Are guided tours in the Maldives worth it?
Yes, guided tours in the Maldives are worth it. Local guides offer valuable insights into Maldivian culture, marine life, and hidden gems that would be difficult to discover on your own. Guided tours not only offer hassle-free transport between islands but also access to traditional villages and the best snorkeling spots.
One traveler who booked the Sandbank Snorkeling and Sunset Cruise tour said: “I had a great snorkelling cruise with Ub & his crew, totally recommend! Saw lots of colorful fishes, some turtles, the water was amazing...the sandbank was pretty cool too. And at sunset, lots of dolphins were jumping around! Just great. Do not miss when in the Maldives!”

Lower cost options include the Private Male City Walking Tour with Optional Vilimale Tour (from US$48 per person).
