Our guide Tony was amazing. The salt lake was very cool. We saw beautiful birds and had an upfront and close encounter with some crocodiles! It’s a long drive but very well worth it. I highly recommend it.

This trip to Las Coloradas was gorgeous, and a lot of activities (visit the lakes, swimming in the beach, boating in the lakes with flamingos, lunch in Rio Lagartos…), it was very nice to see the flamingos 🦩 and the pink lakes ✨, the guide was amazingly friendly.

We were the only English-speaking folks on the tour but our guide was dual-lingual and translated everything for us. It was a great experience. We loved seeing the flamingos and the Mayan mud bath the most. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience on this tour, I had to move to another date due to not enough numbers on the date I booked, the tour ended up being fully spanish speaking however my guide was so kind and made sure to translate everything for me in english and ensured to check in on me, the actual tour was awesome, Los Colorados was so beautiful and the guide whom took us around was an A+ photographer, once we got on the boats the drivers were always looking for crocodiles and we managed to see 3 and the flamingos were WOW, we were able to view them for a good amount of time and take photos! The clay bathing was fun, all in all this was a great tour! I highly recommend doing this when it is the good season for flamingos :)

Amazing experience from start to finish! Visiting Las Coloradas, Cancunito, and Río Lagartos was such a memorable day. The landscapes were beautiful, and each stop had something special to offer. Our guide was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Everything was well organized, and I truly had a great time. It's a long day but well worth it. Every stop was unique. The salt pans ranged from vivid pinks to dusky browns. Really quite amazing and better than I expected. We did see a couple of alligators and quite a few flamingos. Along with a range of other bird life. The boat ride was fun and an adventure. Our beach visit was great also. Just be aware there is no shade - and throughout the day you do need to make sure you have at least a cap and sunblock or cover up. Lunch was very good - our guide chose a local dish for me and the fish was excellent and also I was happy to have a range of vegetables served with it - as sometimes the Mexican food can get a bit heavy. That cocktail hit the spot also! Thanks to our guide Juan and our driver.

I am giving it 3 starts because the locations are great to visit. The driver and our tour guide were OK and the lunch was at a local restaurant with plenty of meal choices.
Now to the reason I am only giving it 3 stars:
Our location was the last one in the series of pick up points. I was touring with one more person and in this location there were two other people from going in this tour.
When our transportation arrived Tony, our tour rep, asked the other two people in our group to get in the van ahead of us.
At first I thought it was because one of the other passengers was an older looking female and he wanted to be kind. As soon as we found the last two seats I understood that part of the reason why Tony wanted them to sit at the front was because the back of the van had been modified to seat 4 passengers, 4 very thin passengers. We had no choice but to take the last 2 seats available.
The tour was 3 hours away plus time for trips between sites. We were seated in these uncomfortable seats for over 6 hours!
I will suggest posting in the description of the tour that some of the seats will be adequate for a young child only and not for a latin female with normal size hips.
Whoever designed the seating of this van should invite their mothers or four other adult loved ones to travel in the back seats to the same 3 locations and at the end of the tour request their feedback. Believe me, they will not want to use your tour company again as well.

This tour is excellent value and exceptionally well-organised, packing so many incredible highlights into a single day. We received comprehensive instructions the day before, and having booked last minute, we were seriously impressed. Our guide, Juan, created a wonderful, inclusive atmosphere for the handful of English speakers, and Diego kept us comfortable and well looked after in a modern minivan.
Seeing the stunning pink waters and learning about the ecosystem was fantastic. Our guide was incredibly patient and kindly took the time to explain everything in English, which we deeply appreciated as we are in a Spanish and Mayan speaking area. Our boat captain, Martín, gave us an unforgettable experience viewing crocodiles and flamingos up close with total respect for nature. The swims, including the fun Mayan mud experience, were brilliant, and lunch was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety.
It was a fun and exhilarating day, respectful of nature and spent with a great group. Highly recommended.

English/Spanish group was fine until salt production and pink lake segment where only Spanish was spoken. We got nothing about that whole process which was the highlight of the tour. The lunch was not good (fettuccine alfredo) because it had no flavor; should have tried real Mexican dish. The ride on river was uneventful. 1st beach stop was dirty with hundreds of bottlecaps, remnants of food, and seaweed. Good points were the driver was great, riverboat captain was great, scenery and wildlife (flamingos) were stunning, 2nd beach was beautiful with clear water, clean sand and a fun body scrub/swim experience.

I was sceptical about how pink the salt lagoons would be but was pleasantly surprised! The official tour guide at the Las Coloradas Park didn't speak much English, but our tour guide stepped in to help with English translation. He also took loads of photos for everyone on their phones.
Personally I feel that the beach stop in the middle could be skipped entirely to shorten the day.
Then the boat ride on the river was good fun and we had crocodiles come right up to the boat!
A fun day and something a bit different if you already have lots of Mayan site tours booked.

