The tea ceremony and overall experience was fabulous. Selecting your own kimono and accessories and getting dressed was a highlight. Our tea master was very knowledgeable and adaptable in our service. She provided many interesting facts about the ceremony and made it a very peaceful environment and experience. Love it all from start to finish!
The experience is very well organised and enjoyable. It includes getting dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos, followed by photos and a traditional Japanese tea ceremony over 90 minutes.
This was such a beautiful experience the ladies are great and welcoming. We can’t wait to get back!!

This was an amazing experience from start to finish! The location was easy to find and set in a beautiful venue next to the Samurai Museum, making it a wonderful place to begin the experience.
Everything was thoughtfully organized from the moment we arrived. The staff carefully explained the process, helped us choose beautiful kimonos, and even styled and accessorized our hair. One great perk is that you can keep your kimono until 6:00 p.m., so I recommend booking an earlier time if you'd like to take photos in a kimono while touring the city.
The tea ceremony itself was elegant, peaceful, and incredibly informative. Our instructor began by sharing how she first became involved in the tea ceremony as a child, then told us about her family and personal life, which made the experience feel warm and personal from the very beginning. She also explained the history of tea, from its introduction from China to its evolution into the uniquely Japanese ceremony practiced today. Her explanations were detailed and engaging, and she took plenty of photos throughout the ceremony so we could fully enjoy the moment while still having wonderful memories to take home.
This was a beautiful cultural experience that felt both authentic and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan who wants to learn about one of the country's most cherished traditions.
I had a great time! I went by myself, and the staff were so friendly and kind. They all clearly know what they’re doing, and are extremely knowledgeable about kimono and the tea ceremony! I spoke a bit of Japanese with them, and they were surprised and super supportive. I had the absolute best time talking with them, and the whole experience was 100% worth it for the price. I definitely recommend going!

The tea ceremony was elegant and informative. The hostess was an expert in Japanese tradition and very patient. The business also allowed us to leave with the kimonos to take pictures.
One of my favorite experiences in Japan! My husband and I loved getting dressed in kimonos and learning the history behind a traditional tea ceremony! We also had wonderful matcha that you learn how to make yourself and a few treats.

It was a truly magnificent afternoon. They dressed us in beautiful authentic kimono costumes and the choice of kimonos and accessories was huge.
The tea ceremony was interesting, informative and fun and the lady holding the ceremony has so much knowledge. Afterwards we went to the shrine next door, perfect for photos.

Fantastic experience-lots of information and all very interesting. Tomoko was an amazing host. She spoke excellent English and was very friendly and welcoming, as were all the staff, We thoroughly enjoyed it.
We enjoyed and learned a lot about Japanese tea ceremony customs. It was interesting to get outfitted in their traditional kimonos and partake in their tea ceremony. It was a nice plus that they offer chairs for those that needed them.
Anyone who visits Japan should try to do this experience. It was amazing to learn the culture, etc of the tea preparation and service and to dress in a beautiful kimono.
Amazing and fun way to experience the tradition of making Japanese tea. They dress you in kimonos and you get the royal treatment. The hostess takes you thru the ceremony in a special room and you enjoy sweet treats to complement the tea.
You have the kimonos available for a few hours after the experience so you can walk over to the Shinto shrine and take pictures in your kimonos for an authentic experience.
A fantastic authentic experience, traditional Kimono fitting is brilliant, just the right balance of historical info and tea ceremony, you may take as many photos as you like, your hosts will also help with this. Book it.
