wine.
