Promised a local guide but ended up with an American who knew very little about Crete history, flora and fauna, environmental challenges. We learnt very little. We tried to ask him questions but he was polite but not at all friendly. The second guide was English and equally had no passion about Crete.

Billed as an off road experience. We drove up regular roads and then on to a well maintained track. No excitement to be had. The picture and words on their website suggests otherwise.

Meant to see great views but couldn't see very much crammed in the middle seat at the back. My husband had very little legroom behind the driver. The only person who got to see the views was the front seat passenger, and the driver. We hardly stopped on the long drive so not able to enjoy many views. In fact was firmly told 'No', when I wanted to get out of the vehicle.

At one of the few stops, we visited a pair of churches, neither of which were open so we couldn't to see what the guide tried to tell us about it. Classic comment to sum up the commentary and depth of knowledge, 'Now, that church has many stories to tell', but then no stories were forthcoming. And we passed said church in seconds unable to see it.

Vehicles were a bit dodgy. The one in front poured out smoke and only had one brake light working. The driver couldn't get it to go up a steeper section. Our vehicle, the AC wasn't working properly in the back, and it was a hot day. The suspension suddenly went driving along the main road.

There was no water provided. Not sure what we would have done if the vehicles had broken down.

The guide 'bigged up' the shepherd's hut and said that we would be meeting the shepherd at lunch time so could ask him questions about life on the mountain. The shepherd wasn't there and his son didn't speak a word of English.

In all, a very disappointing tour.

We would, however, like to clarify that one of the participants from your booking sat in the front seat and later declined to rotate with the other guests, as is our standard practice to ensure everyone enjoys the views equally. The itinerary and guiding service were carried out as usual, following our regular program and quality standards. Our guides are local residents of Crete who know the island and its traditions well, and during the visit to the shepherd’s area, they assist with translation whenever needed.
We always appreciate our guests’ comments, as they help us further improve our excursions and services.

We had Olga as our driver, we were very lucky. Her smile and vivacious personality was as big as the Cretan sky. She was very inclusive and informative about the Cretan history and way of life, which is exactly what we wanted. I also like the way all drivers provided information at different stops. This is definitely demonstrates great teamwork. You can tell the team enjoy working, with each other.

Climbing up the mountain and being able to see out across the island was breathtaking. We really enjoyed learning about Cretan history and culture from our guide Giannis, he was amazing! Lunch was delicious but watch out for that Raki!

The whole adventure linked together perfectly, from the moment we left our hotel our guide showered us with facts about Crete and the Cretan people and lifestyle, the trip finished with a visit to a shepherd’s hut way up in the mountain and then experiencing the traditional cuisine of Crete at the shepherds family restaurant. Lots of time was given for taking photos too. Honestly it was non stop. what I’ve mentioned was only a fraction of what we did. Worth every penny. Would definitely recommend it.

Our driver Jonathan was very good and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the other group's company in our van.
The scenery was stunning and it was great to get out of Chania for a change. The lunch was tasty and plenty of it.

9 persons in one crowded car in Covid times is insane! Bad view from the rear of the car, the off-road-part was comparatively short, the food was okay but rather simple. The driver was friendly, but altogether the whole trip was way too expensive in my opinion.

Crete is beautiful. The trip is OK but you spend a lot of time inside the 4x4. The guide is knowledgeable. If you get stuck in the back of the vehicle for the duration it makes the trip less appealing as you see less, hear less, and get pretty banged up as the Jeep does the sharp hairpin turns. I think the driver should have recommended changing seats so everyone can have a similar experience. Lunch was OK but vegetarian option was just spaghetti! (I mean we are in Greece I would prefer Greek food!)

We were two couples and we had a great time! Our driver, Nik, was very informative, entertaining and a great driver - we felt safe the entire time. The views we were treated to were spectacular! We especially enjoyed the wine tasting. The wines were of really good quality and we ended up purchasing 4 bottles. The lunch towards the end of the tour was timed perfectly and very tasty. All in all, it was a very fun and full day and I would heartily recommend this tour!

My friend and I took this trip at the end of our week in Crete at beginning of November. We were the only two on the trip and had a great time. Our driver/guide was incredibly knowledgeable and informative, we were travelling in a Land Rover and so had the best transport for the terrain and he stopped when we asked to look at the marvellous views, and observe the local flora, fauna and birds. We had a wonderful visit to the Manousakis vineyard where we tasted 5 very high quality wines, a lunch in a local family run taverna and all in all it was a super day out. We left the hotel at 8 a.m. and returned at about 4.30 p.m. This is a trip I would recommend to any one of any age.

Auch mit einiger Zeit Abstand habe ich die Tour sehr positiv in Erinnerung. Unsere Jeepsafari entsprach voll der Beschreibung. Wir hatten einen sehr netten gut deutsch sprechenden Reiseleiter, der uns viel über Land und Leute auf Kreta erzählen konnte. Die Weinprobe war sehr unterhaltsam und auch das Mittagessen sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Wir würden die Tour jederzeit wieder buchen.
