What are people saying about Merida

This was a very full day, well balanced with history, leisure and sightseeing. Mich was a terrific guide, although as the English speakers in a mixed group with mostly Spanish speakers I don’t think we got quite as much information during the day. The Ik Kil cenote is reached by climbing down and up a very long flight of uneven and sometimes slippery steps. Plan ahead for that.

This was perfect for me -...
This was perfect for me - I really wanted to get to Mayan ruins while staying in Merida but I didn't necessarily want to hit tourist-trap bundles that turned the trip into a full day experience. This was all about the highlight: Uxmal. We got there early and had whole sections of the area to ourselves at times. I had a great tour guide (Alex) who was equally happy to proactively give information and answer any questions we had, but also was sure to set aside time for us to wander and take it in ourselves. The tour started early enough that it wasn't too terribly hot out in Uxmal, but then we still got back in time for a late lunch and had the afternoon and evening free in Merida. Even though it wasn't on the itinerary, Alex gave us the option to swing by the chocolate museum (included in many other bundles that you see for Uxmal) and we just saw the grounds and the gift shop quickly for a couple small tastes and souvenirs which was more than enough for the people in our group. It was convenient, comfortable, and informative. Highly recommend.

Day tour with Jorge ( George)
We had a very special day with Jeorge. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the archeological site and the culture and a real people person. The lunch was the best we had in Yucatan and the cenotes were magical. Thank you for an unforgettable day

Uxmal, Kabah, Cacao and More!
This was an Amazing experience! Uxmal and Kabah were beautiful and being able to climb and interact with the ruins was amazing. Mauricio was a great guide and made sure both Spanish and English speakers got a full explanation. There were a few unexpected additions to the tour and at the cacao experience. It was a great day!

Merida is a colorful, playful city with deep roots in Maya culture. Some of Mexico’s best food is here, with cochinita pibil, panuchos, and sopa de lima among them. But many visitors also use the city as a jumping-off point for majestic archeological zones such as Chichen Itza and lesser-known Uxmal and Kabah. Merida tours allow you to do everything even in limited time—go on a food walk, visit the ruins, and dip in a cenote.
