We waited 40 minutes with another customer but the guide did not arrive. We received no message, explanation or apology. We could not get through to the guide even though we had been communicating with him earlier. We are going to receive a full refund but we would have preferred to have the tour!

Dear Susan,
Thank you for your message, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience and the wait you experienced.
In this case, the guide was present at the meeting point as scheduled, however his bag containing his phone was stolen shortly before the tour. As a result, he was unable to contact either the customers or our team during the scheduled time. Once he regained access to another device, he contacted the company directly to explain the situation, and we then informed all affected guests as soon as possible.
We fully understand how frustrating it must have been to wait 40 minutes without any communication or explanation at the time, and we sincerely apologize for that experience.
We would also like to confirm that a full refund has already been processed for all affected customers. While we are relieved this has been resolved financially, we deeply regret that you missed the tour, as we would have much preferred to welcome you and deliver the experience you were expecting.

If you do one thing in Lagos, make it this walking tour and ask for Tiago.
I’d arranged a private tour after the group didn’t have enough bookings, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip. Tiago was born and raised here, and that makes ALL the difference. He didn’t just walk me through the history - he shared the little stories of growing up inside these walls, how life in Lagos has changed, what it’s really like to live here. You can’t get that from a guidebook.
We wandered the Old Town, walked the ancient walls, and made our way down to the beach. He knew every corner. He also suggested places to eat and drink that tourists simply don’t find on their own — the kind of spots locals actually go to.
And if that wasn’t enough, he stopped to take photos for me along the way — including some yoga poses on the cliffs! 🙏
I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. Tiago is the real deal — knowledgeable, warm, funny, and genuinely proud of his hometown. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring with a friend who happens to know everything.
Ask for Tiago. You won’t regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tiago was an excellent guide. Having grown up in Lagos, he was able to inject into the tour his personal experiences and insights. The tour was extensive and covered historical as well as geographical sights. Tiago also recommended a number of things for us to see and do during our visit to Lagos.