I enjoyed this tour. Even though the weather wasn't good, the water of Las Coloradas were pink and beautiful.
Rio Lagartos was nice, we managed to see crocodiles and some rare birds. It was quite windy though and it rained as well, but that's of course nobody's fault.
I was the only English speaker, but Mauricio still spent enoygh time translating everything for me.
The lunch was only one main course, which to be honest wasn't enough and almost everyone in the group had to buy extra food. I would recommend adding a starter or a dessert.

My february 18 tour to last coloradas, I forgot the name of our tour guide but he is so kind and caring. I am so lucky to have him, as I am travelling solo joining this tour. While he is driving on our way to each attraction, he is already explaining some history and expectations during the tour which saves lots of time, and so we were given good amount of time per location. The Van is very comfortable and spacious, there are stops for snacks and toilet needs. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience

January is an excellent time to visit because the weather is pleasant and it is the dry season which means few mosquitoes. We experienced none at all. The sites on the tour are very nice. The beach for the swim is practically empty. If you like wildlife, you will like the boat tour. Our boat guide could have spoken louder, but otherwise great. Good driver, safe clean vehicle and good guide.

It was a long ride but well worth it. The van was comfortable so that the ride was acceptable. They had a cooler to keep your drink iced which was nice. I enjoyed the pick lagoon as well as the sight of flamingo and crocodiles. The lunch was also very delicious. Though I was the only English speaker on the tour, our guide Raul had always made sure he covered me after the Spanish introductions.

Wonderful experience all around! Top-notch staff and guides helped us have a wonderful and seamless exploration of the pink lakes of Las Coloradas, beautiful beaches, local culture, and the diverse aquatic nature. The transportation was efficient and flexible, and we drove through beautiful villages and obscure natural regions. The pink water was gorgeous, and the beaches were empty and pristine, with warm water perfect for swimming. Our guides were very knowledgeable, and we had fun interacting with the crocodiles, flamingos, and other birds. The food was a nice finishing touch. The staff even brought materials to learn about the birds and binoculars for us to use. We will never forget this amazing experience, and we have unbelievable photos to remember this day. I would highly recommend this company and this excursion, and look forward to doing something like this again in the near future!

It was great you could put your hands in the pink lake in las coloradas. In san filipe the waves were big big. In rio lagarotas you could see crocodiles and red mangrove and there was lots of diferent birds including flamingos!

We opted for the 12 hour salt mine and boat tour. Juan, our driver and tour guide ensured that we had a comfortable and safe trip. Los Coloradas is breathtaking. Martin Jr, our boat guide offered a once in a lifetime experience of petting a crocodile. He also located a flock of pink flamingos and from a short distance , we were able to watch these magnificent birds move through the water in synchronized fashion. Lunch was delicious and the beach was serene. We absolutely loved every minute of the tour.

We had a blast! We saw so many animals, apart from the flamingos, which there were A LOT of. We also saw crocodiles, and lots of birds, which all came eerily close to the boat 😅.
The pink salt lakes were impressive as well, although in my opinion not the highlight (the animals were).
This was a long day trip from merida but they made sure that we had plenty of stops for bathroom breaks as well as stocking up on food.
Highly recommended!

This tour was a bit of a mixed bag. The destinations themselves were absolutely beautiful—Las Coloradas was stunning, the beach was gorgeous, and the boat tour of the river was fantastic and definitely the highlight of the day. I don’t regret going, as the places we visited were well worth seeing.
That said, the bus was completely full, and the long three-hour rides there and back were very uncomfortable. The back seat in particular didn’t really seem designed to fit four full-sized adults.
As non-Spanish speakers, we sometimes felt a little out of the loop. The tour is listed as English-language, but in practice that wasn’t always the case. For example, the local guides we were assigned at Las Coloradas only provided information in Spanish, even though they knew not everyone spoke it. Our primary guide also didn’t always repeat his commentary in English—likely just an oversight—but it did cause some confusion on a few occasions. At times it was hard to tell whether he was casually chatting with other guests or sharing details about the tour, and it felt a little awkward to keep asking for clarification.
There were some truly magical moments, but I think these things are worth keeping in mind when deciding if this tour is the right fit for you.

We'd like to clarify a few points for future travelers:
✔️ Our vans have enough space for the indicated number of passengers, although we understand that long trips (such as three hours) can be uncomfortable, especially on very crowded routes.
✔️ Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at our office, so we always recommend arriving early if you're looking for a specific spot.
✔️ Our tours are bilingual (Spanish and English), and although this is specified when booking, there are sometimes confusions. On this tour, there was a mixed group, and, as you mentioned, some local guides only spoke Spanish. We recognize that at times, information was not repeated in English as it should have been, and we take this as valuable feedback for improvement.

Beautiful pink lake and clear cenote. People enjoy photo taking and swimming in cenote. Guide and driver are nice and keep happy atmosphere in the group. But the time is quite tight!
