We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the chocolate shop tour led by Paul. From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully organized, engaging, and full of delightful discoveries. Paul is not only incredibly knowledgeable about chocolate, but he also shares his passion in such an enthusiastic and friendly way that it makes the whole experience truly special.
We visited several unique chocolate shops, each with its own story and flavors, and Paul made sure we didn’t miss any interesting details. He explained the origins of different types of chocolate, the production process, and even gave us helpful tips on how to properly taste and appreciate high-quality chocolate.
What stood out the most was Paul’s ability to create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. He was attentive to everyone in the group, answered all questions with patience, and added humor and personal touches that made the tour feel very personal.
We genuinely loved this experience and would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for a memorable and delicious tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Paul was an exceptional tour guide. Truly made everyone feel welcome and included. Great mix of history, walking tour, and chocolate tasting. Learned a ton and there was more chocolate than we could even eat. Would recommend to anyone coming to Geneva.

Anatolie was our guide and he was very friendly and knowledgeable on the history of Geneva and chocolate making process. He took the time to answer any questions and adapted to all participants. The variety of sampled chocolates was appreciated. If you are able to eat all that you are given, kudos, you have a huge sweet tooth. Definitely recommended is visiting Geneva.
Jenny_B, Apr 2026
Olivia our guide made chocolate tasting an even more wonderful experience. She is pleasant, has a great sense of humor, engages with the group. The chocolate locations were varied with established decades old combined with newbies. Would recommend.
Melissa_D, Apr 2026
Fantastique! Paul was THE BEST! Chocolate was varied and sumptuous. We were especially surprised and delighted with the amount of history - not on only of chocolate in Switzerland, but of Geneva as well. Highly recommend - especially pleasant and gracious Paul - to anyone wanting to grow their appreciation of Swiss chocolate.

Isabella was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable, entertaining, and.fun. Chocolate was good. Tour was consistently interesting, old town was fun, and the boat ride was an easier way to get across the lake, then swimming. There is a bit of walking involved, but nothing major, and the pace was reasonable
Response from Host, Apr 2026

Really enjoyed the tour. Anatole was a great guide. I learned everything about chocolate I had no idea I didn’t know. The places visited had some yummy chocolate and were a good mix of different types of chocolatiers. There was also a lot of historical information shared. Anatole then also had many recommendations for restaurants, etc.
Response from Host, Apr 2026

Wonderful guide. Awesome information. Great chocolate selection. Could not be happier with the experience
Wanda_J, Apr 2026
This was a great tour. I enjoyed walking through the city and old town as well as tasting chocolate that is local to Geneva. Paul, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about Geneva and chocolate! He taught us how to really taste and appreciate chocolate in depth as well as the history of Geneva. In addition to that, Paul was well prepared for anything to happen on this tour. My oldest had a nosebleed and he had an unlimited supply of Kleenex in his book bag. He also had wipes, cups for water, a first aide kit… Paul thought of everything!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Hi there! I’m very grateful for your feedback. Tours like this are always better with curious and enthusiastic guests like you 😊
Yours, Paul from Local Flavours Tours
SujithK_P, Apr 2026
I'm a bit late with the review, but I really wanted to say that I enjoyed this tour! It was my first ever food tour and it was the best way to quickly learn about the city, through one of its prized exports. I'm lactose intolerant, and the guide ensured that there was a delicious dairy-free option waiting for me at every stop. We started off with hot chocolate (brilliant) before learning about the history and some other facts of Geneva, while stopping in at some cute chocolate places where we had a ball of a time tasting some brilliant fare.
The guide was really friendly and kind (she was a student too, I think, and clearly passionate about the city), and I ended up making a friend on the trip (we're still in contact almost a year later).
If you've only got a few hours in Geneva, I'd highly recommend doing this!
