we found out the morning of our tour that they had not gotten tickets yet although we booked weeks in advance, and there were no tickets available for our Duomo tour, at which point they said we would be refunded and canceled the entire thing for us. This ruined our entire trip to Florence!

Canceled 4 hours before tour. The tour operator wasn't able to secure tickets and left us with no alternative options to visit the Duomo during our Florence stay. It's been 9 days and I still haven't received a refund.

Hours before our scheduled tour, I got a text message from the tour operator saying that they were cancelling our tour “because the tickets we purchased have been canceled. Therefore, the tour will be canceled and a full refund will be issued.” When I asked what happened — the explanation I received was “ We have exceeded the ticket purchase limits. This is why they are being cancelled.” Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find replacement tickets with another operator given the last-minute cancellation. At a minimum, we should have been given notice much sooner, but it seems as if this tour operator was hoping to purchase tickets instead of having the tickets, which would have changed our thinking when we first purchased this tour.
